Auraa 1
In-game name: CO SR CBM Lt Colonel 5528 Aura Age: 21 SteamID (https://steamid.io/): STEAM_0:1:110621238 Warns: 0 (? Pretty sure I think) Timezone: CST Playtime?: 16 Days, 2 hours Do you have access to a microphone?: [YES/NO] Yes Do you have the ability to record Garry's Mod videos?:[YES/NO] Yes Referral(s): [What administrator recommended you to apply?] Quite a few, Cameron, Daph, Pepsi at one point, among other T GMs from my own batt. Past experiences as a Game Master: [Optional] Years back when I was but a little SWRP fledgling I was a GM on 2-3 old dead servers for quite a long time, then I moved into dev work. Why should we choose you over other applicants? [minimum 2 paragraphs] As a CO I am required to do activities for my battalion. Lately I have realized the benefit I could bring to the 212th by being able to host my own activities and not rely on other GMs for timing, interpretation, or other translation of what I want into the actual mission. As someone who has played over 4000 hours of Garry's Mod, I have a good understanding of all the game systems, many of the addons used for GMing, lots of prior experience on servers for multiple years, and a plethora of ideas to enact as GM activities. I also know the benefit a well-known player can bring as staff, as people will like to come to them for issues, assistance, or other involvement that being a GM allows me to help more in, doubly so as a commander. I have also been recommended as a GM during many of the GM plugs, so hopefully those who vouched for me still want me to apply! Besides all of this, I know how to engage players, I can get people riled up and excited for a mission, training, activity, whatever it may be, and deliver. If I am going to give the troops something to enjoy they had better enjoy it to the max, and I am confident I can deliver that. Have you ever been banned or punished on any server? If so, Include details: Long ago yeah, quite a few DarkRP servers for mingeing cause I used to go around and mess around on those servers for fun. How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: Not a tremendous amount, but a few days of the week I try to be on and do stuff for the 212th, so hopefully at least 2 activities a week. In your own words, what are the responsibilities of a Gamemaster?: At its core, the server is meant to provide a fun space for people to enjoy Star Wars, make friends, roleplay, etc. Gamemasters enable and support this purpose by carrying out the day-to-day activities that constitute fun for the players. This includes holding missions, assisting with tryouts, trainings, and base attacks. Generally GMs are tasked with enabling roleplaying and creating fun for the players in a way that aligns with the servers goal. Describe how you would contribute to RP as a part of the Gamemaster team: I like to be fun, goofy, but also lore-accurate. I want players to challenge themselves when I do missions, my battalion ain't no wussies! Roleplay is something I think should be fun, not stuffy. When people don't flex things a little to accommodate the players it gets boring and irritating quickly. My style of GMing involves a lot of adaptation, response, and acknowledgement. During missions, if my troops are doing too well, and the mission was supposed to be difficult, you bet Im going to spawn like 10 more pods with perfect proficiency droids and really make them work for the victory. I want them to feel like clones under fire from an impossible enemy, but at the last moment they pull through. That's something I feel a lot of mission lack currently, is true difficulty that isn't just railroaded impossibility. Explain your single most creative idea for contributing to the RP environment of the server: To be honest, most of my GM activities will revolve around my battalion for missions and trainings. That is not to say I would not help out other battalions doing trainings or missions, but I do not plan to do many if any full missions as a GM. However, for my battalion missions, I would like to involve other battalions, cross train and so on, and in doing so, create a compelling narrative that continues for multiple missions. One idea I had was a storyline involving lots of character building, where a village folk (on CIS Anaxes) are involved in conflict with the local CIS general. They need supplies so a few missions would be spent more stealthily delivering supplies to them, building up these characters, and involving little open combat, rather smaller scale skirmishes. But as the missions progress, the villagers get greedy, they begin to try and steal from the CIS themselves to get more food, and in doing so, are captured. Once they are captured, obviously our clones will be forced to rescue them, as they are former citizens of the Republic. However, when the troops arrive and go to rescue the villagers, it is revealed that it was a trap, and the CIS general informs the clones that the villagers have been using the clones to sell intelligence about republic weapons to the CIS in exchange for food. The general offers to release the clones if they let the villagers remain as slaves, or they can die (ensuing a large battle). Whatever the clones choose, that will happen, if they want to avoid conflict, they can simply walk away, proving the CIS general a surprisingly trustworthy man, or they can, despite the betrayal, attempt to rescue the civilians, and in the process, put their own lives at large risk. Throughout the missions I'd like to establish good characterization for the general, the villagers, and maybe side characters if I have the ECs for it, but that's the basic plot outline. Please list and explain 5 unique event ideas of any scale: [Be sure to include any additional context that may be necessary to your explanation] Ideas for missions or events: CIS weapons depot raid, troops get there to discover it was a false flag and there are civilians planted by the CIS that the clones may end up killing to try and paint the Republic as evil. The clones are sent to the location of a distress beacon, a merchant vessel was attacked by pirates commandeering a CIS ship (providence on the venator map), the clones have to go and rescue the merchants The Republic was given word of a prototype for a legacy weapon from the start of the Clone Wars that was built to crumble Geonosian tunnels, but was lost during the battle of Geonosis. Engineers must go locate the prototype, and activate it, resulting in destruction of a droid factory on Geonosis. The troops are sent to a swamp in search of a CIS whistleblower hiding from the CIS, upon capturing the whistleblower it becomes apparent that the CIS planted a bomb in him as a trap. EOD must defuse the bomb or the whistleblower and all his information vanishes. If they save him they get intel. Clones get deployed to Coruscant to protect construction workers as they rebuild a crucial support for the undercity waterline, but gangsters capture some of the workers and hold them for ransom. The troops can either kill all the gangster and endanger the workers, or negotiate with the gangsters to eliminate a rival gang leader and avoid further conflict or loss of civilian life. 1 Link to comment https://forums.garnetgaming.net/index.php?/topic/26926-auras-staff-application/

AlexConway 1,259
Confirming referral! Very solid application, the event ideas could do with some expansion, but the concepts are there - also will need to verify age, since I'm pretty sure you're 41. 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.garnetgaming.net/index.php?/topic/26926-auras-staff-application/#findComment-202655

AlexConway 1,259
ACCEPTED After deliberation with the StarWarsRP Gamemaster Leadership Team, we have decided to accept your GM Application. This is largely in-part to some, but not limited to, the below reasons: Solid Ideas, they just need some expansion from a Senior GM. Otherwise, the remaining application is well written. Good Community Reputation/Feedback (I can bully you easier for LVS stuff) Welcome to the StarWarsRP Gamemaster Team! We're looking forward to getting you trained and having you on board! Please do not use any commands/permissions until you have been trained Link to comment https://forums.garnetgaming.net/index.php?/topic/26926-auras-staff-application/#findComment-202694
