Why should we choose you over other applicants?: 

 

I was a Senior Moderator back in 2020, so I know quite a bit about the community, the staff processes, and the rules in place.  While I know that much has changed in terms of the staff guides, rules, and what-not I have read them and I fully understand them.  I have dealt with a variety of player interactions, ensuring the enforcement of rules and ensuring fairness so that everyone has a good experience on the server, because that’s what this is all about.

 

More importantly, I truly do care about the community and the server.  I’m not applying because I want a cool nametag that says “staff”.  I’m applying because I want to help maintain a friendly and safe environment for the community that I love.  I love dealing with sits, guiding new players, and honestly just simply being a welcoming and active member.  I trust that I can be a dependable member of the staff team right away with only a small amount of time to get used to the position again.

Have you ever been banned or punished on any server? If so, Include details:  Yes, I have two previous bans from this server (4-5+ years old).  One was for "Mass RDM - AOS doesn't = KOS" on January 27th, 2020.  I was new to Garry's Mod and had never played before (nor did I know pretty much anything about it) and thought AOS and KOS were the same thing.  Another was "Harassment to players (discord + forums) which is not acceptable as staff. | Very short ban" on July 6th, 2021.  This was when I had an argument with a community member over Discord that bled into the forums.  I have no other bans from any other servers that I know of outside of my friend's and I messing around on our own private games.  I do hope that this will be taken into account as I have changed a lot since then; going from a high schooler during the Covid Lockdowns with unlimited free-time to a fully functioning adult.

Have you made any previous applications, If so when?:  No, I was initially a VIP Moderator when I first joined the staff team here.

How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: A lot, I generally have a good amount of free time after work and on my off days.

If you have any, what hobbies or activities are you involved in outside of Garry's Mod?: I go to the shooting range a lot, like an uncomfortable level of a lot.  I also go fishing and hunting all the time.

While that harassment ban happened 4 years ago, it still taints your reputation due to your limited recent activity, not enough to dismiss this app, but I'd suggest you become acquainted with the community and engage more both in-game and on the forums. You should spend at least a few more weeks on the server before applying again to show the community you're fit for the role.

I would like to see more in your paragraphs section; particularly highlighting your growth throughout the time you've been away.

You meet the age requirements, and you do have previous experience but I've never had a single interaction with you and that puts a lot of doubt in my mind because I have no idea what sort of personality you have nor do I know if you have the right maturity level for this. So I'd recommend being apart of the community more and make a name for yourself within it because so fair not a lot of people know who you are.
