DENIED I'm going to deny this report on doodle and here's why: 1. He wasn't in the wrong for banning you, you claimed he did it without context and you told us here that "the mayor let you." 2. You also claimed you only killed two people (which is true) but it shows you as the instigator on 4 people. That's reasonable grounds for attempted mass rdm which is the same punishment 3. I don't believe he was "fishing for bans" he looked at the logs between you and the person you reported and found sufficient evidence to ban you. 4. (And finally) you're only reporting him and not appealing the ban so you know you're in the wrong and didn't want to challenge it I understand why you're irritated because you got banned after reporting someone else, but that's not a reason to report the staff member after he found sufficient evidence against you Thank you for your report, as well as the effort you have put into your report.

neutral i don’t doubt your staffing abilities, but from what i seen on the forums when people are harassing or toxic to you leaves me concerned. Your getting powers and abilities and im simply concerned if someone pushes you too far that your gonna use them in a abusive way. i would like to know how you intend on controlling yourself, steps you will/have taken to not let people push you that far.

@HX8888 Respectfully if you put in a report; even if it's for RDM x1 and the logs show that he's been Mass RDMing he's going to get banned. Vice Versa in this instance, when it comes to anything that's Mass it's taken very seriously and is a 0 tolerance policy. You provided context by saying "mayor had given me permission too", you blatantly admitted to Mass RDMing. I'm not power hungry nor trying to make Garnet Gaming a toxic server, I'm simply following what I was trained to do. What would make the server worse is allowing players to Mass RDM and getting away with it, I'm not trying to seem like a bad staff member according to you but simply following the rules.

Yeah but do you see what I mean? It's even your mentality here, in your own words you'd be doing it to "ruin their day." That's not at all the mentality you should have especially if you're gonna be staff. I have no issue at all with you reporting a toxic player on this server and improving our community by doing so. But, my issue lies within the fact that your attitude is "well if they do so and so I'm gonna do it back and hit them even harder" - while that can work in some cases in life, in a situation where you are a staff member that represents the staff team on a DarkRP server on Garry's Mod, it will not work. I'm not at all trying to harp on you or anything either, trust me I've made a few mistakes here, including when I was on the staff team. No one's perfect and I'll be the first to attest to that. It's just that your mentality needs to change a bit if you're going to be a successful person on this staff team.

The core of this seems to be your frustration with being killed, whether it be from hits or RDM. For the latter, better weaponry wouldn't benefit your situation. Recording software and reporting the events to staff would be ideal. As for hits, they are also very much an inherently unexpected event. I suspect your frustrations would continue regardless of the weaponry, as hitmen could target you from concealed areas without chance for defense.

So, according to what you said the Mayor allowed you to KOS people which is not allowed at all. If you read the Mayor Job rules in the Server Rules forum you can see that it says You may allow certain players permission to enter PD and spend time with you past the 2nd door, but they may not enforce your KOS rules. The mayor CANNOT enforce KOS rules to other players no matter what circumstance, also the Mayor cannot put a law for "KOS Is Legal" No minge laws. (this includes KOS laws, J-Walking laws, and any law that would restrict a player's movement) You did kill more than two people according to logs, therefore it is identified as "Mass RDM" and is bannable for 2 Weeks. The person you reported did get banned for RDM + LTAP but that doesn't mean you can go around and KOS people because the Mayor told you to. Provided in the screenshot with "TCG Pepe but call me Peep" you can also see that he Mass RDM'd as well. I STRONGLY recommend you refresh yourself with the server and job rules, I'm sorry you feel this way about me and I hope you have a good rest of your day!

As others have mentioned if you are accepted onto the team, your tit for tat attitude towards toxicity and harassment needs to stop. The manager at your local Walmart doesn't want to hear complaints that their electronics guy is calling customers idiots, nor would I want to hear you getting into spats with the playerbase. That being said since I'm already referring you, you kind of know where I stand. Just try to be a bit friendlier and calm. +1

Confirming my referral here. I just want to say ever since I met schyzo I have had nothing but great interactions with him. He seems like a very chill individual and every time I see him on the server I enjoy every time I see him. He is fun to hang out with and overall a level headed individual. He has from what I seen tried to help new players and help them to understand the game and if they have any issues tries to help them resolve them. Yes he does have past ban history but it has been a long time in the past and he seems to have grown and stopped that past behavior. I just think with while it is discord moderation does have some experience he can bring to the table. Overall I feel he would be an excellent fit for the staff team. I've always considered it automatically implied that the radio was included in this rule, but as with many things on darkrp, people seem to need everything specified.. So that can be done then. Additionally, as far as mods "blowing up the radios" to solve the problem, I think we can drop the job-ban command down to Admin or Trial Admin and use that to combat these issues. TL;DR - Accepted? Kinda?

this is gonna have to stop if ur gonna be staff member, if someone is being toxic to you in a sit, you mute and warn for diss in a sit, you don’t “return the favor” or treat them how they’re treating you” if someone is constantly harassing you , dont go back at them and report it to a admin + who can handle the harassment reports. theres a difference between being a regular user and a staff member. if you cant handle your emotions and its gonna spill out in ooc, its a bad look as a staff member.

Hi, everyone! I'm not sure if you've seen my name snooping around forums recently, but, if you don't know who I am, my name is Jared! I have been a part of the GarnetGaming community since August of 2016, right before I started my freshman year of high school! Quick synopsis of my time on GG: - I started playing my first stint of MRP near the fall of 2016, ended around the middle of 2017(?) It's honestly been so long I can't quite remember the exact timeframe. I was an active player mainly on the Marines during the days of CSCDesert with people such as Davidson, senorisgrig, Zach Jones, yokedPREDATOR, North, and many more that may pop into your heads. I first messed around playing SAS and had a blast with our dogshit base that Garnet would faint in disgust nowadays. (If you lot from SAS are still around somehow, hello!) - Afterwards I then came back for a short stint as an Army officer, had some fun with that, and was a part of MRP staff for a little while - I then moved over to DRP and eventually became staff - My last and most recent MRP run was in 2021 during the pandemic, became a part of AwesomeAidan's Green Beret, still love that group, lots of homies Why am I telling you guys this? Well...I'm graduating college in less than a month from now. I can't believe that I am still here on these forums after almost 8 years. Eight years of my life have gone by, and, in a weird way, this community reminds me of the journey I went through on a personal level in order to get to this point. Since the days of August 2016, I have graduated high school, got a girlfriend of over two years, lost my virginity, and now I am very close to earning my bachelor's degree in cybersecurity! I am truly a Garnet Gamer! Even though I may not know you, I just wanted to quickly say thank you. Thank you for everyone in this community who has impacted my life. You all have helped mold me into the man I am today...ready to conquer the world. I may not have become a general in MRP like I wanted to all those years ago, or a Super Admin, or a prominent figure in this community, but I have become a man ready to succeed...in REAL LIFE of course! My most prominent memories of growing up have been from playing with this community of leeches, cunts, and dickwads, and I wouldn't want it any other way. I really wish I could've played GMod with you guys consistently for 8 years, but the sad truth is that our personal lives are more important than a video game. As corny as it is to say, it genuinely hurts me that life got in the way. However, I think it is for the greater good. Could I come back and play? I doubt it. I have a woman to worry about now. Is roleplaying as an Army private who is being instructed by a 14 year old kid from California to go and capture an objective from the Taliban even important in my life anymore? Probably not. Yes...you're playing a modded version of Half-Life 2 that got released as a fully-fledged standalone game in 2006, where you roleplay as a Star Wars character, or a military man, or some other stupid shit. I graduated college in 2014, and mostly thought the same thing to your points. I'm 32 now, I've been married for 7 years. Life doesn't really "get" in the way of anything, that just is life. I've played on gaming communities for probably 20 years now starting on CS 1.6, and still kick it in Gmod, or still occasionally CSS. Gaming has just been a past time for me when I've got nothing else going on, it's my way to relax after work. The whole reason I started to play Gmod more frequently in the last 2 years I've been on GG is because it's a gaming forum and community. I will say, that many of you don't know how good you have it to have a dedicated gaming community to play on. These communities were everywhere in the 00's and started to die off more in the mid 2010's, and are more rare it seems in the 2020s. For those who play the servers, and frequent the forums, you are all a part of a gaming tradition that is slowly being lost due to the change of gaming as a whole, and time itself. There's that line from The Office where Andy says "I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days, before you've actually left them". And as probably fucking cringe it is for me to say that, I certainly think of the good old days playing on the PF and HG servers in CSS in the early 2010s that I've dumped thousands of hours into. There is going to come a day this website, and the servers shut down. So soak in the time that you can play on these communities while you can.

i mean its kinda on you if you lose all that money, its not like garnet is forcing you to keep that much money in your printers. I also think when you have that many printers that could supply that money in one withdrawal phase, your base is already nearly impossible to raid anyway? I mean I understand when your raiding someone, but its on you for not withdrawing before you transport. -1 easy solution: Withdraw your money, no need to baby the players

-1 Nobody should be safe from random auto-hits. Removing the possibility for Hobos to be targeted randomly can remove a large % of the server. Hobos are one of the easier targets, as well. God forbid you get someone who's been sitting in their Industrial base farming printers for the past 4 hours. Keep Hobos as a target.

+1 so hard it hurts A few points. Hobo isn't supposed to suck as a role. That makes no in game sense to keep as much fun out of a role as possible. The popular idea that the class should be destitute and literally just do trash runs is wild to me, there's no reason to do that. I especially disagree with your view that it should suck even harder, stripping the player. That would kill the class 100%. If it breaks your immersion, does it not break it when people have a log of shit hovering off the side of their head. Or when they go flying across the map on a bhop, or when a skeleton unleashes rocket after rocket at a single room apartment and everyone just goes about their day? If you too want to bring up crime statistics from IRL, it's been shown homeless also committ violent crime in large numbers, often with stolen rifles or shotguns. It's very feasible a hobo could get his hands on a rifle. There was a train car in San Francisco or LA that a bunch of people, many homeless, robbed and stole dozens of guns back in 2020. If we are going on these same lines, no machine guns for reg citizens. The average man could never afford one so it breaks my immersion to see everyone have them. My main reason for support is because I've been jailed/warned/etc for using rifle as hobo even in cases of defense of RDM where the other player is jailed for his rdm and I'm jailed for using rifle. The rule is stupid, and if it's old it's been a stupid rule for a long, looong time.

Description: It should be amended to the rules that taking from printer(s) when you have broken the raid timer for a base, or came back after dying in a raid and take any amount of money that the player should have to give said money back. The reporter would have to have a clip that shows how much money was in the printers close enough to the raid that an estimate can be made for what needs to be returned. If the player did not return said money to the victim(s), they would be punished for scamming. Reasoning: [how would this benefit our server?] Reason being, if somebody breaks the raid timer or NLR they only get a warning/jail which isnt fair for the players who are printing. The punishment should be fair, and compensate the affected user(s). Additional Information: Just wanted to say I just had this happen with some level 30's who were being toxic, and @Orion8559 took the sit and I never got my 500k back.

+1 I'm not too familiar with your previous reputation on the server, however from what I've seen you've usually been great. Helping out new players and the like. You're previous experience is also a plus. I'd agree with Gunner, that "return the favor" mentality can no longer be a thing if you become staff. We deal with constant minging and toxicity, can't let that affect your judgement as staff. All in all, I see no reason you're undeserving of the Trial position.

I wouldn't be too scared to report someone for ear-raping with the radio. Despite the wording I don't see a reason to kowtow to a minge because he wants to be a rules lawyer. If it's unacceptable on mic it would be baffling to not also regulate the radios. As for your second suggestion, I do like the idea but I just hope someone wouldn't abuse that. So sick of minge DJs at this point. +1

Well the thing is, it specifically says mic. And somebody tried using radios to earrape today and got away with it. Paere could not moderate them. Also, allow staff to reserve the right to despawn/destroy radios or set job to citizen for minge DJ's using the radio wrongly.

You could definitely keep all of the things you said about how your enjoyment and experiences on the server after getting unbanned wanted to make you apply and help out again I think that’s dope, just try to go more in depth about what you can offer to the staff team and answering the question of WHY they should choose you. (Bullet points help a lot here) the other thing I wanted to point out was your bans, I’m no stranger to bans either but I think on a staff app if you have bans, you should try to elaborate on how you’ve grown to learn from your past bans. anyway that’s just my advice to ya, if ya give a fuck haha I don’t usually respond to things on forums but I thought I could give a few tips on applications maybe other people will check it out too. good luck man
