@IAreGunnerI never did anything wrong. I always did staffing well, and was friendly and nobody had issues with me except toxic people in the server. It wasn't until for once in my goddamn life I chose grinding over taking sits did proggy take it on himself to blow up all 20 of my printers I had JUST upgraded just because the 5+ other staff on wouldn't take sits and he favorites them. So then I resigned, gave him the middle fingers and then shortly after got perma'd for roasting his ass on discord.

@IAreGunnerSay whatever you want about Proggy, he was still an ass at times and it just so happened he didn't like me in particular and was an ass to me. I thank adric for sticking up for me when others laughed in my face for his assery towards me.

@IAreGunnerI can agree with all you've just said and I think that its just difficult for people to hash out some of the preventative measures. However, I do think that's what needs to happen. If everyone is on the same page, that's another story.

@IAreGunnerWhile that may be true that if it isn't your career or life's work you shouldn't let it affect you, you also have to understand that this world is an escape of the real world for some people. Life isn't rainbows and unicorns for everyone, and some people do envy the real life they live. And no, not everyone can magically change their life situation, so I believe that while trying to ignore the negativity and move on does help a little bit, its not as easy for some people who find closure in the communities they find out there.

It would be nice if people weren't assholes, but for those of you who can see past the curtains for what everything is good for you then I guess.

And the fact that Gunner had to make it clear he felt it was "weird" for people to get so frustrated over such things makes it almost abundantly clear that they at least somewhat believe we should just "toughen up". It makes me depressed that people have to strike back at innocent comments about people crying over spilled milk. Do the crime, you do the time. All actions have consequences, whether positive or negative. We can debate all day long how it is and how it isn't, but the fact of the matter is that no one will win. We need to accept the reality we face and move the fuck on.

Yea, well its very hard to iterate that something is a joke over text without blatantly putting a disclaimer at the bottom saying "THIS IS A JOKE AND ALL COMMENTS REFLECTED ABOVE SHOULD BE TAKEN AS SATIRE AND NOT GENUINE FEELINGS OR IDEAS", so to say people are always just joking about touchy subjects is okay, but it takes away from the real feelings some people have and how vulnerable people are. I think you have valid points NotDeadPool2, but I also think that there is some debate to be had on the hatred that fills the world, and the internet we use. I think people should be mindful and extra cautious in this day and age, and if thats too much to ask then just log off.

And as for me "summarizing my views", I in fact am summarizing the general public and the vulnerability to the hatred of the world. Not everybody is the same stainless steel they were in 2016, and there's a new generation upon us. Lets not tarnish the world with our own refusal to right our wrongs.

Like, its okay that you aren't harmed as much as others when called certain words and things. But its not okay to generalize everybody and try to say "what the fuck buddy, don't cry?". thats like asking somebody who just lost their dad/mom/sibling "whats wrong?" and "cheer up!"

Gunner, the world is not the same as it was in 2016-2019. People change, attitudes change. And the world is sick of hatred and negativity. The world is sick of division and lack of acceptance. People are being heard, and it is for the better that they are heard. Regardless of how you would react to being called homophobic slurs does not reflect the greater world or how most people would take things. Yes, can it be annoying that you have to cater to each and every person? Of course it can be. But the world had to cater to the same toxicity that plagued the internet for decades. Not everyone is the same as you, and not everyone thinks as you do.
