Heads Up Display Our old hud has returned! The hud had some of its errors patched up by @time, turns out our actual MilitaryRP database is too extensive and took too long to fetch information from, hence, causing errors on connection. I have revamped the hud entirely from its last state so that the compass is much easier to read, as well as relocating all our servers' UI elements for the war system, squad system, and missions system! Squad System System in utilization Optimization Patch You may notice higher FPS on the server under a heavier load, however, this would be off-set by the newly introduced rendering of beacons for wartime, which are very expensive. Tickrate The server tickrate was lowered from 33 to 22. We ran the server at a 33 tickrate with 100+ players on for 4 consecutive days, and while it was very stable, this may cause instabilities in the future, seeing as this tickrate was intended for 30-60 players at the very most. Yes, our servers are optimized, but no, I don't want one single addon like WAC and vehicles causing severe lag if they're overloaded. Vehicles Due to the latest Gmod update seemingly breaking compatibility with VCMod and certain vehicles, I had taken away driver/passanger damage from vehicle occupants. Instead, the vehicle will start with 300% health, and upon blowing up at 0% health, all occupants will receive 40-100% damage. This should resolve the issue with players dying from being sneezed at while driving a vehicle WAC Reworked the sound system for Aircrafts Aircrafts should no longer invade your eardrums at 500db, but rather play an obnoxiously loud sound when immediately nearby, and have a decent sound dampening effect with distance. War System Search and Destroy Entirely revamped by myself and @time Time actually gave me the really neat idea of having the bomb switch between teams IE: one turn US plants, the other RU plants the bomb. Each round lasts 3 minutes, with 2 opportunities for players to spawn with a bomb for the purpose of planting. Players will be given a 300XP bonus for each bomb-carrying player they kill, while the rest of the bomber's team will have to protect them at all costs Planting the bomb successfully will grant you 1000 additional XP Defusing the bomb successfully will grant you 1500 additional XP Objectives Beacon for Objective wars have been added back, this may result in an FPS dip, but should even out since an optimization patch has been pushed alongside this change. 10 Quote Link to comment

It brought about a lot of optimization and actually brought a working gamemode for war other than the repetitive OBJ wars. However, the only thing I am going to note is that as a result of the drop in tickrate firerates for guns got all fucky (severe drop in firerate). If I remember correctly this is a pretty easy fix in general but other than that the update has been really smooth with minimal complaints around the board.
