  1. Since there's a new forums and there's no guide on how to make a fading door that meets server requirements, here's an extensive guide on how to make one. If someone asks you how to make a fading door, you can just link them to this.

    Step 1: Own a building

Unless you want to leave your printers on the streets, you should own a building. Preferably a big building where you have lots of room to build on.

Step 2: Put up a building sign

If you don't want to be raided or mugged while you're making a base, put up a building sign. This means no one can raid, mug or steal from you, but at the same time, you can't raid, mug, steal, own a printer, or make pot.

    Locate the 3D2D Textscreen

Customize your textscreen as you see fit. Remember to say that you're building!

Place it down somewhere that you can clearly see it

Step 3: Pick a prop and decorate it

Now you need to find a prop that you want to act as your fading door. It can be anything that you can place down.

Now decorate it (or not) and make it look as flashy as you want

Step 4: Make it into a fading door

Now to make it into a fading door. First, locate the fading door in your tools

Underneath the word "Fade" should be a big gray button. Press it once and pick a key on your keyboard to act as a fading door. I recommend putting it somewhere far from your controls in order to avoid accidentally opening your base up. Make sure that "Start Faded" and "Toggle" are NOT check marked (Unless you're making another contraption).

    Step 5: Add keypads

Now that you've got your fading door, you need to add keypads. Locate the keypad in your tools

Now the areas I've circled are the most important settings you need to change.

Access Password is the keypad combination you need to put in if you want to enable your fading door.

Access Granted key is the keybind that enables the fading door. Make sure it is the same bind as the one you put in your fading door.

Hold Length is how long the door will stay open. You NEED to have it at a minimum of 6 seconds.

Now exit the tools GUI and put your keypads on to both sides of the door.

After you've done that, make sure that every single one of your fading doors work. Punch in your code in the keypad and make sure that the fading door stays open for at least 6 seconds. If everything works, you can remove your building sign and put up a KOS sign.

Congratulations! You've put up a fading door.

    1. DJ’s: Shouldn’t be allowed to build in the streets. It opens the door for people to set up DIRECTLY in front of spawn and play absolutely anything. It destroys a new players first impression when they join the server and are forced to hear a 10 hour loop of Nyan Cat, or an hour long video of someone eating bags of Doritos, as soon as they spawn in. I understand they can just walk out of the radios range, but the DJ can also just set up in front of someone's base and legally harass them.

+1) I agree with this (even though I do it sometimes) since it gives people the option of simply walking away instead of being forced to listen to it 24/7.

    2. Civil Protection/Mayor: They may not perform illegal activities. But the hitman doesn't do anything illegal until he kills someone, the placing of the hit isn't really illegal, or is it? - The bounty hunter is essentially their hitman in my opinion.

+1) I personally think hitmen and assassins are more illegal mercenaries, so it would just make sense RP wise since a bounty hunter could be thought of as a more "legal" hitman

  3. -1

Let's start off small. I've never seen you in game at all despite your 56 hours. It could be because you're 14(?) hours ahead of me, but I'll let that slide. Another reason why I gave you a -1 is because of what br0ken brought up. You should at least know the basic rules if you want to because of staff.

Now the real kicker. I did a little research (aka copy and pasting your first sentence into the search bar) and it comes up with multiple results of that exact same sentence. So, this shows me that you don't even really care about the amount of effort you put into your application.

YES! This is what I tell everyone! If water gets things wet, then its wet!

You can wipe water off of a table, making it dry, but can you wipe water off of water? No, WATER. IS. NOT. WET.
