  1. Description: I wish to suggest the implementation of a new formation titled "Rainbow". Given how wild the elevator and hallway situations can get during events I thought up of this quick little solution while a more nuanced one can be put in its place. The formation works much like its namesake, all battalions will line up according to the colors of the rainbow. Ex., CG(Red), 212th(Orange), 41st(Green), etc. Every member of a single corresponding color will enter/access the elevator until all of its members go through, once they pass the next color will move up and so on and so forth. Reasoning: To aid in unclogging players from elevators and hallways and instilling a little more order to keep events smooth.
  2. My apologies, I wish to close my application. A lot has changed in a short amount of time for me. I no longer have the time or the desire to commit to GM. Thank you for your time. In-game name: Pasteur Age: 23 SteamID: STEAM_1:1:41995473 Warns: To my knowledge no official warnings has been issued. I have received plenty of verbal warnings. Timezone: EST or GMT-4. Playtime: About 150 hours. Do you have access to TeamSpeak and a microphone?: Yes Do you have the ability to record Garry’s Mod videos?: I do not know. Referrals: Support from multiple players on discord. Past experiences as a Game Master: N/A Why should we choose you over other applicants?: I simply wish to enjoy myself, experience something new and get to know new people. I have no interest in being better than other applicants, I simply want to be me. My demeanor and behavior in the server and in the discord should be sufficient in telling what kind of person I am. Have you ever been banned or punished on any server? If so, include details.: On Garry’s Mod I’ve been arrested a few times at most, never banned or kicked. How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: 3 to 4 hours starting at 8pm EST, hours may and will vary. In your own words, what are the responsibilities of a Gamemaster?: To entertain the players by providing engaging and stimulating content. Describe how you would contribute to RP as a part of the Gamemaster team: I simply enjoy writing stories and letting the ideas flow. Some are good. Some are bad. My RP ideas are baked into the stories I write. I also hope to aid other Gamemasters by providing diverse ideas from my stories that they could incorporate into their own. Explain your single most creative idea for contributing to the RP environment of the server.: General tryouts that anyone can participate in. I want to try and include all players in small trainings or small silly events to pass the time during the later hours of the server. An example of a small silly event would be a Karaoke night or CTs Got Talent. In said event a small stage will be placed where CTs may participate alone or in groups to perform their desired act. All players would be voting at the end of the event for who they liked the best. I believe it is important to break down social barriers and introduce players who might have never interacted before to each other. It may not be memorable, but I want to try and make them as inclusive as I can. Please list and explain 5 unique event ideas of any scale: [Be sure to include any additional context that may be necessary to your explanation.] For this section I will be posting the Events I have written previously on event-suggestions within the discord server. 1. Operation Pest Control A distress signal has arrived. The planet, Balmorra. The problem, big stinkin’ bugs. The locals call them colicoids. Big, ugly, and mean. Collicoids have taken home in one of the largest factories within Balmorra that produces weapon for both us and the CIS. These bugs aren’t stupid, it’ll take more than fire and brimstone to flush these buggers out. Basic intel from the locals indicate they are taking hostages so we need to play it smart. Additionally, these things are led by a queen. Do not kill the queen! I cannot stress this enough: do not kill her without making damn well sure we won’t get screwed over. Previous to your misconceptions of insects this is not a hive mind; kill the queen without the necessary preparation and we’re in a load of shit. These bugs have exceptional digging capabilities, their reinforcements can and will flank behind us during any sort of assault and they will ambush our scouts from the ground. As we touch ground our 41st recon forces will search for points of entry on the factory while taking out opposing scouts and lookouts. Once intel is provided our main task force 501st will breach and clear the main entrance with their heavy armor. 212th you’ll board the factory from the ceiling after scouts clear it with their long-range weaponry. Once the 501st assault starts, 212th you’ll drop down from the ceiling and engage the enemy from above the ramparts. 21st and 327th you’ll both converge on any possible flanking routes designated by the 41st recon division. Mando’s and RC, your task is to deal with any large abominations that might spring up during the incursion. There’s no telling how large these things can grow. 104th, during all the commotion your sole directive is to find and liberate all and any hostages you find. CG will accompany you and escort any hostages back to our relief tents. 104th once CG have all minor hostages secured you must head towards the conference room. It’s reported that the queen is there and holding the board of directors there as their ace in the hole. Your options are to attempt a deal with her to evacuate her forces and head back to their burrows or stall her long enough for our forces to clear the factory, once cleared you are green to kill the target. All engineers will be tasked to find and secure weapons so they are not damaged by the fighting, although it would be unfortunate if the CIS munitions were to be damaged or sabotaged. The locals have given us the blueprints and access codes to bypass any security lock the bugs will use against us; despite this we may need to improvise there’s no telling what tampering, or short-circuiting has happened during the bug infestation. After the mission is completed, we will need to perform a biological sweep with our flame troopers and our medical team will treat hostages for any cuts, bites, burns, possible infections, or venom in their system. Biological samples of the colicoids is not paramount but the scientists back home would like to study some corpses and ideally have a live subject to supervise and document. You have your orders, men move out! For The Republic! 2. Operation Lure We have been entrusted by high command to reprogram these captured commando droids. They were tasked with the capture of our jedi general and then deliver him/her/it to a stolen Venator ship. The brass has tasked us with the recapture of this ship and have given us the droids as a means to do so. Once the droids are reprogrammed, they will contact the Venator ship to give us their coordinates. The droids will mention they will arrive in a ‘’stolen” republic transport vessel. Our forces will lie within the ship in wait while the droids and the captured jedi head forwards to the ship's bridge to report to the tactical droid in command. Due to the high-profile capture of our general it is unlikely the CIS will scan for lifeforms on our vessel but just incase we will constantly be interfering any incoming life scanners. Once inside the bridge our jedi will release himself from the constraints and secure it with the commando droids, this will leave the rest of the ship in disarray with no orders to follow. At the same time our forces will enter the ship and work on clearing it out, many of the droids should be confused and unarmed in the confusion allowing us to pick them off freely. Once the ship is secured we will contact the brass to send reinforcements to crew the ship and send it back home to be added to the Republic’s Grand Fleet. 3. Operation Double O Jimmy An international smuggling ring is heralded by the Twin Hutt brothers. Their most prolific benefactor was a Rodian kingpin. Intel obtained by our 41st Green Company during their stay in Nar Shaddaa indicates that this Rodian has planned a meeting with the Hutts in which they will discuss a matter of logistical trade routes, we fear the Hutts may lengthen or close current trade lanes crippling our supply lines and relief efforts. Conveniently this Rodian looks practically identical to our Janitor Jimmy. It may be a tall order, but the Republic’s future lies in his hands. Our Mandalorian allies have invited this Rodian into the Anaxes cantina to discuss a trade of armaments. We will take this opportunity to restrain the Rodian under illegal contraband and smuggling. Afterwards we will search his ship for any useful information we can use against the Hutt twins to keep our trade lanes operational or perhaps even reduce the cost of operations for the Republic. Once under our custody and all information is obtained, we will send Jimmy with an entourage towards the meeting. The CIS is bound to be attending the conference so we must be prepared to not raise any suspicion, if we are exposed conflict is inevitable and we don’t want to risk the neutrality of the Hutts. Plans go arry as Jimmy’s charisma wins over the Hutts, the CIS are not happy. They are threatening to use violence to sway the Hutts to their side. Our entourage spring on the scene and subdue the CIS. The Hutts are noticeably irritated but thanks to Jimmy’s quick wit the Hutts are swayed and thankful to the Republic's aid, increasing trade lanes and supplies at a discount. Finally the Hutts hand a personal invitation to Jimmy giving him unrestricted access to their Pleasure Cruise whenever he desires. Returning to base Jimmy returns to his janitorial duties as if nothing happened, what he does in his off time remains a mystery to our greatest detectives. All we know is that Jimmy has saved the Republic from economic collapse. 4. Operation Monolith A large piece of debris has landed on the Jedi Temple. Many Jedi younglings and non-combatants are indisposed and in dire need of medical assistance. This large object is alien in nature, containing many strange runes and emanating a malicious miasma. Both sides of the object have different sets of runes, it will take the efforts of both the Jedi and our own troopers to decipher what this thing is. Purge it of any possible foreign virus/contamination/dark side influence it might carry and determine whether to keep this object for study in hopes of enlightenment of our galaxy or eliminate it in hopes of preventing an unforeseen calamity. 5. Operation Crack Jaw During an off-world excursion, the Republic is challenged with the negotiations of a captured Jedi Master who was apprehended by a group of pirates, bounty hunters, and slavers who call themselves the Iron Gut Brigands. During this negotiation the Republic forces are betrayed as an CIS presence is felt coming up behind them. Stuck with the dastardly group tensions rise amongst both parties. The Republic commences with aggressive questioning towards the Brigands. The Brigands admit it was part of their plan, but the CIS attacked too early and are annoyed that they are pinned against the Republic with no way out. The brigands attempt to contact the CIS, but they are told to die fighting the Republic and cut comms. The Brigands, with no desire to die in this place, plead with the Republic to renegotiate terms for their safety. After a tense back and forth an agreement is made. The Brigands immediately release the Jedi Master from captivity and join the Republic in fighting against the onslaught of CIS forces in exchange for 50k credits. As the CIS are repelled the Brigands bid their farewell to the Republic vouching to only target CIS systems from now on. As a parting gift the leader of the Brigands give the head of the Republic forces a data pad containing CIS battleplans to invade Anaxes. 6. Operation Bait-and-Switch (A follow-up to 5.) According to the data pad gifted to us by unlikely allies. We are going to be invaded by CIS forces. Unluckily for them, we know when and where they will strike. They come in one frigate cruiser. Their numbers are small but the droids in the ship are specialized in infiltration and sabotage. We will make our base vulnerable to give our enemy a false sense of security. Our engineers will shutdown our generators allowing the CIS frigate to enter the planets atmosphere, once their ship is beginning to cross the threshold the engineers will reignite the planetary orbital shield and destroying the CIS ship in one fell swoop. This plan is not without risks, many droids are bound to survive the explosion and drop down on our doorstep, but we will already be waiting for them shooting them down as they exit their pods. Medics will be placed on high alert and focus on providing emergency aid to troopers who may be pelted by the incoming debris from the CIS frigate. Our planetary shields allow small vessels to pass unharmed, so we will scramble fighters to engage and eliminate all enemy fighters. After the ground forces have been defeated, our recon forces will explore the surroundings of our base to report if any droids are establishing a foothold. Finally, our Mandalorian allies will be tasked with the hunting and tracking of the elite task force originally sent out to infiltrate us, they may be hiding amongst our own troopers or perhaps in hiding around the many caves of Anaxes.
  3. I'd say perhaps the inclusion of small board games to entertain people or look for a small distraction from time to time. They could be added to the tables on the cantina or the bar to the right of requisition. Small games like checkers or chess create opportunities to unwind, build small in house events around it such as tourneys, and help provide a different method of interacting with other players. Naturally being able to speak while playing the game is essential to permit banter from both players. I am not sure how hard it would be to implement but you could use Pazak if you want a lore friendly alternative. With the ingame shops, I'd say make it possible to buy multiples of items instead of buying 1 item at a time and regarding the food shop have a small tooltip saying the amount of health gained per item. Buying weapons from the requisition vendor on the checkpoint should be made available to all but with an option to toggle it off once a player wants to take the requisitions job to rp. QOL make gonk give the same ammo amount to all weapons, perhaps make it 1k rounds baseline for everyone. If I think of anything else I'll let you know.
