I’ve grown attached to so many players and I’ve really invested a lot of time just to be here and hang out with everyone. I don’t care too much for the basing or printers and that allows me to spend my time coming up with more original ways to enjoy the game such as my grenade toss corner game, my singing performances, and this upcoming concert. Orchestrating the event has really pushed me to want to be more involved than I already am.
I apologize if this paragraph doesn’t really pertain to the application process too much but I’ve seen this server as sort of this giant social experiment. An entire virtual city ran completely by players. Just watching the chaos and roleplaying has been SO interesting to me. To see the things that people will do in a world where the consequences are virtually little to none. Strangely, I actually admire the chaos, I can be sensitive at times and the mayhem really humbles me and allows me to work on a social aspect of myself. It’s really all so surreal sometimes.
I really want to give to the players. I want to introduce something interesting every time I’m online. Games, events, I’ll even leave little Easter eggs in the game for players to stumble upon while I’m afk like the mayor’s vault filled with fake printers and a congratulations sign, a text screen left underwater in the corner of the beach mentioning to PM me for a reward, or just a cute little statue hidden in the sewers. I strongly believe that putting in the game will give a lot back and it’s been absolutely true. I think people recognize that I just want everyone to have fun and play the game properly.
unfortunately I don’t believe in biases, and that includes myself. I do have some concerns if I am to be accepted as staff but I know with training I can make sure I do the absolute best job possible. I’ve worried about handling my friends if they were to make mistakes but I also believe that the system put in place for moderators require proof and facts to back up a moderators decisions. I’ve debated wether I should apply or not but after an experience in the server where there was no moderation for 3-4 hours I was able to screenshot a lot of problems and immediately report those offenders. During a chaotic moment in the server I was able to provide a safe place for players to hide out while the spawn area was prop blocked and became essentially an arena death match zone. Those offenders were reported and banned. I don’t want this paragraph to be my undoing within this application, I simply want to announce that I take this role seriously and hopefully show my integrity. So much so that I’m even willing to question myself.
I hope that the people will be on my side and agree with me that I could be an excellent addition to the server staff and I’d really love to enforce the rules in a proper manner. To anyone reading this and considering I may be a good fit, I really hope I can live up to any expectations you may have. I really only want what’s best for the players. I attend some of the largest events in America as a verified vendor and I also co-TO (tournament organizer) in the worlds largest Smash Brothers regions.
