Additionally, having done a little bit of research in the forums -
I'd like to cite previous instances where unfortunate individuals have ended up in the same set of circumstances that I'm now in.
You'll see HomeofHatred made an appeal on a permaban for hacking around six months ago, wherein there was actual video evidence of his player moving in game, in a way that could have been construed as "suspicious", yet after an analysis by staff, this ban was not upheld. My case differs from this significantly, in that my player does not actually appear in either the screenshot or video shown, for the reasons I've outlined above. There is no video (or otherwise) evidence of any suspicious behaviour on my part.
In the hopes that the community has consistent moderation between gamemodes, I'd also like to cite an appeal from the TTT forum, wherein the now-retired head admin states that " [the player is] not required to prove yourself that you are not hacking, only we do." (see comment from Deft). This player's ban was ultimately upheld due to actual evidence of hacking, which was provided - again, significantly different to what has been presented here.
Further, I'd like to add another appeal, where it appears that the fact that the appellant had put time and effort into the server was persuasive evidence to other community members - I'm relatively new, but I've put a fair amount of hours into the server, I'm not sure why you think I would waste that in such a silly fashion (see MoldyHotPocket's comment)
Finally, and thanks for reading this - take a look at my record; I don't have a single warn against me (iirc), I may not be very well known but I can say with certainty that I haven't previously been known for breaking the rules.
Thanks.
