You events seem very creative and fun, you are active again and appear to plan on continuing that activity, and although you have been banned on a server before, it was an accident. I think you would make an amazing GM, and wish you the best of luck with your app.

    Lots of hours

    Past Garnet Staffing Experience

Large Paragraphs, Doesn't repeat the same thing over and over

    Many Referrals

You are a great asset to the server as just a player, and I feel that you would help the server even more as a staff.

  3. I know keep asking, but is this map compatible with helicopters?

If we are still using the power core on this map which I strongly suggest due to just the simple things and activities we were able to just by having it on the server it would be nice to kinda have the room in the back of base in a secure location for both bases currently the taliban one is right next to their spawn and all the bunks so it makes it really easy to hear when it is taken unlike US Powercore room where it is a fair distance away from US DB and Spawn. Also if there was a way to make it to where the power core room controls the lighting in more places over the base kinda like how it was on CS desert that’d be even better.

Also one of the big issues I saw with this map previously was the long strips of roads with not a whole lot of cover if more and bigger broken down vehicles and props were added to this road it’d allow for a more CQC based environment imo otherwise I love this map

p.s dual areas this isn’t an absolute must but I’d love to see some new dueling areas that would randomly place you in a different mix of them when you duel someone kinda like DRP this might be a pain and I’d completely up to you but it’d be pretty cool imo

I agree, the long roads seem like 11B farms waiting to happen, and the power core room should be more balanced. Like you said just throwing some random sandbags and broken cars on the long strips would be nice.

I've never had any issue with you, you are very active on the server and from what I've seen a big help to 11A. The events seem very engaging and fun, and I think you would make an amazing addition to the GM team.

Amazing WOC and I feel you would a good staff, you are active a lot, your paragraphs are good, and from what i've seen, you have become more responsible on the server. I do feel you should work on toxicity a bit though, as i have seen some of that.

So, MRP is toxic because the community wants to play on a new map every 3-4 months so the combat doesn't get stale? The MRP community is toxic because it wants the gun meta to be changed from the same meta it has been for at least over two years?

Yes the same thing will probably happen in the future, but it really shouldn't be labeled as a bad thing that the community wants change to keep the combat/server in general from being stale. These changes really don't take that much time to do, changing the map to something new really shouldn't have to be an ordeal for the community to go through every 6 months, same with getting weapon tweaks and changes.

To me this just sounds like the community wanting change from the same boring shit they play all day for months. This really should be considered anything but toxic in my opinion. In my opinion, it sounds like Garnet is just bored of working on MRP and wants to focus on other game modes that he is actually enjoying working on. Which is completely fine to do, nothing wrong with that. However, he really either should hand over the reigns to someone to make these monotonous/tedious changes that take some focus/time to do if he expects the server to continue doing well. If he doesn't, then we should all expect the player population to drop in the coming months.

Gonna leave it here cause we've gotten severely off topic from the thread, but I felt like all this needs to be said lol.

I agree we should leave this here, and I agree with your idea if him being bored of it.

What? How has MRP become the little brother crying for a turn on the Xbox. It may have been like that in the past, but I feel as if recently MRP hasn't been asking for all that much compared to what StarwarsRP and Rust have been getting. I mean the only changes people have asked for recently that needs Garnet's attention as far as I know that the majority of the community wants is some gun stat changes (Which he has an entire thread to go off of) and a map change to some place that isn't a desert. People really aren't asking much more than that lol.

The reason SWRP and Rust and getting things is because Garnet likes those communities, MRP is toxic, and if the trend stays, there will always be at least one person whining, even if we do get the weapon and map changes. Even if the map does change, in about 2-4 months another thread like this will be waiting to happen. The same thing will eventually happen with the weapon changes too.

Shoooooot if I have anything to add, I think players are looking for an even split of CQC and Long Range combat. Right now, Omega is providing a better battlegrounds for long range combat, when heading to OBJs, and CQC in the actual OBJ. I think what would be nice is a nice long range OBJ to cater to that dynamic, but still have some CQC areas to mix it up.

Ion' know. I haven't been around in a bit. I only know rp_csdesert and omega.

Honestly i agree, something like this would cater to the snipers, and the cqc players

Can you list some specific examples of when this has happened where the community has complained about something we've asked for? Only times I personally can think of that happening is with maps. And to be fair with maps, they are a very complex thing to design/make so they are most likely going to have flaws people don't like about it. People should be able to get bored of maps as well, the fact there isn't a solid 3-4 month map rotation already in place with the amount of previous maps we've had in the past is kind of ridiculous imo. It's been stated at least 1-2 times that there would be a rotation in place, but that has yet to occur. Playing on the same map every day for months gets boring real quick, so if you're referring for players to stop complaining about maps it is not the way to go.

People should be able to dislike things Garnet adds to the server without repercussion, sometimes the things he adds just don't work out and while it's a shame, the community in it's entirety shouldn't be punished for it. It's really a hit or miss kind of thing you know, people won't know if they like it until they try it, and that is true for most things.

I agree the maps do get a bit stale, but people need to understand garnet has a life and other servers to attend to other than here, and with us constantly asking MRP has become the little brother crying for a turn on the xbox.

I feel like this sentiment needs to be addressed, how does the "MRP community" prove themselves to be worthy enough for updates to the map/server?

I feel to prove ourselves we need to stop complaining about what we actually get. Any time we get something , usually something we asked for, we complain about it. I agree that i wouldn't want  to update a server that complains when it gets updates. I understand they should give feedback, but the way we ask for something, get it, then get mad how we were given it seems to be part of the reason we aren't getting anything else.

Ima cut it point blank with u from what I know management wants af gone

From a certain point I understand why, its tedious to set up right. But its something I personally enjoy, and was wondering if there is a chance at it staying.

We're at a point of time where maybe next month I will have the time to edit a map (depending on SWRP and Rust) but uh, the fact we've only been on this Omega for 2 and a half months yet "people are getting bored of it" blows my mind.

If we get ~100 votes from active players of the server, I could expedite changing the map. Echo V1 for one will not sustain ~80+ active players very well though.

If a new map was to come, would you make it able to accommodate air force factions? Not to pressure anything about it, just wondering if it would happen. I understand you aren't too sure about them staying in at all, and its probably not something you are worried about at the moment.

I’m getting annoyed of this we need to prove shit like if players don’t get on the server everyday and spend time on it as if we don’t try to ever do anything on the server

People need to see that in order for garnet do work on this server, we need to be worth even working on, and stop being dissatisfied with the updates we actually get. If we complain when he actually does update the server, hes not going to care enough to do it again.

Well today marks one year since I (re)joined Garnet, since 2018. Since then, we've only seen 2 (technically 3) map rotations. It's been a full year of desert map. I am wholeheartedly in favor of changing the map to a forested map, or something that isn't sand. Because I hate sand.

There are a lot of factors though. It's important to have access to a good cycle of maps, so when the community eventually gets bored and starts bitching, we can ignore the problems and just change the map.

It's also important to analyze the game state. I have really genuinely enjoyed playing war on the current map. While I don't get on the server often, the combat I engage in on this map when I am online is by far the most enjoyable to me, and I think that sentiment can be shared between a lot of other community members.

Another thing to analyze is how much work it will take. I think if the MRP community is able to show that it is worthy of all the work that a map update requires, then Garnet should oblige them. But as we all know: The MRP community.

I agree, we need to prove we are worth his time for him to edit a map, and implement it, as I said before I want Air Force Factions to work with it, but chances of that seem very slim.
