Past experience as a Game Master: [Optional] Way to much to list, but was a Head GM and Owner of my own server a long time ago, was a GM on Garnett SWRP a while ago (thought it was time to come back), and Have head GMed on many servers.
Why should we choose you over other applicants?: [minimum 2 paragraphs] I believe that I should be chosen for many different reasons. Lets start with the experience, I have been a Head GM or admin on many different servers, I know how to use everything and do it effectively, heck I was a GM on the server for a awhile already. I would be able to jump back into the role with ease helping those who need it and running the later night events with me being PST and all. I even have my own Google Doc full of Events and Ideas for some that use, I've been doing it for so long its 23 pages. 

The other big reason I believe I should be chosen is that once I get back into it with my work ethic, I believe that not only will I churn out good and unique events. But ones that can be made quickly when needed that are player choice driven and are quality. I believe that if the players can decide what could happen then a GM should allow that to happen and think quickly and on the fly to let that become truth taking there creativity they have and making it happen. Just all-around making that player experience better, and I believe that my creativity is good enough to help players to enjoy the server even more.

In your own words, what are the responsibilities of a Gamemaster?: The Responsibilities of a GM as started above are to improve the player bases experience with there creativity. Not only that but to make sure that players are never bored and have something to do with events or when they need help with trainings or patrols they help out there as well.

 Describe how you would contribute to RP as a part of the Gamemaster team: I would have situations made in my events that help drive player decision which then helps with RP because then players would not feel restricted and can think on the fly, I would just be there to tell them what they are seeing or what is happening around them, using creativity to my advantage and improving the players experience trying to make the age old game of GMOD feel like something they have never played before.

Explain your single most creative idea for contributing to the RP environment of the server:  Well like I said above, I want to make GMOD feel like a game that the players of the server have never played before, using my creativity and the effects are key to doing that. If you can use the right effects in the right scenarios it can make the game feel completely different for the player.

The Sith Tomb

Requirements:

  • Four Game masters

  • One Jedi

At briefing: Have a Jedi state that one of the Sith holocrons retrieved by the Republic was a map leading to a Sith tomb in an unknown system.  The admiral will then state that the clones must mobilize immediately to prevent the CIS from unleashing the horrors of the tomb and causing great damage to both sides.

  1. Spawn a pair of LAATs for the clones to leave the Venator

  2. Once the LAATs exit the Venator’s hangar, switch map to rp_vanqor_v1

  3. Have one game master become a droid commander

    1. Set their weapons to the weapon_752bf3_rt97c, weapon_752_dc15sa and weapon_752_e60r

    2. Model them to models/sgg/starwars/battledroid_commander.mdl

  4. Have one game master become a Dark Acolyte

    1. Give him a lightsaber and set his HP to 1000

    2. Model him to models/nate159/req/swtfu/sith_acolyte.mdl

  5. Have one game master become a Sith ghost

    1. Model him to models/grealms/characters/revan/revan.mdl

    2. Set his HP to 10000 and give him a lightsaber

  6. Enable notarget for all 3 game masters

  7. There is a lander above a circular canyon that will spawn droids

  8. Have the clones form lines by battalion

  9. Stage 1: the Hunt for the Tomb

    1. In this stage, the clones will split up into two groups that will take both paths to look for the tomb

    2. The clones who take the path to the right of spawn will meet CIS forces first

    3. They will fight their way through, with droids spawned until they destroy the landing craft

    4. Once the parties meet, they will continue searching, splitting again

    5. The tomb is the cave past a field

  10. Stage 2: The Tomb

    1. Once they enter the tomb, the Sith ghost will appear, and attack them

    2. Albino Deathclaws with a mixture of T-21s and fists will appear

      1. These represent other, lesser ghosts

    3. The Dark Acolyte will then attack and try to avoid the ghost and the clones

    4. Once the Sith ghost is defeated, the cave will begin to “collapse”

      1. Do so by spawning small rock props and deleting them after they hit the floor

      2. Once all clones leave, block the entrance with stones

    5. The Dark Acolyte will then attempt to kill the clones, deciding that they have fulfilled their purpose, leading him to the tomb

    6. Once he is defeated, the clones will return to spawn

  11. All clones then board LAATs and switch the map back to venator

At the debrief: The admiral will congratulate the clones for stopping the CIS from using the dark side powers of the tomb for their advantage.  He will state that it appeared that the CIS tracked the Republic’s dropships and followed them to the tomb.  He will then ask the commanders if they wish to recommend anybody for promotions/demotions or hand them out themselves.

 

Jabba’s Son

 

Event Backstory: 

Asajj Ventress and droids have kidnapped Jabba’s son. The Republic’s mission is to rescue Jabba’s son and hopefully capture Asajj Ventress. The Republic wants to rescue Jabba’s son because they want to save negotiations with him.

Required Characters: 

  • Jabba

  • Asajj Ventress

  • General Grievous 

 

  1. Get two people to play as Asajj Ventress and Jabba’s Son (Jabba’s son will be the Jabba model and scaled down in size) 

    1. Jedi Generals will be allowed to participate. 

  2. Get everybody to debrief and tell them their mission

    1. While they are in debrief the gamemasters can have time to spawn LAATs

      1. Make sure to inform players to line up after map switch. 

    2. Get the clones to sit in the LAATs

  3. Change map to rp_kashyyyk_Jungle

  4. With the players lined up make they are all clear on their first few steps into saving jabba’s son

    1. gamemasters will spawn droids with low health and e-11 and get the characters in their jobs while they do that

    2. Put Jabba’s son in the cave surrounded by droids with 600hp and dlts and Asajj Ventress with a lightsaber Inside

  5. Get the clones to fight their way into the cave

    1. The clones will manage to rescue Jabba’s son and capture Asajj Ventress

      1. Spawn Laats

      2. Get clones inside the Laats

  6. Change map back to venator

  7. Get the clones to debrief with Jabba’s Son and Asajj

    1. Get 3 characters to Play as Jabba the Hutt, a translator droid, and a bounty hunter guard (will be a mandalorian medic). 

    2. Get Jabba the Hutt to claim his son and for him to say that they are at peace (the droid will translate what he is saying)

    3. *Hutts Leave the venator*

  8. Take Asajj Ventress to Research lab for her to be questioned

  9. General Grievous and his droid army raid the venator

    1. Sound the alarm

    2. Get “command” to say that General Grievous have boarded

    3. Get the clones to defend as much as they can

  10. General Grievous manages to rescue Asajj Ventress

  11. General Grievous manage to steal a republic ship

  12. Get the clones back to debrief and tell them the good news and bad news

    1. See if commanders have any promotions or demotions

    2.  

      OPERATION: Malevolence

      Requirements

    3. 5 Game Makers

    4. High amount of players preferred 

    5. Plot : The Troops are responding to a med frigate distress signal, they are being transported on a Venator. As they exit hyperspace they scan the planets surroundings, only to find the Malevolence cresting in front of the planet. Before they can do anything the Ion Cannon is shot at Venator, Completely rendering it useless.  The Venators start to fail and all Troops are sent to escape pods. The escape pods are launched, Droids go Though The escape pods trying to cut down the troops inside. The troops must fend off the Droids until there escape pods until they get power back and head to the planet to find a village. Once there they have to find a comms unit that works and call for help while still defending off droids.

    6. Get a navy to give the mission to, so they can give Debrief

    7. Have all Battalion leads informed of the original mission of the Med cruiser

    8.            5. Debrief

    9. Let the navy do DB the way they want, they can do as they please

    10.                         b.  Commence Briefing of the Troops for the rescue of the Med cruiser

                    c.  Load the LAATs and change the map to the Venator

            2.  Once Loaded in Launch Hiperspace the distress signal

                      a. As soon as you are out of hyperspace, commence scan of the space around the planet.

            b. Scan will take 2 minutes 

              3. As soon as Scott  is done Spawn in the Malevolence

                        a. Navy says “Unidentified ship in front of the planet.

                            b. Navy will say “wait what’s it doing, it’s firing somthing” 

      Navy then will Turn on the alarm and say “We’ve been hit, everything is shutting down. What’s happening, all personnel to the escape pods in starboard hanger”

                             i. All Troops will head to the escape pods

                                 c. Once all troops are in there escape pods launch them

                4. Have the other GMs catch the pods as they fly out to a good distance 

                           a. Have 4 ECs modeled as models/b1_firefighter/pm_droid_b1_firefighter.mdl

                           b. They will go around rping breaking open the pods, and will fight the troopers in the pods/ while the troops in the pods try to fight to turn there power back on to escape

      C. have droid npcs fighting other pods so everyone is doing things

      D. eventually the troops will get there power back on

      E. they will get to the planet, new objective is finding a way to get in touch with the Republic to get a rescue 

      F. They will fight through the planet killing a Tactical droid and if they take its head they will get more information on the malevolence

      G. they reach the republic and fight off the counter attack of the CIS eventually successfully being rescued.

    11.  

      Revenge of Darth Marr 

       

      Requirements: 2 Gamemakers

       

    12. Open the Main Hangar and spawn LAATs 

      1. Also personal ships for Jedi Generals

    13. Have a Gamemaker take the role in Admiral 

      1. Will change their name to Admiral 

      2. Will be modeled to Marr

    14. Have another Game Maker take the role as Command

      1. Will change name to Command

      2. Will be cloaked the whole time

    15. Call all the troops to debrief

      1. Get everybody lined up

      2. Briefing/Mission: We have recently been Contacted by an unknown mystic in the unknown regions and we are going to check it out

      3. Select pilots to pilot the LAATs

      4. See if there is any questions

      5. Dismiss to the LAATs in the main hangar

    16. Get all the troops and the Jedi in their ships.

    17. Have the pilots take off

    18. Change map to a marshy map

    19. Get Gamemaker to block spawn

    20. Get all troops lined up

      1. Gamemakers will set NPCs to Geo Droids with DLT-19s

      2. Gamemakers will spawn LAATs

    21. Get the troops to board the LAATs

      1. Get the pilots to pilot the LAATs and go directly down

    22. Spawn Sith droids leading to a camp

      1. Clones will fight the trail of droids leading to the camp

    23. Clones will infiltrate the droid camp swarming with droids.

      1. While this happens, the Gamemakers will get the next part ready

    24. Once the droid camp is clear, Darth Marr’s force Ghost well appear

      1. The clones will be deal with any remaining sith droids and the Jedi well talk with Darth Marr or attempt to attack and it not work Darth Marr

    25. Once all the Droids are taken Care of a perimeter will be made and the Jedi will continue working with the force ghost

    26. Get an LAAT to land and Guard the entrance to the Camp

    27. Depending on if the Jedi chose to help or not it will change the event path

    28. If choose to help they will help Marr is taken ing revenge

    29. If not they will send him back to his tomb while dealing with more droids 

      1. Head back to the ship 

      2. Map change

      3. DB

      4. And dismiss 

      5.  

        Pre Vizsla’s Contact:

         

        Requirements:

      6. 2 Gamemakers

      7. 3 Helpful Players (preferably staff)

      8. 30+ player count

      9. Select a Gamemaker To be Admiral Wulff

        1. Model the gamemaker chosen to models/player/wullf/wullf.mdl

      10. Open Moonpool

      11. Spawn 2 laats and jedi Personal ships (change colors and bodygroup is an option)

        1. Pick 2 pilots and give the Jedi their personal ship

          1. If there are no pilots on pick 2 trustworthy commanders

      12. Use the voice amplifier to call a briefing (Pathway:voice_amplifier)

        1. Say “All troops report to debrief  I repeat all troops report to debrief “

      13. Do a Briefing (PTS ECT.)

        1. Brief: “We have intel on a Sith Lord that is currently unidentified. We have knowledge that he has been in contact with the Pre Vizsla. Our mission is to go to Geonosis and find and capture the Sith Lord for questioning. While you're out there, hack their consoles for any leads on the missing Youngling. .Remember, bring him back alive as he may have some leads to find Pre Vizsla so we can retrieve the youngling. Why’re you still here? Go, go, go!”

      14. Dismiss Briefing

      15. Get in a laat

      16. Change map to Geonosis

      17. Block off spawn

      18. Spawn 3 barc speeders in front of the barrier of spawn

      19. Spawn 2 STAP speeders in the hangar

      20. Bring the Helpers

        1. Have one change their name to Sith Lord

          1. Model the Sith to models/nate159/req/swtfu/sith_acolyte.mdl 

          2. Give the Sith a Saber (Pathway: weapon_lightsaber)

        2. Have the 2 other helper change their name to Battledroid

          1. Model the Battledroids to+

        3. Have a Game maker change their name to Command

        4. Remodel Admiral Wulff

        5. Move the Helpers to the required locations and tell them what they are doing

        6. 1 helper will be on a STAP speeder

        7. The other helper will be in the hangar about to leave the planet

        8. Block the Hangar door to the sith

      21. Spawn Geonosis Battledroids with the RT-97C (Pathway: weapon_752bf3_rt97c)

      22. Get Admiral Wulff to Get The players lined up and go over the brief broken down

        1. Choose a battalion to take the speeders make sure it is lore friendly

      23. Remove props when ready

      24. Lead the troops to the first base

      25. Spawn a dropship and keep spawning droids until they destroy it

      26. Once inside the base Admiral Wulff will hack into the console and say got it

      27. After that they will push their way to the 2nd base

        1. Game maker will remove the prop blocking the door

      28. Once they reach the 2nd base the sith will fight the clones once he hits 1000 hp he will surrender and a gamemaker will spawn 2 laats for evac near spawn and command will advert all troops to evac near home base

      29. Once in evac and laats take off switch map to rp_venator_tr

      30. Remodel Admiral Wulff

      31. Have another Game maker Remodel sith and move him to the Cell

      32. Use voice amplifier to call debrief (pts is active)

        1. Debrief “I have good news and bad news the good news is we have the Sith in our custody thanks to you guys he is currently waiting in his cell for questioning the bad news is the deathwatch are creating a Superweapon that can shoot you while traveling through hyperspace we believe the youngling and the weapon are connected in some way”

I like the idea of some of these event even though the modeling would probably change slightly to fit better with how they are run, and you have plenty of experience GM'in both on this server and others. Also in game you generally seem to just be a great person to talk to through all of the interactions that we have had. So over all +1

You're too ambiguous in your answers to the first part of the application. You don't give a determinant amount of time for both your "Playtime" on the server and how much time you want to dedicate. You're repetitive in your reason for why you should be chosen, mostly in your experience which I think you rely too much on for your reasons. You seem quite arrogant in that aspect of being an experienced GM; many people are already aware of your previous experience, yet it feels as though you're pushing your experience to be the core aspect of your application. 

 

I don't care that you copied and pasted the events from a google doc (if they're yours, they're yours and I'd probably do the same), but try to remove the numbers at the left side or fix them (they're inconsistent for what they mean, and it shows that it was copied from a doc without much effort in adjusting/cleaning up for the application). 

I like the event timeline, it does make things simple as being a GM and creates a good checklist to follow. However, in my opinion, there's almost too much detail. Not in the sense of being overloaded with information, but in the events being too dependent on players making specific actions or requiring navy to read a script, it feels really robotic and gray. But, to each their own, and that's why this little paragraph does not effect my overall score.
I do like the event ideas also, they still fit within the nature of star wars, yet they still show a unique story created by yourself.

Finally, spelling and writing. You're a GM, and you're almost constantly going to be typing both events and stories out to the players. I'm not going to point out every spelling mistake or run-on sentence, because that's a waste of both of our time and I don't want to be a douche about it, but it is genuinely something that most people need to keep their A-game on (especially if their role is revolved around storytelling). I too of course make my own spelling mistakes, but I fix them when I can myself.

Gotten to speak to the guy recently and generally think he has trustworthy character; event ideas are maybe a bit too specific but I think it's a lot easier to take specific details and make more flexible plans around it than having an insufficiently planned event. Formatting could be better but it's still workable insofar as being understood and the worst of it are internal documents (like event plans) that don't need to look as nice.
