The members of Delta Squad were instructed by Training Sergeant Walon Vau. For him, the clones could only obtain the aggressiveness and efficiency they would need in combat by being raised in an extremely harsh manner under difficult conditions. As with all commandos, the human factor of the commandos was revealed quite quickly in its members,  wich led to the development of a unique individuality in each of them

Walon Vau was a tough and violent instructor with his clones showing very little emotion towards them, however seeing that the commandos had nothing else but the republic  and that their instructor was their main point of contact, Walon Vau gradually became attached to them showing a little compassion for them outside of training. During their training, Walon Vau developed a strong relationship with the members of  Delta Squad, and he even named his clones personally.

Delta Squad first mission, like many other clones at the beginning of the war, was "The Battle of Geonosis", a mission that was designed for infantry, which resulted in the loss of many commando squads. The Delta Squad did not have to suffer from this kind of problem, as their objective was to eliminate a Geonosian Lieutenant, which they accomplished quite easily thanks to "Sev" marksmanship.

Later, after another squad failed, Delta Squad was given a new mission by their clone advisor. The separatists were trying to escape their battle zone, so they had to find the codes that would stop their enemy's escape. They made their way into a spherical combat station of the CIS that had not yet taken off and succeeded once again in their mission, without any losses.

One year later, after many changes such as their integration into the 05 Commando Batallion wich they were put under the service of training Sergeant Kal Skirata,  Jedi Generals Bardan Jusik and later  Etain Tur-Mukan ,Delta Squad was assigned to a new mission wich was to infiltrate a Republic Acclamator cruiser (Delta Squad Home) that was no longer showing any signs of life. Once inside, they found the ship to be under the control of Trandoshan warriors, the commandos were vastly outnumbered, but managed to hold out until the "Arrestor", another Acclamator, came to their rescue and defeated the Separatist droids and their new Trandoshans allies.

In the days following this mission, Delta Squad commandos were called in to assist Omega Squad, who were trapped by the Separatists, and after a fierce battle they discovered that a terrorist cell was operating on Coruscant. With the help of Jedi Etain Tur Mukan, the two squads managed to dismantle the cell. Despite a few exchanges between the two squads, some of the members of the squad became closer, as was the case with Sev and Fi Skirata.

[Later by the end of the Clone Wars]

The last known mission of Delta Squad was on Kashyyyk where they were sent on a mission by their advisor to rescue the wookie leader "Tarfful" who had been captured by Trandoshans, the mission almost completed, a CIS ship appeared above them, unable to leave the wookies alone to face this new enemy each member of the squad took possession of a combat turret to weaken the enemy ship, once this was done they were ordered to withdraw from the planet, But at the same time, Sev sended a distress signal, and the other three commandos in the squad decided to rescue him no matter what, but their advisor ordered them to leave the planet imediatly, saddened by the loss of a brother. Delta Squad still received support from Jedi General Yoda, who explained to them that the mission they had just accomplished was vital to the Republic and their Wookie allies.

The sad end of Delta Squad came when Order 66 was announced, and the squad members, like all the other clones, followed the order and eventually served as Imperial Commandos during the Imperial era alongside Squad 40, the former Omega Squad. Still saddened by Sev disappearance, the squad vowed that one day when it was all over, they would go out and find him. The fate of Delta Squad after the Empire's defeat on Jakku is unknown.

Delta Squad Members

RC-1138

Known as 38 or Boss , he is the undisputed leader of Delta Squad, and is considered the best strategist of the group he has a great spirit of fraternity with the other members of the squad and always counts on their safety, he is in some way the big brother within the squad

RC-1140

Also called fixer, he is the right hand of Boss and is considered the best hacker of the squad. He is so good at hacking that Walon Vau had to remove the Squad bunks' network console to prevent him from hacking into Kamino's entire computer system. He is a commando who goes by the book and has a more serious and tenacious profile than his two other brothers (Scorch and Sev), and he calls them by their two digit numbers and not their nicknames.

RC-1207

The most agile and gifted member of the group with a sniper, also nicknamed Sev in reference to his two last digit numbers ''07'', this one showed a real pleasure with accomplishing his tasks, a pleasure that takes after his instructor Walon Vau who taught him to never let go of an objective and with whom he had a very good relationship. He has a deep and menacing growl of voice , as well as a grim and sadistic sense of humor where he often jokes with “Scorch” before and during missions, this leads to a unique bond within the squad.

RC-1269

The explosives expert of the squad, also nicknamed Scorch after having caused an explosion during his training with Walon Vau that burned some parts of his face and unlike all the other clones, Scorch has an incredible sense of humor that never fails to infuriate his brothers.

Note: Walon Vau was a Mandalorian Trainer who passed on his culture to Delta Squad members. The Commandos of the squad are fluent in Mando'a, and also picked up several Mandalorian war chants such as the well known "Vode An" which means "Brothers all".
