I was reported for mass RDM. Before the raid, I was playing as a hobo and switched to the thief class because I wanted to raid a base. I used the F4 menu to change jobs, grabbed my perks, adverted properly, and started the raid. For some reason, my job didn’t fully update. I did have the lockpick and keypad cracker in my inventory, but they wouldn’t work. To me, it was clearly a bug.

 

I explained this to Astolfo, and we went back and forth for about six minutes before I ended up disconnecting. This wasn’t intentional—it’s been happening a lot lately, usually every three hours, but only on Garnet Gaming servers. After I dropped, I immediately messaged on Discord to let them know I wasn’t LTAP’ing and was trying to rejoin. It usually takes three or four minutes before the server even shows back online for me. Neither Astolfo nor Gunner responded in Discord, so I reached out to Orion just to get unbanned long enough to continue the conversation and show Astolfo my clips.

 

Astolfo kept saying he didn’t have enough proof that I actually changed jobs. But I think what I had was more than enough to show I did everything right—I switched jobs, my job name updated, I had the thief tools, but the bug kept me stuck with the hobo skin.

 

Originally, Gunner was handling the report. He didn’t want to talk about it or look at clips, and it felt like he just intended to warn/ ban me on the spot. That’s why I asked Astolfo to step in. I feel like the whole thing wasn’t handled fairly or by the book.

 

What I don’t get is why people keep saying I just changed my name in chat instead of actually changing jobs. That makes no sense—there’s no reason for me to do that, and it wouldn’t benefit me in any way. My F10 logs back me up, showing I changed my job, got perks, adverted, and raided.

 

• I did change jobs through the F4 menu.

• I had thief tools in my inventory, but a bug made them unusable.

• My disconnect was unintentional and part of a recurring server issue.

• I immediately explained in Discord and tried to rejoin.

• I showed clips, but they were dismissed.

• The report wasn’t handled professionally, and my evidence wasn’t fairly considered.

 

All I’m asking is for this situation to be reconsidered, because I was following the rules and the problem came down to a bug and some miscommunication.

Ight ill update this later with the full sit clips but you 

1. Never showed a clip of you changing classes that would have resolved all of this

2. Never provided legitimate proof of you switching classes

3. Job logs had no record of you changing classes even if your skin bugged out it would have still appeared in logs 

4. I was kind enough to take your word and simply give you a one week ban I don’t appreciate being marked as a villain after providing you a shorter sentence that It could have been

After reviewing the situation, we are willing to consider this as unintentional mass RDM, assuming a glitch did occur.

We will also remove the LTAP portion of the ban due to the clear evidence of a connection issue during the sit. However, regarding the claim that you did not switch jobs manually:

There just isn't sufficient evidence to confirm that you navigated the F4 menu and selected the Thief job. Since it’s possible to change jobs using a simple chat command (/job Thief) and then take a screenshot/video of the logs, this alone isn’t proof.

If you had provided a clip clearly showing the job change through the F4 menu, we would have likely accepted the appeal. But without that, we are going to be treating this as unintentional mass RDM, with no LTAP
