The Garnut Popular Post Nutter 15,143 Posted December 30, 2021 The Garnut Popular Post Share Posted December 30, 2021 Thank you to everybody who beta tested ~200 unique players reaching 66 players at peak Optimization Lag on beta testing was unbearable As such, some addons have been partially rewritten for optimization Public addons were upgraded to remove "Digital Right Management" systems as to spare server bandwith and CPU usage Tickrate was dropped significantly as it should not matters significantly in a PVE server (unlike MRP's PVP) Events Re-created every mission type on the server as per @Ziggy's request to have them more RP oriented Events will no longer carry an OOC hud presenting a scoreboard/most kills, as well as CIS equipment health (IE: MTT's Health Bar) Instead, the events will start randomly, unreported, and will go on until discovered. Once discovered, AI will notify the server with a brief message, examples: Upon destroying the Events' objectives, the NPCs will persist for minutes after the event depending on server's CPU usage, and if lower population count, they will persist until eliminated. /endevent command added to forcefully end event if GM is hosting a 'real' event Current Event Types: Village Distress Difficulty: HARD Player:NPC Count - 1:1 Radio Tower Jam Difficulty : EASY Player:NPC Count - 3:1 Gonk Droid Recoded Droid will no longer play a sound upon press your activate key (E) but rather when receiving ammo The ammo limit has been set to 10 clips (~450-500) reserve ammo for rifles and pistols (Primary, Secondary) The ammo limit has been set to 4-5 for grenades (Accessory) Miscellaneous Team Chat Implemented 'U' teamchat for all factions to use in order to communicate Gamemaster System Set an exception to Lead Admin > Manager > Superadmin from having to go on duty from spawning items Allowed all GMs to spawn SENTs (scripted entities) Commands !discord will print GarnetGaming's Discord link !content will print the official Content Pack's link and copy to clipboard if on chromium! 10 1 2 Quote Link to comment

Bortnik_ 299 Posted December 30, 2021 Share Posted December 30, 2021 I like how you made the events “silent” until they’re found, that definitely makes it more interesting, as well as the removal of OOC HUD items like enemy health-bars.
