It's time. I have had a lot of fun staffing with everyone and making tons of good friends. @Merk you will probably be the best director for DarkRP yet, you genuinely enjoy every part of DarkRP, and you have tons of good ideas in regards to staffing, and updates to the game. You will do great things as a Director. @xHydrax420x it was great being staff with you and watching you do better with each promotion (P.S im better at siege). @Danny_The_Dog keep doing great things, you know a lot of server and staff information, keep it up. @busterbignutYou went from some random VIP mod I kept hearing good things about, to being one of the best admins I have seen, you actually enjoy staffing and DarkRP in general, You have great potential within the staff team. @Gorditayou broke my heart first </3. @Rosiestill mad you didn't train me for staff when I first got here, you showed me a lot of the ropes for being staff and how to conduct myself within the staff team. Those are just some of the few people I have to thank for my time here in the staff team, it has been great fun and there were some stressful times, but in the end it was a blast. To all the newer admins, I have not had any issues with any of you, keep up the good work and make sure to have fun. A lot of staff get burnt out just doing staff stuff, make sure you have fun too. To the rest of the staff team, keep up the good work I have had very few issues with newer staff and those I had some issues with all fixed the small things they messed up. @AlexConway it was a pleasure to get to know you and work some DarkRP stuff out with you. @Nutter love the server you have created and look forward to all the updates you got planned. It's been fun y'all, I'll still be on the server every now and again, but not as staff. Feel free to ask me questions regarding staff if you need, I got all this useless information in my head.

Description: I recently found out that staff can view PM logs. Meaning, if a player were to send another play a PM, staff can view the PM without the knowledge of the player who sent the PM. This log should not be in the game and should be removed.Reasoning: The reason why PM logs should be removed is because of players' expectation of privacy being breached when sending a PM. PMs are there so players can communicate with each other privately amongst themselves and are expected to be private hence the name "Private Message". Players use PMs often to hand over their discord tags or private information that they do not want other players to be knowledgeable of. Having logs for PMs defeats the whole purpose of having the feature as a whole. This is very scummy and sprouts distrust between the players and staff members of the server. I should not be worried about telling a friend that I'm going AFK, only for a staff member to see the PM and know that I'm AFK and raid me. Players are expected privacy when sending out a PM and having a log for that is fucked up and disappointing. Additional Information: If there is a hidden meaning behind this log, please let the community know. There was no such thing as a PM log when I was staff so an explanation as to why staff have this power would be great.

Community-Wide Management/Executive Roster, Spring 2024 Good Evening Garnet Gamers, This roster is a bit early, but I wanted to showcase before the main promos come out, that the individuals listed here have gone above and beyond in their positions and are worthy of special recognition (a few days early). Server Directors @Harus > StarWarsRP Director Continually over the past 5 months as StarWarsRP Manager, Harus has been an integral part of the StarWarsRP Executive Team and taking charge of the community to ensure its successful growth. Harus has redefined what it means to be a good staff member, never afraid to support his staff team or support other staff teams beyond his own. Harus is known by every player on the StarWarsRP community, and regarded as a stable leader for the community, which is previously did not have. For all his hard work, dedication, and sound counsel - I'm pleased to make him the next StarWarsRP Director. (Keep an eye out as you will see this name in the coming months, as he shows no signs of stopping or slowing down!) @Merk > DarkRP Director Merk picked up DarkRP in a very tumultuous time, but never let it phase him. Over the past several months, Merk has been increasingly more dedicated to the DarkRP community. Merk constantly displays immense fairness, stable leadership, and a unique impartial leadership viewpoint which DarkRP unfortunately has never gotten the chance to experience before him. Recently, Merk has successfully rebuilt a majority of the DarkRP Administration Team by restructuring it from a prior top-heavy, isolated, disaster state, to a more even/fair, multi-contributor team. For these reasons, the next Director of our DarkRP Server, was a clear and easy choice. Managers/Lead Admins @Quads > StarWarsRP Manager Quads has been another large voice of reason within the GarnetGaming Community, both his home server and beyond; routinely he is always available to assist in any way he can. Within the StarWarsRP community specifically, he heavily focuses on bettering our playerbase and their overall experiences. 'Unfortunately', most of what Quads does is widespread and common knowledge within the StarWarsRP community, so I find myself at a loss for words beyond: "Congratulations!" @Failed401 > StarWarsRP Lead Administrator Phil/Failed has been a rising star within the StarWarsRP community; coming from the Gamemaster Team, where he took immense care and dedication to the server, he's progressed and grinded his way up the Administration ranks. Phil continues day in and day out to provide assistance to new staff, gamemasters, command, and new players in general. Similar to the previous names, Phil is far from done within the community, so you can expect to see his name some time soon. @Theos > StarWarsRP Lead Administrator Theos is no stranger to being an executive within Garnet, so when it came time for Harus to select some Lead Administrators to help them run the StarWarsRP Administration Team, this was a natural frontrunner. Theos not only brings previous experience to the table, but a skill to speak one on one to the playerbase to continually grab feedback to improve the community. Thank you to all of you, who continue to support your servers and their respective communities! @Nutter and I so gratefully appreciate everything you do!

How's it going everyone. I understand I have been gone for a while now and it is due to me moving out and starting a new life. I have made the decision to depart from my role as Lead Admin due to the amount of stress moving out has caused me. I loved playing with all of you, and loved helping out all of you new players out there. I do apologize for my absence, as it may have caused some understaffing issues within the higher ups. I will still try to do my part within garnet with what limited material I have. Logging System Migrating from our own custom Logging suite ( one made in 2017 ;( ) in favor of a paid script with tons of extra functionality that is necessary to run a server of our scale PVP Event Report Staff can now go back in time and view a death scene, including the position of the reporter and reportee at the time of the potential RDM event Once rendering the scene, players will be able to navigate the area in "ghostmode" to their heart's desire Staff please beware, while this logging system is as optimized as can be, it features far more features than mine did, as such, FPS loss is to be expected when utilizing this logging system (within reason). Miscellaneous Optimized the server's performance, specifically in regards to voice chat. Returned vape to a size similar to their former, although still not capable of producing the same effect of smoke grenades, thankfully. Knives cannot be dropped (oops) would create an untouchable (invalidated) entity that is stuck in the air until the next server restart. Pointshop (F8) was given the alias commands /ps and /pointshop for members who reported crashing when hitting the F8 key. Created a table of roles that are able to rob the PD Vault (thank you @Merkfor the high quality screenshot) - only raiding roles and CCs can now rob the vault! Created issue where the vault could be raided from too far away Re-created and re-vamped the profanity filter on our server, no longer can players utilize slurs such as the n word/f word without them being replaced by heartwarming phrases, IE: I can't wait to go DJ and earhug you!!! Removed remanants of advertisements for our non-existent Teamspeak server.

It's been a while, I usually come on the forums to lurk every once and a while to check up on how things are doing, and tonight I just wanted to make a post and see how everyone was doing. I don't play GMOD anymore (or play any games in general for that matter) but this community was a big part of my life growing up as a teenager. The server and this community in general got me through some lonely times in my life, so it will always hold a special place in my heart. I'm glad to see that it's still doing well and that it's still kicking, and it's always nice to see familiar names I remember when I played pop up on here. I remember being 14 and working my way up to being the second "General of the Army", and feeling so accomplished. I honestly think that this server really shaped me into the person I am today, it sounds dumb but I really do think it helped me learn a lot of life skills in terms of leadership and building connections with people when I didn't really have anywhere else to turn to learn those things. Also met a lot of cool people because of this community, I haven't really kept in contact with a lot of them but I still think about them a lot from time to time. I guess as a little mini update on myself for those who care, I've been focusing on myself and working on improving myself both physically and mentally. I've been devoting myself to weightlifting & bodybuilding in general, and I've pretty much fallen in love with the gym. Guess I just wanted to make an appreciation post more than anything, was feeling nostalgic and just wanted to say thank you @Nutter How have you guys been?

It was a fun time (again), but I've been going crazy over some shit irl with work and stuff. I wanna thank @Derpza @Payphone @Merk @StarPhantom @xHydrax420x @ChrisRid @Gildarts @Rosie and others I forgot to mention for the amazing time I had on the server while I was staff. Description: Whitelist the following props under Plastic Props, so long as they do not cause server instability issues or crashing problems: models/hunter/tubes/circle2x2.mdl models/hunter/tubes/circle2x2b.mdl models/hunter/tubes/circle2x2c.mdl models/hunter/tubes/circle2x2d.mdl models/hunter/tubes/circle4x4.mdl models/hunter/tubes/circle4x4b.mdl models/hunter/tubes/circle4x4c.mdl models/hunter/tubes/circle4x4d.mdl Reasoning: A lot of precise plastic prop builds, either as a hobo when making fancy designs or when creating a clean looking base, requires circular/round props for detail. However, options for round props as it stands are limited. You can use the trainstation_clock prop or wheels today, but neither are sized correctly when building something thats a 2x2 or 4x4. I believe allowing players to spawn the following round props from the plastic props menu (see screenshot below) would allow infinitely more creative freedom when building a cool shack, a neat prop art, or a well-designed base. However... I did see that last year, Garnet warned props from the Tubes list menu cause server instability issues. As such, I request we whitelist only the round props from the Tubes plastic prop menu, so long as they do not cause server crashing issues. I have gone through things like therapy and have been able to get back in contact with some friends from this community. I am now able to get to know people as my true self and some members of the community want me to return. As well as to be my self among the community. I'm kind of bad at words so I apologize if this is very lack luster.

My reaction was a bit childish, considering I resigned because I felt nobody else was helping on the team and I was being bulled into picking up all the slack that nobody else would do. Not long after, I talked to a fellow member of the community from a nameclan known an ExG. I don't remember their name but they had a JFK profile picture. I was talking to them about the incident in direct messages on my original 2016 account (Since lost to 2FA) and he said "wanna see what proggy looks like?" and I said sure. So naturally after seeing how he looked I decided to take it a step further and direct message proggy, saying they looked like a discord moderator and attaching their face to them. Nothing was shared to anybody outside of the three parties. What followed was proggy proceeding to say "lol" after permanently banning me and disabling my forum account. Considering I spent money on this server, and really had done nothing wrong up until then, I hoped to appeal the ban which I see as overblown.

its at most FRP not scamming. scamming is when you're promised a set amount on something whether you're buying or trading and the other person doesn't hold up their end of the deal and you lose. a very niche definition of scamming but its basically fraud. someone breaking nlr or fail raiding and taking your printers moneys and what not isn't scamming because theres no agreement its just FRP if you're lucky to get that included.

Another main reason why I should be chosen over other applicants is because I will make sure that my events are known by the server. In your own words, what are the responsibilities of a Gamemaster?: The responsibilities of a gamemaster are not always to be running things on the server 24/7 but instead to keep the player base entertained and in a way giving them the option to keep moving forward. We are not here to mandate their every move but instead to start a guiding hand and let their creativity run from there to be something engaging for everybody. Describe how you would contribute to RP as a part of the Gamemaster team: I believe that I would contribute to RP as a part of the gamemaster team not only through events but also through crucial training such as battalions base tryouts because that is what really brings people into the server. Explain your single most creative idea for contributing to the RP environment of the server: I believe that as of right now my single most creative idea for the player base would start out as just training for different quals or bats. However on one of these trainings they would happen to run across random data that wasn’t supposed to be there about a series of attacks coming towards anaxes. During one of these attacks they would get information about republic data being leaked to an unknown sector of space. They would then be sent straight there on the venedor and have to take out a CIS Admiral. The Admiral would release the knowledge of who has been leaking the secret republic files. They would finally, to end the campaign, go to Coruscant and take the Republic fleet member and charge him with treason and conspiring with the CIS. Please list and explain 5 unique event ideas of any scale: [Be sure to include any additional context that may be necessary to your explanation] 1st Event-(On-World Event) (1 EC needed) Start out by going into enemy comms telling droids to set up a makeshift FOB at Athena. From there I would send in a single BX droid (EC) and pods to distract me would go into their base trying to get important information from the holo-table in the lobby. Obviously there will be a shload of clones there to gun the droid down so he will need extra health to actually get to the table and start downloading the data. He will die there never actually retrieving the data but an ENG will gather information from the BX’s head about the location the droid was sent from and what its orders were. Once they have the information they will do an FOB sweep and they will find a heavy resistance from the CIS. There will be a relay dish on the roof along with 2 AA guns on the opposite sides of the roof. Having the EC from earlier now being a TX droid they will be positioned in the small room on the second floor protected by BX’s and B2 droids surrounding a holo-table. The insides of Athena will be scattered with droids trying to hold them back. They will kill the TX and get information about an enemy’s vessel in space that they will eventually have to go to and take out a CIS officer. 2nd Event-(Off-World Event) The 34th Battlegroup is being tasked with taking back a lost space station. They will be sent off in the Venator to reach a Republic space station that was captured by a rogue group of CIS. The Battlegroup must sneak in and take back the base with quiet force until they set up a comms jammer. Once that is set up they are to take out all remaining hostels before relinquishing control back over to the correct republic battlegroup. Maps: gm_lunarbase 3rd On-world-(On-World event) (Only GM assist needed) Starts out with a sudden base attack out of nowhere and after a couple waves tanks will be spawned in to try and take them down a bit more but inevitably the CIS were taken down. After the base attack is pulling back the republic will inevitably do an FOB sweep where they will find heavy CIS retaliation at Olympas where there will be AA guns on the runway and an enemy camp set up in the hanger with a bomb setup but if they don't find it that part does not have to be done. They will take these droids out and go up to the control room where they will find a terminal that a ENG+ must hack through to find information on CIS Anaxes (Off-World event) (1 EC will be needed along with an assist from either the S. GM or a different one) The clones will be sent out by a Naval member tasking them with the capture of a CIS Officer that will be found on the Maleficent's bridge. They won't be given any ordinances for vehicles off the start but they can request fighters once there. They will be sent out to a ventador where they will have to go to the correct cordinece to intercept the CIS Star Ship. Once they are at the correct cordince they will be first hit by turbo-lazers fired from the CIS ship. Once those have stopped vulture droids will be spawned for pilots and pods will be dropped on the runway. When the pilots are in the sky taking care of the droids they will find out about 2 AA guns placed on the hull of the ship above the hangar. Once those are taken care of they will deal with 2 more waves of pods. Then they will board up onto the LAAT/i’s and head over to the CIS ship where they will have to deal with B1 battle droids lining the hanger along with pre-set up barricades and junk in corners. In one of the corners there will be a 4 digit code of 9077 that will let them into the rayshilded bridge where there will be a CIS officer protected by 6 BX battle droids. Rancor will take the officer into custody and transport them back to the republic's ship where more pods will be dropped in a last ditch effort to get their Officer back. Once the republic is finished questioning the Officer the pods will stop and the 34th battle group will return home. Map Codes: Rp_venator_extensive_v1_4 and Rp_anaxes_garnet_v2 (Off-World event) (2-3 EC needed and 1 GM to help with RP/spawning things) The 34th battle group will be sent to Alderaan where they will have to investigate the disappearance of the planet's population. While there they will see that there are dead civilians that the CIS killed while occupying the planet. One EC will be a clone with the CT number CT-3067 who was compromised by the separatist and has been trading secrets and live updates of their location. Right as they find this out the main CIS force will move in, locking them in a position where they will find the other EC who is the oled governor of the planet turned CIS lacky. They will most likely take him prisoner and interrogate him back at the base where he will reveal that a factory is in the makings on the other side of the planet that we are currently on. While in the interrogation the EC “accidently blurts out that the CIS implanted a chip in him that he believes will either kill him, blow him up, or let the CIS track him wherever he goes. If the logs show that I killed more than 3 people outside of the base, then why does the clip show that I only killed 2. Another argument that was made was that "The rocket was blocked by a prop". Even if that was the case, the explosion still shows that I killed only 2 people outside the raid area. Chawhead: "The clip only shows 2 deaths because how could a clip show where everyone died, unless you're actively looking around for them." Again, it's not my job to provide the evidence it is up to the reporter. The clip clearly shows I shot the rocket at the building and killed everyone in there. Unless I used a Davy Crocket, then where else would I have gotten all those kills. Note: this isn't me bashing Chawhead for what he's saying or anything, I'm just recounting the staff members logic throughout the sit.
