  1. Even though we didn’t know each other for long you were someone I looked forward to spending time with on server, and one of the reasons I went through with coming back, you’re a great guy. Take it easy and good luck on whatever you plan on moving onto in the future.

You join SOC for the people and models, how rangers should act is that they should train the army on how to use the L115 properly making them want to join the faction. Personally you have your priorities and every other ranger that thinks like this has their priorities wrong. Overall you should fix up your priorities this lone suggestion will not kill off the people wanting to join Rangers. Like remake explained I agree with him a lot.

I said that’s one of the reasons, not the only reason, there have been a good number that joined or have tried to join because of the L115, and I never said I’m completely against the idea or anything I was just saying it would be nice if we could get something different as a replacement because going from 11B/A to a T2 faction you generally expect a change or upgrade in equipment, sorry that my suggestion and opinion  offended you it seems. And I know exactly how rangers should act, you don’t need to tell me.

  3. Again I love the idea but like I said on bishops suggestion, if you will be giving the L115 to army then can we find a replacement for rangers, as of right now the L115 is supposed to be one of the reason to join rangers since we are a “recon/long distance/sniper” faction how ever you wanna put it, if you give the L115 to army then you’re taking one of the reasons to join it, I suggested giving rangers the Barret .50 and just make sure the stats are updated, if that’s done then I can support this 100%

  4. As far as I’m aware no one has the barret 50. Anymore so what if we gave army the l115 then changed rangers to the barret but make sure the stats are up to date and not trash/broken

(if there’s a reason it isn’t used anymore then I’m unaware, I just remember that MARSOC used to have it when marines was still in)

  5. I loved everything in you suggestion till I got to the army sharpshooter portion, if you’re able to find a different sniper for army then I’d be all for it but you’re taking one of the things that makes rangers unique and giving it to all of army, or even if you gave the l115 to army and find rangers a viable substitute to give them a reason to join for our sniper then I could get behind it

  7. Although I’m barely coming back to server ima throw a +1, funk has been one of the few guys I’ve talked to since coming back and he’s really cool and friendly, I’d love to see him move up in staff and help the server improve

  8. +1 I used to use demo with the xm1014 and it was a lot more diverse when we had marines with an lmg and army using shotguns, plus base factions have no way of countering 2GA demo with how over powered it is, giving army a shotgun could at least help negate that but just slightly

  9. Rip marsoc and rangers during war, they’ll get TKd hardcore. BUT over all I’m in favor for this change it’ll stop useless nade and RPG spamming especially when there are friendlies in the area making people use communication and awareness over all. Big +1

  10. Hey Im sorry about this I know I just came back recently and I know this is pretty annoying to deal with but as of recently I am having a lot of personal issues and as Im typing this i am having a panic attack do to issues and as of right now Im not fit to be staffing as Ive failed to up hold my duty and dont see me being very active right now sadly Im resigning from staff. I had alot of fun being in the staff team and helping people learn and as of now I see the staff team at a decent place so they dont need me taking up room, as of my activity Ill try and get on when Im feeling okay but the server isnt helping me right now it makes things worse sometimes Ill be as active as I can but again Ill have to see (this is not a resignation from the server, only staff)

RP levels through the roof. I guess the super serious RP aspect of these raids nowadays must be classified even to a Vega Lieutenant.

If you read my whole quote I said CS desert I didn’t say anything about now I doubt there is that much RP even if they say there is all I see from raids is then just trying to get feeds or bait people but nothing really else

last TRUE RP raid I ever saw was when RU would break into US war room in CS and “download data” which was really cool but with these new maps there’s nothing to really do like that

or even for the memes trying to steal the green beans

Hey everyone, shrimps again. I was goofing around with some things today and I had an idea to improve the state of some things around the server.

The concept is simple; Create a staff-accessible menu to that allows them to easily do certain things to create the set-ups for small events on a single-faction level.

In the past, especially with the SWRP server, Garnet explored a few options when it came to running events in the PvE environment, and one of the things implemented was automated events in which droids would repeatedly spawn around a central object that players would have to destroy to stop the invasion. It was simple, didn't require staff, but it got old quick as a server-scale event.

What I'm proposing here is similar, but very different. Instead of having automated events on a timer, staff would be able to conduct these small events at will through the game menu, instead of leaving the responsibility entirely to managers+, as typically they are the only ones with the power to run events. It's to my understanding that currently Admin+ can run events, but don't necessarily have the resources to execute them properly, and most events in recent history have all been attempted at a server wide scale.

Usually, it doesn't work out that well. At that size, players often expect a complex set up with a seamless execution and narrative, and that can be asking for a lot. By dividing up the workload, and issuing out events to separate factions, there's a lot less factors to consider and that should make it easier on all the staff to run good events, thus making the between-war time period a bit more entertaining, by popular demand

As far as the game panel itself goes, a simple UI that gives staff (Maybe Mod+?) the ability to have a few simple tools to work with when setting up an event.  Things like spawning 5 or so hostile NPC's on the staff member,  creating a little payload entity that players have to defuse,  and other scenarios like that. The options that staff are given wont allow staff to make events that are too RP heavy, because those don't usually work out well with this playerbase. This would be a small, easy to expand upon feature that would liven up things outside of war and give staff more opportunities to provide for the playerbase, rather than constantly punishing them. I can't imagine it being super code heavy, and whether or not Garnet wants to or has the time to work on this is up to him, but it's just something I think people would enjoy.

    To give an example of how one of these events would play out on a super basic level;

    >Staff goes to a building in the town, opens the menu, and scatters about a few hostile NPCs.
    >Staff drops a box of ammo in the house.
    >Staff goes on a class, sets their job to NATO CDR or some bullshit.
    >Staff briefs a SOC faction on the situation in the town, and tells them to eliminate the threats and secure the munitions.
    >SOC members form a little task force, plan out their mission, and go do the thing.

Easy peasy, let me know what you think.

Huge +1 I’d love to see small event or even large scale events like this, it’d be a lot of fun and give people something to do here and there, not only that it sounds really fun

  13. I don’t know if this was mentioned but personally the last time I saw any RP aspect in a raid was in CS desert when we kept stealing the green beans or when RU would break into US war room and “download data” and attempt to escape, if there was an actual RP scenario raids would be better and have more of a purpose then just slaughter as many people as you can

-1 to first suggestion, +1 to first suggestion. Altough I haven't played in long this issue was around when I was still playing, people seeing like 3 RU outside of base and dismissing DB to ''defend'' the base. Having DB and Tryouts non-raidable is only good to stay clear of disruptions and allows people to actually have a DB without worrying of the whole room being naded.

I can completely agree with having DBs and tryout non raidable or even just DBs because US is a cluster fuck after war, debriefs last mere seconds because we are so focused on not getting raped as we walk in to debrief or when we are actually trying to talk about war, DBs are always cut short or in a certain manner restrained.
but a big -1 to the first idea because it’s more of a chore to go through that than anything at that point

  15. From all the time I’ve known you you’ve become more mature since awhile back, I’m not going to -1 or +1 do to the fact I still haven’t been very active and been able to spend a lot of time with you recently but I do believe you’ve matured since awhile back but over all I’m neutral
