  1. Hi there Mehdi.fatmi,

You were reported by a player named Tahu for RDM initially, and when speaking to both of you, he clarified that you'd actually killed him twice. He said the first time you just came up to him and shot him with a shotgun and the second time you sniped him out of nowhere. While I checked the logs, your response to this was "he's right" followed by "I don't think it's necessary to check logs, can I just have a warning or a jail". However, having seen the kill logs I'd noticed that you'd killed others too, and so I asked you why you'd killed so many people? Your response to this was "well I got this new sniper and I wanted to test it out". As a result, I explained to you that you can't go around killing random people and that because you'd killed 3+ people, it was indeed Mass RDM which comes with a 2 week ban. We had a full conversation and you had plenty of opportunity to alter your version of events, ask questions, or otherwise change your response if you wished to; but you simply admitted to killing people just so you could test your new guns, hence why I banned you for Mass RDM.

    (edit)
Following this, I noticed you also posted in the Garnet main discord where you also admitted to killing 4 people and understood it was Mass RDM:

  2. Your transaction ID can be found by logging into your PayPal account. You'll want to go to 'Activity' then 'All Transactions' where you can search "Garnet" to find all of the payments you have made previously.

    EnXCSVn.jpg

Once you've found the transaction for the credits you purchased to buy your custom class, click on the blue "Garnet Gaming" text to view more information.

Your transaction ID will be listed here.

All you'll need to do then is to submit a custom class change post via the following link (I trust you have the other information already):

  3. This is a truly fantastic guide! 🙂 I think this will really help a lot of people who are new to farming

Just a few notes from back when I used to farm a lot:
    - A fully upgraded printer costs roughly $100k to buy and fully upgrade, and produces roughly $100k per hour. This means it takes 1 hour to break even, so 2 hours of farming will double your investment.
    - This also means the first hour is the most important, in terms of defending your base from raiders, because after that at least you'll break even worst-case
    - Coolers need to be replaced every 30 minutes on the dot, and when they break, you have 5 minutes to replace them before they blow up! Using a timer (like Google) really helps keep track of this.
    - The most efficient route to level-up for low level players (1-30) is to take very frequently from the printers, given XP doesn't carry over between levels. For example, if you're level 1 and took $200k from a printer, you'd be level 2, whereas if you took multiples of $5k you'd probably jump to level 10+ (haven't done the math to confirm exactly how high you'd go, but as an example)
    - When buying printers off others, price is one of many factors to consider. Are they well known amongst other farmers for being trustworthy? Are they quick to setup / drop their printers? Are they available to replace lost printers over the duration of your farming session for a fee? Will they help you place and upgrade them for an additional fee?

all this, to get raided 10 mins later 😞

It's always horrible getting raided! I've been there myself after going AFK for a few minutes lol. I think it's important to nail down a really good base design if you're planning on spending some time farming, and once you've built something really decent, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to defend it even without perks or donator weapons. I tested this a while ago with one of my bases, and chose to only use the HK pistol (cheapest gun to buy in the game) and it held up well. My biggest problem is going AFK though, I'd go make a coffee or make dinner and come back to no printers lmao

  4. DENIED

Evidence has been submitted via DM's.

Your ban will remain and considering you've just been demoted following other issues, you will also receive a permanent blacklist from the staff team.

  5. Congratulations to everyone who's worked hard this month to keep our favourite server as awesome as ever 🙂

A big well done to our MVP's X12, Wub, and Lala Lady; you've got some crazy sit counts, thank you for your hard work!

To everyone else, thank you all for your time and dedication in keeping Garnet DarkRP the best server around. When we all pull together and do our bit, we can really make an enormous difference in ensuring people have a great time here, and hopefully many more to come. If you didn't quite meet the mark, you know what you need to do to change that and we're always happy to help with guidance and advice, DM's are always open.

Here's to another month, cheers 🥂

  6. I didn't realise you'd been on GG for 7 years, that's awesome! 🙂 I hope to still see you around on the server and I wish you the very best of luck with your business. Thank you for all the work that you've done over the years helping out in the staff team

I'm just worried it might be a bit hard for Nutter to code in.

A note for Nutter, when you're feeling defeated as though you're so close yet so far, and an unfindable LUA error ends what was otherwise a productive coding session; remember that by adding this system hundreds of players will feel the same sense of pain. That's exactly what we're after lmao

Confirming referral! I spoke with Ganja Goblin last month about applying, and I believe I must have given my referral then. I'd like to say that I've known him since last year, and he's always been one of the most kind and decent people I have met playing on the server. He genuinely cares about the other players, he has fantastic interactions with everyone that I have seen and is always very active and social. He helps other players who are in need of guidance, while also integrating well amongst the older players who've been around a while. I believe that he would be joining the staff team for the right reasons - that being not for the sake of status or power, but to actually and genuinely make some kind of difference in the community and protect others against toxicity, with the aim of ensuring the longevity of the server so that hopefully many more people can enjoy the same times that we have all had. He understands what it means to have been on the other side of that, which I believe puts him in a great position to better understand and help others he will undoubtably encounter in the same situations. He understands the rules well from what I have seen, and I'm counting on him to be a truly fantastic member of staff!

I will say that it's exceptionally rare for me to give my referral, I hold incredibly high standards for staff on the server and don't believe that literally anyone is perfect (including myself). In fact, it's likely that you won't see me giving out a referral again, since becoming manager I remain largely neutral in order to better represent the player base. So please do me proud Ganja Goblin! Hold yourself to the highest of standards and never settle for anything less than perfect. I know you have what it takes 🙂

  9. I think these are some pretty good questions actually, so I'll do my best to go through them to help clear up the specifics:

Getting to Prestige 1 takes a LONG time.

Absolutely! If I were to put this on a difficulty scale from 1-10, I'm literally aiming for 10. It should be brutally difficult to earn the Ironman title, which makes the unique reward all the more appealing and coveted. I'd anticipate that players would require multiple attempts to complete it, just as in a lot of other games, it's certainly not for the faint hearted lol.

    2. This challenge does not sound exciting.  All it takes is for you to base with someone who has a custom class/donor weapon and you're pretty much safe. If this challenge was introduced, I know exactly what I would do: Build in some God-forsaken corner of the map, farm printers until I get to meth manufacturer,  farm meth & printers until I get to crack manufacturer, then farm crack and printers until I get to level 100. That doesn't sound entertaining or exciting, as there's not much danger or action, or even interaction with other people.

I mean it depends on the person, I respect your view on this and DarkRP has many different play styles, some people just want to play as a DJ and chill with others, some like to be a cop and search for criminals. This suggestion appeals to those who already enjoy jobs such as the Meth Manufacturer, Crack Manufacturer, etc; jobs which offer good XP. In fact you might find that some jobs (such as delivery man, or dumpster diving as a hobo) become a key element in the early game, given the decent gains of these classes are often overlooked. Even if you choose to base for the entire duration as a manufacturer, of course the difference here is that at some point you're going to have to leave the base and sell up to the NPC, the thrill of making it back safely and making some good progress is (to me at least) pretty thrilling. I appreciate it's not everyone's cup of tea though.

    A. If you complete the challenge, do you keep the money and the prestige, or does it disappear?

I mean this is up for discussion. I'd say you don't keep the money or prestige, that's just part of the brutal price you pay for achieving this unique title.

    34 minutes ago, WohMi said:

    B. Couldn't people just disconnect to avoid being killed so their challenge does not reset?

They could, but often people don't know for sure they're going to die and for most players, they'd die before they had a chance to disconnect. It's certainly possible but I don't think it will be very commonplace.

    37 minutes ago, WohMi said:

    C. If you purchased VIP weapons/donor classes/etc. while you were in "challenge mode," would they go to your non-challenge inventory, or challenge inventory? And if they did go to your challenge inventory, would             you be able to keep them once you completed/failed the challenge?

They'd be sent to your "non-challenge mode" for want of a better expression. You'd only have access to donor weapons when you're not participating in the challenge.

    40 minutes ago, WohMi said:

    D. Do arrests reset the challenge?

Nope, only on death (it could be linked for when the kill is shown). This means not on job change, respawn, reconnect, etc. Only on death.

    41 minutes ago, WohMi said:

    E. If you were unjustly killed (RDM), would it be possible for a staff member to return you to previous state in the challenge, or would it be 'tough shit lol' ?

It would be tough shit lmao

  10. ACCEPTED

What better way to show off your wealth then to have a stack of cash as a hat? This will be added to the server with what will likely be a hefty price tag to suit.

Note that while this will be accepted here, it will still need to be passed over to the development team for a second opinion to ensure it's feasible to be added.

  11. ALREADY ACCEPTED

This is already against the server rules as it stands.

The no-collide tool is restricted on the server, and so the only way for no-collide props to exist is via exploitation of other tools, which is a banable offence.
With that said, enforcement will be increased to ensure that everyone is following the rules.

  12. DENIED

The no-collide tool is restricted in the server, and so as it currently stands, the only way to have no-collided props (whether that be glass or anything else) is by exploitation of other tools which is a banable offence.

This is not something that we will be changing, and enforcement will be increased to ensure people are following the rules.

  13. ACCEPTED

Due to the amount of positive community support, this will be added to the server and will likely be featured in the point shop as a rare / unique item (just as it is in OSRS) to show your support for this wonderful game. It will likely be either priced to be rare, or obtainable through only certain limited times and events, although the specifics of which are subject to change during implementation.

  14. ACCEPTED

This feature will be added to help incentivise new players to join the server, while also potentially rewarding those who invite their friends to join and stay in the community.
The benefits will be balanced to ensure that there is no risk of exploitation, so the current suggestion (subject to change) is as follows:

A list of some of the benefits for new players who get referred may include:
    - Limited time double-XP boost
    - Pointshop Reward
    - Small !credits reward (in-game, not donator credits)
    - Some low-level !unbox crates

If the new player remains in the community and reaches a certain level, the player who referred them will get benefits such as:
    - Forbidden Crate (or a multiple of)
    - A unique hat / accessory to show off their companionship
