  1. Let me explain how this goes. Bishop makes a forum post detailing how we should change a country, and everyone agree reacts and comments saying: "This could really freshen things up!" Some vets recount their fun times on that faction a few years back Garnet reluctantly agrees, since "this is what the community wants"! He spends dev time updating and changing models, while faction leaders have to update docs and textscreens around the map. The change finally happens. Everyone is elated over the new models and how fresh everything is. They can have some fresh RP on the server during peacetime! After 2 weeks, people are back to complaining, and thinking up ideas on how to improve the "stale atmosphere of the server" once again. - This is not me speculating on what I think will happen, This is actually exactly what happened with the RU > AFG switch that happened in 2021. It got changed, and the server is no better because of it. Some even argue worse, because of the lack of real world information we have regarding AFG. To me, changing models and factions is really a band-aid solution to the issue that many players face, of stale gameplay. So why should we invest in a solution that will make things fresh for two weeks, instead of some real sustenance and content that will invite longevity. This isn't a personal dig on Bishop either, he just happened to make both suggestions. -1
  2. -1 This was honestly a great attempt, and I almost +1'd due to the amount of effort you put in. The reason for my -1 comes from the fact that you conveniently deleted and forgot the fact that you need 2 paragraphs, coupled with a few different grammatical and spelling issues. If you put a little bit more effort in next time I'm sure you will be considered heavily for the position!

    RP Factions

    +1 Adding RP factions as a second life give players a real opportunity to flex their RP skills, and having both MP and Seals(or whatever it gets implemented as) will give RP inclined players options on what to focus towards besides their main life. Adding the equivalent to Tali would not be hard also I am a huge proponent of this, as the GM who hosted the ROE change tests alongside Smity. It would be extremely easy to set a group of players to Seals or AFSOC models, change their names and jobs, and have them RP for a peacetime to prove the concept actually works. To those who say the server might not have room for another faction, we recently maxed out pop, and have been close to that on several days before and after. Furthermore, second life factions most likely don't detract from main life faction population, as the players in second lives either (A) Do not play on those main lives regardless in war or peacetime or (B) Only join the server for the RP.
  4. I know this is something Ozzy mentioned previously, but more interactable objects around the map (comms door for example). Having little bits of spice like that can really freshen up the gameplay and give us a map that feels dynamic and fun.

  6. +1 I think talking over bodies builds character and even leads to a good bit of banter between players. Actual toxicity will happen regardless of this rule being in place. The other thing is, if you don't want someone to talk over your body, just don't die to them.

  8. -1. I have heard great things about you from your fellow officers, but that is about it. I have rarely seen you in game except for a few rare scenarios. While I respect that you may be doing work behind the scenes for army, We would prefer you be a little bit more active and in touch with the community before becoming a staff member. Good luck!   9. Denied You put decent effort on your app, however the types of events you listed (zombie events) shouldn't be the main bulk of your ideas/what you would be hosting. On top of that, your conduct in game does not show me that you are ready to take this responsibility. From your +1's, I can see that you may have good ideas that you can put to use, so use these 2 weeks to work on your behavior as well as helping out GM's with their events.   10. Good evening all. As a skinny person by nature, bulking has always been quite difficult for me, However, I think I have finally found a good solution. Every day I drink a protein shake, I don't typically measure out my amounts but today I did. Here it is: Milk 240 Calories Yogurt 70 Calories Peanut Butter 200 Protein Powder 160 Hemp Seed 180 Oats 150 This typically puts me at around 800-1000 calories on top of my 3-4 meals I eat. If any of you are struggling with bulking I would recommend starting with something like this. I'm posting this here to ask, 1) Do these numbers look accurate/normal? 2) What are your guys' bulking (even cutting) regiments/hacks. Would love to see them!
  11. This thread is perfect for me. I have a couple ideas that are references from other games. A few others are original ideas. I'll do my best to include pictures as well as descriptions of what the objectives should play out as. I will also try to include RP reasonings for each objective, as I believe that the best objectives are ones that are very balanced for war, and give a rich backstory for RP events. 1) Rust inspired CQC objective Many people have fond memories of Rust in MW2. I'm hoping to invoke that feel with a CQC style objective, reminiscent of some areas on Power Plant on Omega. This objective would feature small tight corridors, as well as cargo boxes on the outside to give that feel to the area. At the top, you would have areas for sniping out and defending the objective, also giving players the option to trick-shot if they so please. Rust as an objective would give many opportunities for RP, as we could do scenarios involving oil drilling and construction. 2) Airport Terminal was also another classic from MW2. I really love the back areas that give you a good opportunity for CQC, combined with the big open lobby and the huge outdoor area with the planes, giving players excellent opportunities for sniping and long range gun fights. The "3 lane style" of map that Terminal has could be accentuated with our version of the objective, most likely called Airport. One lane could be an outdoor shooting area with large cargo boxes and large open spaces for sniping and rifle fights. The middle lane could be the escalator that leads into the main lobby of the Airport. The third lane could be a small tight corridor with sandbags/boxes/luggage to give a nice CQC area. The other reason I would love having an objective like Terminal would be for the RP(think of events like No Russian). Possible events could involve important VIP's being flown in and defended, as well as civilian RP and terrorists taking over the Airport. 3) Mineshaft As previously mentioned by Don and Toyto, an underground objective could be a really cool one for combat and RP. My idea of this would be a large mineshaft area with several interconnecting tunnels. The Mineshaft could have a bit of a makeshift feel, with wooden braces and tight corridors. It would be interesting to add crawlspaces and spots you have to crouch into as well. This system of tunnels could culminate into a large quarry area to give some longer range combat. It might be cool to experiment by having a large pit in the middle that you can fall to your death in, giving the map a bit more of a dangerous dynamic. A mining area could have good RP implications for mining or drilling events as well. 4) Bridge When trying to take inspiration from other games, my mind immediately drifted to COD and HL2. Today, I love to remember and revisit the level design from HL2, as I believe some of the greatest scenes in video games come from these maps. Taking inspiration from the road and bridge sequence shown here in the video, I believe a bridge type objective could be really cool. It would be a vertical map suspended high above a deep valley. Instead of the typical 3 lane area I talked about, it could be something like a multi-level map with multiple floors. As I'm writing this, it makes me think of Detour from Black Ops 2. The main level would feature long lanes to gun down with rifles and snipers. These lanes would occasionally be broken up by crashed cars. There could be a security checkpoint building in the middle for CQC and defense. The second level would be the infrastructure of the bridge, much more reminiscent of that HL2 level where you are jumping between broken railings. This could be a very open area for long range combat, with cover being given by the occasional metal sheet wall or massive support beam. To navigate between these floors, you would have the bridge control areas built into the side of the mountains, alongside ladders and stairs, with the main level of the road being caved in at some points, allowing you to run between these floors. If needed, you could add a third floor suspended above the main level, where people risk getting killed from many angles to hold down the lanes of the main level. 5) Other ideas Here are a few other ideas, a bit less detailed. A river area with water in the middle, with buildings on both sides to give some rooftop action and sniper fights. A town center revision possibly. A shooting range objective. A shipyard with several boats and cargo on top lined up on a pier of some sort overlooking some water. Adding onto the shipyard idea if water isn't possible. A drydock area with large boats and pits with some small logistics buildings and maybe a large crane you can climb on. These are all of my ideas, please feel free to ask for clarification. I would be more than happy to help Garnet or anyone involved on making the maps on showing them exactly what each of these maps could entail. I'm no level designer but I feel like I have a good grasp on game balance and combat.

I take two scoops of plant based protein after every workout with milk and a couple of other things for bulking (peanut butter, bananas, etc.) Thinking of doubling this to two every day since I'm trying to bulk right now. For pre workout, I usually drink a cup of black coffee, and listen to the doom soundtrack while lifting. I also read old text messages from when we were still together.

  14. Denied While your event ideas are decent, you lack enough community support and GM experience to be accepted. I would suggest grabbing some referrals and rewriting your paragraphs when you reapply next.   17. Here's my issue with the ban itself. This clip to me shows a disregard from the staff who reported him to actually try and prevent what was happening. Instead of urging him not to do an action that he could get unbanned for, they sit and watch, even saying "LOL" - Crypt(miss ya). While I don't hold any ill will towards anyone involved, I believe the nature of the ban was not of good faith. The punishment was disproportionate to the crime committed, especially when the staff involved were complicit. I have never been a fan of permabans. Players need to be given chances to change and grow. If Kermat comes back and proves to us that he didn't learn from his mistake, we simply just ban him again. +1
  18. You are talking about my part of the suggestion now. The way it works is, both sides have their bonuses included in any roll type situation, so if two people with +10 are on opposite sides of an interaction, they will get cancelled out. If a DF officer(+15) interrogates a TSFU Enlisted(+5), the bonus would only be +10 in favor of the DF officer. Giving sub battalions or MOS specializations would not just be for 18F. I'm saying that all SOC factions would have access to an intel gathering division if they wish to implement it, 18F is just GB's version of it. This gives them the opportunity to add +5 to their roll, giving different battalions different purposes. It wouldn't be unfair for GB to get an advantage, because every single SOC faction has the option to give some of Its players an advantage. I am still 100 percent fine with this suggestion being implemented even this specialization is not added.

I was planning on making a suggestion about the roll intel system, and I have another addition that I believes adds a bit more depth to the system SOC Specialty Essentially, we should add roll modifiers, based on which faction you are in, and your status in it. These would add on top of each player's roll number, giving them a little bit of buffer. For example, being in Delta Force would grant you +10 to any roll, and if you are an officer, then you get another +5 (example values) Example Values: I put together a mock table of the values that may be added on top of roll. Two things important to note. Roll values cancel out (two T1 officers in a roll against eachother both have +15, so this would cancel out). Certain battalions in SOC factions can also boost roll chances, to increase the emphasis on specialization, for example, 18F (green beret intelligence division) would have the same roll chance as a DF enlisted. Any "Intelligence battalion" in any SOC faction can add +10.   21. Reserves Change Part 2! It has been roughly 3 months since I posted my first thread about the reserves changes that were made by Theos in March. This post garnered community support, and after a few months, only the staff vote for past reserves was reinstated. The current iteration of the reserves system can be found here: Proposed Change: Me, alongside several staff and community members have asked Smity to get rid of the rule that strips reserves when joining a faction on the same side. For example, if you joined Green Beret while you have Army reserves, those Army reserves are stripped away. I believe that this creates a toxic atmosphere around reserves, and new factions. There are several players that have approached me saying that they would love to join a faction, but do not want to lose their reserves on that side.| This rule only limits what people can do, and the last thing we need in MRP is limits for things that don't actually harm the server at all. In simple terms, this is what reserves should be (per Ozzy): Current - Any faction US Reserves - 1 Faction AFG Reserves - 1 Faction Counterargument A few popular counterarguments have been brought up by opponents of my proposed change. I will list some, alongside my rebuttals to these. Players with reserves on the same side as their main life would abuse O-1 permissions O-1 permissions allow players to do things like Raid, Kidnap, and Assassinate. These are all sources of entertainment for players, and there is no reason to take them away from players who earned them. Players with reserves can jump directly to officer ranks without working for it, skipping people who are working hard to get officer promos. In my personal belief, I think that a faction leader should be in control of their faction completely. If someone wants to come off reserves to an officer position, that route should be open to them. However, if the rest of the community sees this as too power hungry, it would be easy to add a rank setback for players coming off reserves, to prevent this. For example, players coming off reserves would be set to a maximum rank of E-7 or some arbitrary rank. Players don't need reserves at all. Reserves to me are trophies of accomplishment, and a testament to the incredible dedication and leadership that the players who have them had. Some people argue that reserves should be used by players to assist the factions, and I believe that this can be true in some cases. But mainly, reserves should be used to honor players achievements, giving them a "reward" for their work. Why did Kurtle have to make a forums post about this? I was originally against the idea of making a forums post addressing this, as I believe the answer is fairly obvious and this change can be made easily and instantly, and would make mostly the entire community happy. However, I was asked by Smity to make this post to get community feedback, so please feel free to leave your thoughts, agree and disagree on this thread.
