I really don't get why it is impossible for you and others to conceive the idea that both model/gun changes and sustainable content can co-exist. People don't want to play with the same guns and models for multiple years in the same way that you would be really bored if a game like COD didn't release a gun or skin for months. As I have mentioned at least 100 times in this thread, you should not carry the expectation that every suggestion posted is supposed to serve the function of solving a problem. It's a mindblowing concept that people might want to suggest something solely for the reason of freshening things up or because they think its cool. (crazy, right?) Also pretending like the work investment isn't worth the outcome is silly as fuck because it doesn't take long to change around models once every few years. Only a couple of guns were suggested here and no donators were touched.

Let me explain how this goes. Bishop makes a forum post detailing how we should change a country, and everyone agree reacts and comments saying: "This could really freshen things up!" Some vets recount their fun times on that faction a few years back Garnet reluctantly agrees, since "this is what the community wants"! He spends dev time updating and changing models, while faction leaders have to update docs and textscreens around the map. The change finally happens. Everyone is elated over the new models and how fresh everything is. They can have some fresh RP on the server during peacetime! After 2 weeks, people are back to complaining, and thinking up ideas on how to improve the "stale atmosphere of the server" once again. - This is not me speculating on what I think will happen, This is actually exactly what happened with the RU > AFG switch that happened in 2021. It got changed, and the server is no better because of it. Some even argue worse, because of the lack of real world information we have regarding AFG. To me, changing models and factions is really a band-aid solution to the issue that many players face, of stale gameplay. So why should we invest in a solution that will make things fresh for two weeks, instead of some real sustenance and content that will invite longevity. This isn't a personal dig on Bishop either, he just happened to make both suggestions. -1

Defusable Bomb Thank you @Theos for bringing light to an old freaking entity that's been forgotten about by GMs after MANY hours of work Defusable bombs now have a 5 minute timer, as opposed to the previous 10 minutes. The radius of defusable bombs has been significantly nerfed from encompassing nearly the entire map, to encompassing an area akin to MHB on Anaxes Non-EOD ceritifed players will have a 10% chance to successfully defuse the bomb, with a 1 minute cooldown between defusal attempts Non-EOD ceritifed players will have a 75% chance to successfully defuse the bomb, with a 1 minute cooldown between defusal attempts Lastly, added an effect for when the bomb detonates. @Theos wants it bigger, i say no. EOD Certification As stated above, going on duty will allow you to defuse bombs at a higher success rate, and other than that, the model has been updated to the latest pack we are using - thank you @Hoal for the reminder. I mean this in a friendly way but if you can access this forum you can use google to learn how to play music on gmod; the barrier to entry for djing is downloading like 2 programs and about a 5 minute long youtube video

(include any proof): So I have been recently threatened to get a perma ban for exploiting because I have a 2 prop dupe that says "Poison" on it via the rope tool (a little backstory as to why im making the report) But it's somehow perfectly ok for a community director to use chair props in the DRP server that you are able to sit in, but it's impossible to spawn in regularly without any extra back up work of any sort. So if my dupe saying "poison" is considered exploiting, than Proggy's useable chairs are also considered exploiting since (previously stated) you CANNOT spawn them regularly without any sort of backups, those back ups being (of course), the rank of "user xd". So the choices of what I think should be done are: I should be allowed to place rope tool sign dupes freely as long as it doesn't obstruct anybody's play, Proggy gets banned for exploiting, OR, proggy will not be able to use anything other than props that can be placed by any other normal players. will it was fun but i will take my leave. i won't lie i am starting to hate the server but not the staff team you guys have helped me be come a better L mod. but the server's community has gone down hill and i have started hating get on the server. so i'm going to stop before i get myself banned. so thank you guys for so much.
