Like party said, rust was a great staff member and carried rangers while having a huge task being T-Admin. And she did it amazingly. Cool to see you cleared up your IRL issues and came back to the community.

That was because you lied as a Col and GM over something I thought we were just having fun with. I even cleared things up with other players to be sure we were all cool again because you didn’t want to message me after being called out for lying. Not cool man.

let me talk about her since i probably know her best after ozzy.

when me and rust got T.Admin (aware im jumping ahead but forgive me for not remembering before that it was 9 months ago) jake gave both of us the responsibility of being GMs and be in charge of  RP on the server in general, it was some rough times ozzy got nuked tora left and whiskey was well whiskey. there was very little staff members on the team and both me and her needed to put a lot of effort into the server to keep it alive, since it was me and her and some Mods at the time and 1 GM (Jake) and she put a lot of effort at the time that alone should get this accepted but since you guys weren't here im here to tell you. 

not lets jump to today, rust has been on and off for some time because of irl issues that she needed to sort out. and now that i believe she did its a great time to welcome her back, she is a trusted member and she have my support any time she needs it. lead rangers in a perfect way and helped me a lot along the way, if the only reason you want to deny that because of her pfp your brain doesnt work that well.... that pfp is here since she got on the forums m8 so chill out and look at the actual player thank you!

As a faction leader and GM that’s totally something wrong for you to do. I was not expecting you to lie like that to make me look and seem stupid, and in TS you still tried to cover yourself up for lying. And yes, it is about something so little, but to lie and make me look like a moron to others by telling them lies aint cool man. You just didn’t know me well and thought you could gotten away with it. I ain’t like that at all. I still messaged you in DMs after that, wanting to clear things up with you because I’ve always been a neutral person with everyone and i hate issues. So i was willing to forgive you for that and move on & even wanted to join your faction. Regardless of your pfp or not (which in my case i've had close experiences that weren't that good and your pfp is concerning at least for me ) I didn't -1 because of that. You have your own belief but as long as that doesn't interfere with me directly, or the business (ie, your staff position and the server health) it's all good.

 

Reason why I did -1 is activity and your statements on the post itself. I myself am one of the very few people that come first in the server, and last ones to leave and to be really honest rust, I haven't seen your activity as you indicate. I'm familiar with you and  you recently came off reserves but that's pretty much it. I have no doubt in my mind you have great intentions but I should focus first on your faction before already hopping to the staff team. If activity improves then could be a +1, just too soon to dictate a staff position imo. Other than that I haven't had interactions with you good or bad but you were past staff member that wanted back so you could bring good ideas to the staff team.

Just want to point something out, no hate towards anyone. I’ve been on almost every day for a couple weeks now , and i know people are in different timezones, but almost everyone that is telling me about my activity is players that I personally haven’t seen on the server in a while. Might just be how the work / school schedule is going though.

Even thought personally I don’t like the flag/pfp or side with it politically I don’t think it’s gonna affect Rusts ability as staff.  It’s just like a picture. I haven’t seen Rust going around and promoting the meaning of that flag

i will say this if we base our own biases on these staff apps based off PFP theres a lot of ppl that would never make it into staff at all and stuff like that should be handled personally or if your personal bias will affect your decision making skills then its best to leave things be (P.S not targeting anyone im just saying from being staff for a long time and i tell my rust mods the same thing)

The only concern for me that could have resulted in me not giving this post a +1 would be activity, and from the past couple of weeks/months its clear that they're back and ready to take responsibility beyond themselves. Of course, activity is something that everyone can improve, including Rust, but I've had no negative interactions with them so far. Seeing as they were staff in the past and the intentions seem genuine, I'm on board. Good luck!

Just for reference, when I started playing again, you were in Ozzy's DF but never played. Not saying thats a reason to not support you as staff, but i'm referencing that as the LAST time I knew you were actively playing the server. I hate the "wahwah haven't interacted with RU enough" responses, but what i'm saying is, you haven't been back LONG enough to be back on the time. You JUST came off reserves for rangers Rust, use that rank to prove you're gonna be actively playing again. Once you're back in the server and playing I think you'd be great on the staff team! 

I just don't think it's fair for people on the team to support this application when you only just came off of reserves. It's like if I ( or anyone else ) got my reserves in SSO and then decided to apply the next day/week. Prove you'll be playing again and i'll happily support you!

I did play in Ozzy’s DF but it just wasn’t as much. But I do think i’m a trustworthy enough player to decide on whether or not it’s time for me to come back. How do you plan on benefiting our server? I just plan on doing what I did previously for the server. I enjoy helping people and being there for the community. I've always had strong leadership qualities and love to inspire others to want to lead on the server as well. A lot of guys treat enlisted like trash and that really sucks because they are the base of the server. I don't mind helping out enlisted just as much as anyone else on the server. I've always treated people with respect and always stay neutral in all situations I come across regardless of someone being a friend of mine or not. I know the rules well and am always willing to help people with sims / tryouts when they need someone to TP players over.  I've always wanted the best for the server and still do and continue to be a helpful and fun player in the community.

I'm coming back to staffing as before I got pretty busy with work and life in general but it's starting to settle in now and I feel I'm able to fulfill the duties of being staff again. I left on good terms as a faction and staff member. I plan on being here to help new staff members and players with learning the server and game as well as going as far as helping them 1 on 1. When you treat new guys with respect and help them out, they remember that, because that's the first thing they've went through on the server. That's why the first impression you make on new players is important, as any role on the server. A lot of officers and players still lack professionalism and even some staff, which I'd love to help out with like before. During war, sometimes a certain side doesn't have enough members to balance the teams, which when that happens I'm always willing to help out and switch to whatever side is necessary to make war fun for everyone. I'm a trustworthy member of the community and would love to help out again.
 

Sometimes in the mornings I have time on my hands to hop on the server when the player count isn't very high. I take that time to work with the couple guys that are on by doing sims and maybe even tryouts for them if its needed. That keeps them on the server and as time goes on more players join. A lot of guys don't do anything with lower enlisted which in the morning makes them leave because there is nothing to do. So by me doing that it helps the server pop rise a little faster than how it's going right now. I've always been loyal and committed to this server and am ready to help out again. I treat everyone with respect and all of you guys have returned that to me which is why I love working with you guys on helping the community.

Sup brother, I do remember dealing with this situation last night. A bunch of guys were trolling on RU. Is there any way you remember the in game name you chose? I see no problem with shortening this to a Non Mal ban instead of the 2 Week MRDM ban being that I did show up to the area that mess was taking place and dealt with it further so it would stop. There were a ton of trolls on US and RU side and I was the only staff member dealing with the server. Gets crazy at times. I'm glad you see where you went wrong with the vigilantism, which is why I'm fine with it just being a Non Mal ban. At times like that, do your best to stay out of trying to deal with the situations on your own. It's my fault for not looking further into the situation as there was a lot going on. I hope we both can look at this as a learning experience. Thanks for making the appeal and bringing it to our attention.
