  1. Genuinely crazy how much people get emotionally involved over a ban in a video game by a !!GAY!! dude lmao... AJ's entire crew having a meltdown in their discord server for the past week fr made me depressed. You'd think a dude in his mid 20s and his little butt buddies would have sorted out the homophobic tendencies by now...

@IAreGunnerWhile that may be true that if it isn't your career or life's work you shouldn't let it affect you, you also have to understand that this world is an escape of the real world for some people. Life isn't rainbows and unicorns for everyone, and some people do envy the real life they live. And no, not everyone can magically change their life situation, so I believe that while trying to ignore the negativity and move on does help a little bit, its not as easy for some people who find closure in the communities they find out there.

It would be nice if people weren't assholes, but for those of you who can see past the curtains for what everything is good for you then I guess.

@HtmlRooti always agreed thats its a escape, i preached that. but if its more for someone and its clearly making them feel like shit because people attack them for who you are, then maybe they gotta find a way to prevent that instead of taking punches and punches. Like i said, its a cruel online world.

@IAreGunnerI can agree with all you've just said and I think that its just difficult for people to hash out some of the preventative measures. However, I do think that's what needs to happen. If everyone is on the same page, that's another story.

  2. Man, I log back in after a while to see the man himself that made SWRP the greatest has returned, I may need to hop back on the 501st SWRP grind... Can't wait to see my beloved 501st First Squad back
  3. Everyone's got to move on eventually, good luck proggy <3.
  4. @Ziggy (doin this because no one else has) I personally feel like this ban wasn't entirely proportional to the wrong he committed way back whenever it was (i'm not good with dates). Not to mention the extended history Conway has in regards to community contributions for MRP and SWRP, and how he could influence the current state of the communities would prove beneficial. I admit though, I don't know the story behind why he was banned but I 100% vouch for his potential future contributions. +1 o7 brother.

    Python's GM app

Was excellent to play with on SWRP during events from what I remember around when he was active, and if memory serves correctly, his events were well coordinated, had good flexibility and were just generally engaging. +1 to the scale skinned basement dweller ?!?!?!
  6. You are right, I did not expect you to write out regurgitated points, that was my fault for not investigating. However there is still merit in exploring previously explored suggestions, probably not in this case though, as I didn't realize how often it had been suggested. The suggestion for the CS changes to be implemented to GMOD was stupid. Raiding pvp is less about the weapon balance (excluding raiding tools) and more about base design skill, so its not really a good test for deciding whether or not is effective. Also i forgot that the in game store was a thing, that definitely does aid lower level players. I didnt really consider the situations that the dlore would be used in, but looking on it now the dlore is fine as it is. Previously i thought that it'd be a benefit more than the the harm caused by nerfing dono's, but realizing that the situations in which the Dlore is used are limited, it isnt worth it. All in all, it is clear to me after reading your points that the Dlore is probably not the thing that should be adjusted for balance (im switching to -1) For all people still scrolling through this, if you take anything away from this suggestion, this'd be it.
  7. But there would still be an effect that would benefit the newer players no? The purpose of my +1 is to bring up the fact that lower level players are kind of helpless if they do not have the means to counteract the extensive loadout and mobile armoury that higher level players mostly have. This means that if we nerf a gun mostly higher levelled players have, they will have more of a chance. If a player is actually good at the game then that is of no fault of balancing. I understand what you mean though, it would be a quite annoying and redundant nerf for players who are naturally less skilled but i guess its an incentive to get good.
  8. So what exactly are the arguments against this aside from "I want my 10 shot, almost guaranteed death, boomstick", "CSGO =/ GMOD", and "Another nerf Dlore post"? AW50 could potentially be a matchup alternative for non-dono's, but I've never used it, and donators also have a plethora of alternatives. The active donators also happen to comprise the DarkRP 1%, in other words they have the most cash out of all players, meaning that they can exchange it In game for credits, unbox whatever powerful weapon (DB, RPG, Dlore, etc), and buy whatever guns they want from dealers (if they are that desperate). However, lower levelled players just starting out or even mid level players do not usually have access to these weapons unless they spend the money to buy them (which is unreasonable to expect), meaning they have less of a chance to win, or farm printers, or raid, or mug. For whoever cant piece it together, high level players have an overwhelming advantage over pretty much everyone else, and removing 5 bullets from the clip of an almost guaranteed 1 shot machine isn't much in comparison. As for high level combat between players with full perks and loadout of weapons, the dlore does play a pretty big role, but then again, you just have to hit your shots, or switch to the DB, or Stryker, or FG, or anything else. +1, I am willing to change my mind if anyone can actually make an argument against it however, as I have been inactive in recent time and im not sure of most things I knew of back then. And also, maybe the reason it gets suggested regularly is because people think there IS an issue, and by dismissing it as "another nerf dlore post" there is no hope for any actual discussion. EDIT: Dear lord there are so many denials of a Dlore nerf, i was not aware. -1.
  9. +1, i loooooooove feet.
  10. If were talking about roleplay experiences, I believe we should just fix the slingshot exploit. No one in a realistic scenario would be flying across a city at fighter jet speeds anyway. But if that is not an option, I say that giving CPs a way to catch them (Climb swep or other) would be the next step. Also it would put donators (most people who use the swep) on a more level playing field when it comes to CP vs Donator. Being a donator in my eyes should not be pay to win.
  11. Even having a toxic player as the "#1 DRP Garnet Player" on the leaderboard would still promote other players to pass them because they're annoying. Also I do not think that adding a leaderboard to DRP (which has an inherently toxic community) would change it by a noticeable amount toxicity wise. All in all, leaderboard is cool, it will give players motivation to do the 'small stuff' aside from prestige and mindlessly sitting in their bases. +1 These are not immediate issues. When you go onto the internet you should expect people to be weird and flex fake money and fake guns that don't actually exist. Just ignore it, it does not have an impact on your gameplay if you don't feed into it.

    Clan System

Several issues with this idea such as giving the clans too much attention and making the solo or small group players feel less inclined to grind when they will have to face these clans, clans may become too big and dominate the server, if the set up fee is 10 mil it will discourage newer players from making their own clans to counter the others and encourage them to join and strengthen already established clans. Now it would be cool to see clan competitions and GMs could set up games and arenas and dish out points to the clan with the best performance (or something along those lines). Clans the way they are now (just in the rp name) is better than good, because you can achieve all of what you're asking. If a clan really wanted to know who they have in their org, then they can just make a spreadsheet, or a GM who is in a clan can do these competitions you mentioned. All it really takes to accomplish what your suggesting is just to talk to the other clans and work out a competition (like most raids in an hour or something). -1
