Ok so to give a bit of context behind what happened. Player A was transporting a printer - Player B shot at said printer and blew it up then Player A shot at Player B but then Player B ran away and came back 5 mins later and killed Player A.

player a should have finished the job,

okay gunner, hopefully garnet's doing a bit, and while I understand that there's a lot of "dark edgy humor crime" in DarkRP, I definitely don't agree with the idea of adding a class that encourages "Predatory actions against minors."

    That's just me, though 🤷‍♂️

Edit: No clue why you're cringe-reacting me for not wanting a job class that would make the server more toxic, especially towards younger players. I'm not surprised, but still, doesn't make sense to me.

I heard Roblox is a good game for those young kids, they should go play that if they don’t wanna get their feelings hurt

     famous quote

“I would genuinely suggest if this is too much of an experience, you try and find another game to play that is not in a LITERAL sense made to depict a very dark humor of police brutality, mass shootings, and drug abuse”

i still love this job idea

IMO, a priest should be able to:

    - base in the church

    - commit predator actions against underage church-goers

a priest criminal that doesn't raid but instead commits verbal actions against there followers sound fun to me.

    +1

    ima harass my followers

Hobo's can't even mug, raid, or kill unless its self defense. They can't base, they can't have printers or any of that schmancy shit. So tell me how this harms the server by letting hobo's have their rifles.

Thanks for reading off what you can’t do as a hobo? I don’t why the fuck you felt the need to do that.

I’m gonna make it really simple when you play hobo do you care about what gun you have? Why would you? Your role-playing as a homeless dude trying to make it back into society, or you’re just having fun building some random shit on the street.

why are you making a big fuss over hobos having bigger weapons?

It’s honestly immersion breaking if you’re mugging a hobo and they wip out a dlore/Db and shoot you.

It’s immersion breaking seeing a homeless dude walk around with an RPG

And you complain about hobos being able to die because of hits? It makes perfectly sense to want to kill a hobo. They throw boots/look ugly/create a mess in the street/scream at you to give them money. Like jesus fuck those bastards im happy u can put a hit on them and mug them.

Hobos should have a VERY difficult time defending themselves, HELL i would +1 a suggestion to strip anyone who joins hobo (except phy / tool and grav gun if possible) and have them dumpster dive/find shit in alleyways to defend themselves with.

Hobos are homeless people who lost everything in life/vulnerable to physical and emotional attacks

You wanna use real life facts for some odd stupid reason? Heres one

“Research shows people experiencing homelessness are far more likely than housed people to be the targets of violent crime. A study conducted across five cities in the United States in 2014 found 98% of participants experiencing homelessness had been victims of a violent attack, with 73% experiencing an attack in the last year. ”

hobos should stay the way they are, makes perfect sense. there's not a concerning rate of people not playing hobo because u can't have a bigger weapon then a pistol.

if its not broken dont fix it, its perfectly amazing how it is rn.

Well, technically that assumes that homeless people cannot somehow obtain access to rifles. In fact, there are articles online about homeless people selling illegally obtained rifles and other assorted firearms to people.

Just take a couple of these for example:

    https://okcfox.com/news/nation-world/100k-in-stolen-guns-tools-found-in-underground-homeless-encampment-san-jose-california-theft-thief-equipment-hidden-bunker-coyote-creek-wool-creek-drive-suspects-arrested-charges

    https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/national-international/man-sold-two-rifles-to-boy-in-philly/145108/

Would it be uncommon for a homeless person to be brandishing a rifle versus a knife or a little handgun? Heck yea, but it doesn't mean it can't happen. Homelessness can be associated with various things, one of those things being a dumb broke criminal that recently got out of jail. People are and can become desperate in times of need. The whole "hobo's not having anything larger then a pistol or a knife" is stupid. It serves almost nothing. Hobo's can't raid, they can't commit crimes so why restrain them anymore then necessary?

Its not the fact of how often it is. What mafia gang would put a hit on some random homeless person? Make sense to you? Didn't think so.

this is gmod, not real life, i aint lookin at those articles

Everyone -1'ing this should also then agree hobos should have larger weapons. If we can be attacked just like any other class let me hold a damn rifle.

Thats most likely one or two scenarios out of the many where i've came out on top. When people harass me or act like an asshole to me, I simply return them the favor. I live by the saying "Treat people like you want to be treated"

this is gonna have to stop if ur gonna be staff member, if someone is being toxic to you in a sit, you mute and warn for diss in a sit, you don’t “return the favor” or treat them how they’re treating you”

if someone is constantly harassing you , dont go back at them and report it to a admin + who can handle the harassment reports.

    7 hours ago, HtmlRoot said:

Firstly, harassment and toxicity is against guidelines on all spectrums. Secondly, I wouldn't take it into my own hands as I can't take my own sit. I would report toxicity, or harassment and have another staff member handle it. Damn, I didn't know I couldn't be upset about something that goes against community guidelines.

theres a difference between being a regular user and a staff member. if you cant handle your emotions and its gonna spill out in ooc, its a bad look as a staff member.

i don’t doubt your staffing abilities, but from what i seen on the forums when people are harassing or toxic to you leaves me concerned.  Your getting powers and abilities and im simply concerned if someone pushes you too far that your gonna use them in a abusive way.

i would like to know how you intend on controlling yourself, steps you will/have taken to not let people push you that far.

I believe that statement gives even more incentive for players raiding to violate NLR on big bases in order to get a big cashout for a simple warning/jail. I think that an incremental punishment system would be necessary for something like this to be implemented. Something like, per 200k the punishment increases. First 200k - Warning for "Not Compensating a Bad Raid Loss", and at the 400k mark, a warning for the same thing along with a 12 hour ban, and for 600k, a warning for the same thing along with a 24 hour ban. And for anything 800k+ is a 3 day ban if not compensated. I believe a system of punishment like this is necessary to combat these things, even with how little it happens it still does happen.

i mean its kinda on you if you lose all that money, its not like garnet is forcing you to keep that much money in your printers.

I also think when you have that many printers that could supply that money in one withdrawal phase, your base is already nearly impossible to raid anyway?

I mean I understand when your raiding someone, but its on you for not withdrawing before you transport.

    easy solution:

Withdraw your money, no need to baby the players

i agree with this, i just simply dont see the point of nerve gas and it makes raiding a little easier which i mean we complain so much how its impossible/nearly impossibles so why are we making it more difficult?

  12. -1 non vanilla , dont feel like it belongs tbh

more suited for drp 2 if that happens

Thats why staff members have discretion to separate the good from the bad, the pretty and the ugly. If that were the case, the staff member would let the person go unpunished and if they were seen ingame again, they would be given advice on how to better handle the situation instead of leaving the game, or just not basing and playing the game differently.

    Yet again; Discretion.

Which are dealt with by HR and Overwatch or whatever the ban appeals department is. There are systems in place to put bad staff in their place.

There's always alternatives like paying for dupes or asking a friend to make one for them that are more experienced. Also building isn't hard, I picked up on it quite fast. Its easily teachable and learnable.

In adding this rule it would be made clear how to properly issue punishments with this new rule. Also, it would expand the leave timer for LTAR's to something to like 5 minutes instead of the 2 minute timer. Thats more then enough time to get a breather before logging out.

Adding onto what I said, we could make LTAR vary in punishment degree from 1 to 3 days based on severity of the situation, the person who logged off with level and playtime as a factor and so on. It might complicate the punishment aspect, but its the only way we could properly be more lenient on some people when its needed.

Staff members are ban happy, I don’t want it to come down to “mod discretion”

it should be a rule for higher level or shouldn’t a rule at all.

we shouldn’t ban lesser level players because they wanna leave the game after getting there shit rocked by some dude outside there with a rpg,

Here’s my big issue with this, and I think we need to put our shoes into the player.

I’m a relatively new player joining the server, I I work my way up the levels, and I all of a sudden start basing. After printing for a little bit I all of a sudden get blasted with an RPG with no real knowledge of how to counter it or expert building like some other players. I’m pissed off and there’s really nothing else I wanna do so I decide to leave the server.

All of a sudden, that person is slapped with a three day ban?

It only three days, but it’s a ban that will probably happen quite often, it’s a player that will not want to join back on the server because they think

    1. Rules are harsh

    2. Asshole Staff members

    3.  They feel like they’re being forced to be an expert builder

    4. There’s a lot of other servers I could join, let’s give this one a try.

I also think there is a  solution instead of just a ban, why not make it your prop disappear but your printer doesn’t disappear for about a minute? The raider is able to claim it for the 2 hours or however long it is,

the only thing that needs to be prevented is abuse from players, leaving and rejoining constantly so someone could claim there printer for them.

My issue is I don’t want to see Ban happy moderators turning the players who are less experienced than others away from the server or building in general.

This rule should really only be targeted towards people that are basically pretty high level

A griefer or bad-faith player is a player in a multiplayer video game who deliberately and intentionally irritates and harasses and annoys other players within the game

Also a Rule:  Do not harass, grief, or troll players of the community.

You can see in this Clip that you spawn a prop to block his movement, (also spawned a prop on the street as a citizen)

There’s also multiple instances of you spamming chat, Both during RP and in a sit. There was also a previous sit with you where you constantly spammed chat

I haven't played in quiet  a while so I'm not that familiar with the rules having to make sits frequently to ask about them. I asked if there was a procedure for being muted and he just banned me for it which is incredibly inappropriate.

I can't recall seeing a sit or a report where you asked about a "rule", the rules you broke are basic rules also.

Your also a longtime player, who broke multiple rules. i wasn't going to give you a "break" especially when you showed to no intent to play the game in a good manner.

You're also a long-time player with Mutiple bans on record even one for harassment!

If your unfamailar with rules, i suggest reading the rules again so you don't "accidentally" spam chat, prop minge or use your textscreens in bad faith towards a member of the community.

Also your little "hut" looks like its blocking off most of the tunnel which is another rule

You may not block off the streets or restrict functionality of any path which is used for navigation around the map

    • Example: Reducing a tunnel into a small pathway, to bypass other restrictions

  16. You seen like a nice guy, had you in some sits. There’s some rules you seen a little confused or just didnt know to the full extent of. In those sits you handled yourself well , seemed mature and i had no issues with your behavior.

i think you need more time to show you can be a clean player. Your coming off 2 bans for multiple warns and i still see you on the wrong side of a report.
