Past experiences as staff: Played many moons ago as a darkRP mod back when Evocity was a thing, driving custom cars and whatnot. I cannot put a name to the old mod tools but I used to run the usual full suite of tools, not just teleporting, jailing, reconnecting, and what have you. Now with that being said I would love to go further into this conversation over the mic in discord or in game regarding further staff experience, as I have been a mod (and even dev) on minecraft servers as well as played an important leadership role in my many years of World of Warcraft experience. I know what it takes to lead a team and I also know what it takes to lead by example

Allow me to introduce myself more formally. I am the 31 year old Canadian with a desire to not just ensure a safe and enjoyable environment, but to enhance the player experience leaving them with a desire to want more. I pride myself on honor and integrity, which to me is incredibly important when forming interpersonal relationships with staff and players alike. Without having a strong central identity and moral compass, it can be considerably more difficult to win friends and influence enemies. This is why I believe in staying true to my word and taking responsibility for my actions. When I make a mistake and someone points it out, I respond kindly saying "Thank you for the information. I will actively work to improve myself." There is no sense in trying to fight back or attempting to carve out a reason for the path I am taking. I would rather see to it that we be constructive in conversation and seek to learn and grow from each other.

 

With an extensive history in gaming, leadership roles, a bit of development, and many lives influenced over the past 22 years of my gaming career, I believe I am well poised to offer a fun, loving, and playful environment for all roles and players within the GarnetGaming DarkRP community and beyond. I would make it my goal every time I log on to provide the utmost professional service to the players, bringing life to certain areas of the game which may be lacking. For example, the mood can change dramatically from wanting to raid the police department to being part of a hobo gang and trashing the streets. Following the current community's interests and reading the lay of the land is something I am keen at and ready to help when it comes to adding to the player experience by being a part of what is going on. I would also like to inject life into the server through events similar to the ones hosted by staff, including but not limited to "Russian Roulette". These types of events, or those that more closely intertwine with actual DarkRP roles and responsibilities are the events that spur activity and breathe life into the server, on top of the age-old tried-and-true base game of DarkRP.

 

Being at an interesting point of my life where I have recently left a position at work, my schedule remains highly volatile meaning anything can happen. That being said, for the hours I am not job hunting or performing other real-life duties, I plan to make every conscious effort to bring myself to the table to act on my best accord for the Garnet Gaming community. What has been shown to me in my first few hours up to now and going on into the future is something that I see as very bright for such an old game. The generosity of the community, the digital friendships I'm garnishing, and the amazing times I've had with members on a server where no one day is the same are all something I will treasure. Naturally, I want to reciprocate this feeling. I would like to not just continue to give back in the form of extra deals as gun dealer, cash giveaways to low level new players, and showing people my hobo trash can route for easy money are just a few of the ways I pay it forward. Now I am seeking staff status as I want to be able to go that extra step further in securing a fun and safe digital environment for all to enjoy.

P.S. I believe Garry's Mod is the true first "metaverse" (lol)

It has been years if not over a decade since I have last played and do not recall any events where I would've been punished on any past servers.

How much time do you have to contribute to the role?:

My time varies greatly but I should be able to pull a absolute bare minimum of 10hr per week if not much more!

If you have any, what hobbies or activities are you involved in outside of Garry's Mod?: I love to go skiing, hiking and camping! I am actively at the gym 5 days a week, either freestyle weight lifting targeting 3 body groups after a good 20 mins to 100 stories on the stairmaster, or doing these gym classes that are 1hr long each. It is impossible to express in such a short window my adventures and the amazing feats I have achieved, but it is noteworthy to mention that I do a large amount of my outdoors and wilderness activities completely alone. I find peace and solitude amongst the wilderness, despite the obvious risks associated with it. I feel like this is a conversation best carried out further and would love to chat with other staff.

So where to start, you're a good age and clearly a mature person, in-game I've had nothing but good interactions with you and never saw you cause any trouble. You've quite visibly put a lot of effort into you're application and the paragraphs went above and beyond, plus you've read the rules. I chose to give you +1 for a number of reasons, 1st was your enthusiasm to help others as you described in your paragraphs. I hate that I even have to bring this up but other applicants usually just state what they would do and leave out the parts which would convince me they would actually go through with their actions, so thank you for giving examples! 2nd, You have experience as staff on other Gmod servers, even if it was a long time ago. 3rd, others seem to think highly of you and say that you have positive community interactions.
