  1. My previous burnout history should be rectified now that some IRL issues are sorted out, thank you for your input!
  2. I actually did have a concern that this would disqualify me, I did talk to the current GM admin team and they said that they did not have a problem with me applying despite my return being so recent. I also believe that several prolific members of the community have the same phases of play time, and to echo what Clyde said, this isn't really that much of a flaw.
  3. I really appreciate your insight Clyde! Thank you!
  4. I am genuinely sorry for the grammar and spelling thing, I have deleted that portion of the text. Now as for my anger I have worked on it a bunch and have gotten on the proper medications for my mental stuff, so yes I have managed to mellow out. As for you not seeing me, I genuinely haven't been back for that long, and due to the nature of my position, most of my time contributing to the server has been spent on docs and in meetings.
  5. It is time to address! 1: Perhaps the raptor thing was a tad uncouth, I meant no disrespect however, it was meant more as a joke for veteran GMs so I apologize on that front, and will be removing the raptor reference as that might not have been the smartest decision I have ever made. 2: The reasons I had to quit the team and leave these positions were due to very personal reasons at the time, mostly involving my very many mental health issues. During each of these instances I spoke to the GM Director(s) at the time and explained to them my situation. 3: While I cannot address every allegation brought against me during my lengthy stay in the Garnet gaming community I certainly can address the Jedi temple incident. At the time of the incident I was spending a lot of time on my Jedi life, and had switched to my primary for a short duration, I had to go afk and out of habit I used the Jedi temple TP, If you had done a little bit more digging you would have found that I was not punished for this incident and I had apologized to the parties involved, for which I was told that it was fine. If you question the content of my character please contact my referrals, or my many friends and fellow members of this community. I do thank you for taking the time to comment on my application, and I commend your dedication to ensuring that our staff and GM teams remain only the best our community has to offer!
  6. In-game name: 327th CPL Alfredo Age: 18 SteamID: STEAM_0:0:155611101 Warns: I'm pretty sure I ain't got none. Timezone: CST Playtime: Like just under 2000 hours. Do you have access to a microphone?: I think so. Do you have the ability to record Garry's Mod videos?: Oh boy yes I do. Referral(s): Buford, Baron Past experience as a Game Master: I was an L.Gm for this server for several months Why should we choose you over other applicants?: First off I have a pretty proven track record of creating fun stuff to do as well as picking up the slack where other members can't. In my time away from the server I have straightened my life out giving me a massive edge over my would-be competitors. My creative writing abilities have only improved in my time away from the server. Secondly I have a fierce dedication to this community, and putting out the very best work I can. I work extremely well under pressure, and have the ability to adapt to a situation not going how I planned. I have been known to strictly adhere the standards and rules set in place by the GM Administration. I am extremely dependent and do not rest until I have completed the task at hand. All of this is to say is that my admittance to the GM team is a no-risk high reward situation. Have you ever been banned or punished on any server? If so, Include details: Nope, spotless arrest record too. How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: Somehow more time than I had before, this is due to me graduating high school and starting college. In your own words, what are the responsibilities of a Gamemaster?: The responsibilities of a gamemaster are; A: Be active and contributing to the team. B: Creating fun and engaging stories so that the community want's to keep playing. and C: To not be a goon on all Garnet platforms as to promote a positive community. Describe how you would contribute to RP as a part of the Gamemaster team: I would, in a more in-depth manner, communicate with leadership within the community and be a reflection of their criticism of the GM team, and be the change I want to see in the sever. Explain your single most creative idea for contributing to the RP environment of the server: I would give RP based factions things to do, not only in my off-worlds, but through passive RP, on-worlds, trainings, and missions. Please list and explain 5 unique event ideas of any scale: [Aim to write at least 1 paragraph (~4 sentences) per event idea, anything less is most likely not detailed enough. Be sure to include any additional context that may be necessary to your explanation.] EVENT 1 My first event is a tried and true template that can easily be molded around server pop and currently present factions, and is really a general formula more than anything. The 34th is informed of a CIS/Trade fed/Pirate Compound (Changing of factions would be able to break monotony and would be as easy as switching the names and models of NPCs/ECs) and are ordered to cease operations in said location. This same principle can be altered easily to cater to certain factions Examples include: The introduction of an HVT in the presence of CG or SOB that could have a kill/ Capture order. The compound could be a drug/ bio weapon facility, and could facilitate the collection of info by ENG, MED, or could even require the intervention by EOD, this can but does not have to play into the presence of an HVT. If a large quantity of Jedi are on, (or could perhaps be gotten on by prior notice of Jedi command) the leader of the enemy faction could be/allied to a dark force user, or could be in the possession of dark force artifacts. If a large amount of vehicle based factions are on (19th AW, 327th, DU, etc.), the opposing force could necessitate the use of said vehicles. The compound could be a enemy communications outpost that can set up an overarching story. This basic layout can be used for low pop/ high pop, a plethora of assists, or even the lack thereof. This can also easily have ECs implanted in it to create a more compelling story, after all no story is complete without player interaction. This formula can also be applied to MOST maps within our rotation. EVENT 2 My second event is using the venator yippe, this idea is far more structured than the last. The 34th is tasked with the safe escort of a damaged republic-allied vessel to a republic-allied ship yard. This event would require higher server pop as well as probably 2 or 3 assists, probably one or two ECs Partway through the journey, and after some light navy RP, A cis Providence as well as 2 Muni escorts would jump into the system (One would be put next to the damaged vessel) and the other would be put above the venator (for the purpose of acting as a launching platform for a CIS attack on the venator). Pilots at this point will be encouraged to get in the air and dogfight and bomb the Munis. After a minute of fighting the damaged vessel will explode (most likely with a joe bomb), and the captain a=of the damaged vessel, and 1-2 other ECs, will be rushed on board the venator for some sort of major life saving surgery. During this time a window will open up for the 34th to board the enemy providence and eliminate the Tac droid at it's helm. The event will continue after the escort ends allowing some passive RP. EVENT 3 Time for something a little more RP focused and meant for 15-20 active players. This event can really take place on any urban map. The 34th is informed that some local republic officials in a nearby system are having trouble keeping the peace with a local faction. The 34th must deal with this local faction trying to work out a deal between them and the officials. The leader of this faction will be largely cooperative with the republic, however his right hand man will be very combative and creating most of the problems within the negotiations. While said negotiations are happening a third party will appear and will begin to engage the republic in fierce combat. Running out of time the officials will ask the republic to look into the right hand mans house, at which point it will be discovered that the right hand man is colluding with the insurgent faction, if confronted with this information the right hand man will attack the 34th. The right hand man's death will allow negotiations to finish smoothly and the mission will end. This off-world wouldn't really require too many assists due to it's simple nature, it would be more carried by 4 to 5 ECs driving the narrative. This off-world could also be modified by adding some bombs planted around the AO if sufficient EOD are present. EVENT 4 My fourth event will be a more RP focused on-world. The 34th will be made aware that the Anaxes base will be used as a sort of neutral ground for two warring factions to negotiate and that they must prepare for their arrival. Shortly after both envoys will arrive and be escorted to the site of the negotiations (most likely NCC). Both envoys will be very hostile and negotiations will break down very quickly and one of them will then suicide bomb the venue. For this negotiation to work it will be overseen by one navy, who will be in on the plot of the event, and supporting units who will not be in on it, this role would most likely fall to CG. Once the bombing takes place the base will be put on alert and a base wide effort must be made to get through the rubble and save the life of the navy and the VIPs. If they are able to extract the VIPs and the navy they will then have to preform difficult MedRP to save their lives. At the same time ENG must work to make repairs to the structure of NCC as well as some electronics. EOD will also be present putting out the many fires the bombing caused. I could hypothetically do this event on my own but 1 assist would be more than enough to make it run smoothly. This event would also require 2 ECs. EVENT 5 My final event will be another more RP focused on-world this one placing a much larger emphasis on MedRP The 34th will receive a mysterious distress signal over open comms, and shortly after a vessel will crash just past the runway. Upon investigation they will find several corpses covered in large black boils if the proper precautions are not taken the virus will spread very quickly across the base resulting in a mass quarantine, and the event will turn into a race against the clock to find a cure. If proper precautions are taken however and no one is infected by the virus the event will be more of an investigation and trying to uncover the story of what happened to the crew. This event could be a good chance for some great RP but the players involved will only get out what they put into it, potentially making this event not very interesting. This event could need 1-2 assists to handle the several potential lines of RP that could be happening at once. If I can gauge that the player base isn't very interested in the RP then the event will turn into a zombie infestation event where the crashed ship is turned into a sort of hive and the assists are turned into hostile gun toting ECs most likely using "The Flesh" models.
  7. +1 Great app!
  8. +1 Reconfirming refferal. Mare is spectacular would love to have him on the team.
  9. +1 Buford is genuinely one of the most competent and positive people on the server. I would give this man my referral 1 million times over.
  10. -1 While the redone events are good, the AI usage in the first place leaves a very bad taste in my mouth.
  11. +1 Django is consistently a positive member of the community, and this is a good application. Would love to have him on the team!
  12. +1 Would absolutely love to have you on the team!
  13. +1 While yeah your app is sub-par, nothing on it or in game has thrown up any red flags! I think this fella deserves a chance.
  14. +1 This app killed my eyes but, one of the easiest +1s of my life. Agent has been a very positive member of the community and is definitely a long standing member. Would love to have him on the GM team!
  15. +1 While the application leaves a little to be desired, Roomba has been an EC for me on a couple occasions now and I must say he handles his duties in a very professional manner.
  16. +1 Finally Jenta! It would be great to have you on the team!
  17. In-game name: NSCL PO I H. Ulysses Age: 17 SteamID (https://steamid.io/): STEAM_0:0:155611101 Warns: none Timezone: CST Playtime?: | NSCL PO I H. Ulysses has played for 283:07:10. Do you have access to TeamSpeak and a microphone?: YES Do you have the ability to record Garry's Mod videos?:YES Referral(s): (Conway/Daph) Past experiences as a Game Master: None Why should we choose you over other applicants? [minimum 2 paragraphs] I am dedicated to the server, this is shown through my many hours logged on the server and my dedicated service to the Coruscant guard and the Republic Navy. Part of this dedication is a strong motivation to keep the players engaged and coming back for more every day, so that the 34th can continue operating for years to come. I have come to understand the server's culture and I believe this experience will be vital in the role of game master. I have a firm belief that achieving this position will be positive for not only myself but the player base as a whole. One of my favorite parts of the day is stepping into the shoes of H. Ulysses and I want to foster that excitement and passion for new and old players alike. I am always pushing myself and others to be better, and I never settle for the bare minimum. I set very high, almost unrealistic, expectations for myself. I am very open to accepting criticism and I always try very hard to value the opinions and feelings of others. I am no stranger to responsibilities of important positions due to my IRL obligations. I am always accountable for my actions and I always try my hardest to never shift blame and make excuses. Have you ever been banned or punished on any server? Nope, never How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: Pretty much all the time. with three exceptions, being school (8am-4pm) CST, extracurriculars, and work, I only work, on average, 3 days a week, I can provide my schedule weekly if needed. In your own words, what are the responsibilities of a Gamemaster?: I believe the responsibilities of a game master are ensuring that the player base is engaged with the server, to keep the players coming back, and to create engaging and fun trainings and events. Describe how you would contribute to RP as a part of the Gamemaster team: Regular events that engage the different elements of RP and roles on the sever, (EOD, ENG, Medical, Pilots, CG RP, Etc.), and discussions with leads of sub batts and certifications on how to make them feel included and engaged. Explain your single most creative idea for contributing to the RP environment of the server: One of my goals is, using my position as NSCL, to host regular trainings to get RP and even combat focused battalions more comfortable with their taskings. Of course this would be done with the advice, permission, and guidance of each battalion's command, as to keep from stepping on toes, over reaching in my position, and to ensure that the training are effective and engaging. Please list and explain 5 unique event ideas of any scale: [Be sure to include any additional context that may be necessary to your explanation] (On-world) It would start as a normal base attack from the CIS with regular communication from a named CIS commander EC. The attack would begin as a probing of the Anaxes' defenses, and would progress into a full assault, with enemy armor, fighters, bombers and gunships, prompting an all out battle with tanks and fighters. After a good sized back and forth defensive battle, the CIS would fall back and reinforce their holdings in the FOB's. With a gunship and a platoon of B2s and an (EC) BX holding Olympus, the BX would have a back and forth with the CIS commander about the progress of the clone counter attack, until it's or the CIS commander's death. Another group of CIS would hold a position in atlas with a less important role serving more as a buffer between Athena and the Anaxes base, only holding one or two platoons of B1s, and receiving very little pod reinforcements and tank support. The last and most difficult hurdle in the 34th's victory would be Athena. which would have, on the outside, about a platoon or two of B2's on the ground and ground floor, and would have a squad of sniper BXs divided between the landing pad and roof. Throughout the interior of Athena you would have a balance of B1s, B2s, and BXs, with B2s and BXs becoming more prominent closer to the CIS commander. Athena would have a solid amount of tank, air, and pod support. Moving on to the CIS commander, he has a ship on the landing pad which he will use to escape if the 34th hasn't established air superiority or destroyed the ship, once he has escaped there will still be a good sized window for the 34th to take him out of the sky and eliminate him. If he is denied the option of escape he can be captured or killed, he will not fight back if he is not in the air, at which point he can be taken back to the base with little resistance, and be interrogated for information regarding his attack and his General's plans. Also once the 34th gets close to his position he will arm a bomb, located in which the room he is found, which is to be diffused by EOD within fifteen minutes, if escape has not been denied he will still arm the bomb before he takes off. Also in the room he is found there will be a terminal that can be accessed by ENGs for extra information, and the information he would have given when interrogated, just incase he was killed. The terminal, or the commander, will reveal an imminent attack on Kamino, with Rishi moon as its staging point, This information will prompt a briefing by the OD of the base attack, at which point the 34th will board the Venator to prevent the imminent attack. This on world transitions to and off world (detailed below). (Venator between the on world mentioned above and the off world detailed after this) Once the Venator has reached the orbit of RIshi Moon, they will be met by a providence that is carrying the CIS general leading the operation. The 34th's objective at this point is to destroy the providence and kill the CIS general before he can escape to the moon's surface. If the 34th can't destroy the providence within 20-30 minutes the CIS general will escape, and they will have to deal with him on the moon's surface. As far as combat on the Venator and in space goes, it would be pretty standard with regular pod reinforcements and fighters in the air. I would chose not to use bombers as they have a tendency to be aggravating and just not be fun to fight against. The providence would also be actively firing at the Venator and Engineers would be given a fair amount of RP to keep the ship in they sky. The Venator will have the ability to be critically damaged, and that would cause fires to appear around and explosions to happen inside the Venator. The CIS general would be actively taunting the 34th in open comms, and commanding the CIS forces in enemy comms. After the battle the 34th would land and begin their ground operation. (The off world) In terms of equipment the 34th would have access to jetpacks and grappling hooks, and anything they brought from the Anaxes base, they would also have fleet support and would be able to request ammo drops, replacement vehicles, ETC. Once the 34th has landed, the 41st would do recon finding small FOBs and the central compound. (I would not use the Jedi temple on the rishi moon map as it would be hard to incorporate into the story of the event). The FOBs would be a few small buildings containing some B1s and wouldn't serve any real purpose besides making the map feel more lived in and giving the troopers something to do while exploring the map. The main compound would have B1s lining the walls and spread out through most of the compound. However closer to the main compounds B2s would be mixed in to provide a more dynamic combat experience. Within the main building the B2s and B1s would almost be completely fazed out in favor of BXs. The CIS will have a solid amount of tank support but not very much air support as I want the event to be very ground and tank focused. The General and/or the commander can be here if the 34th failed to deal with them earlier. If only one of them are present the surviving EC wont do much else besides calling pod reinforcements. If both of them have been killed then there will be a tactical droid that serves the same purpose, just with a lot less personality. If both of them are present, the General will be active in enemy comms giving orders to the CIS ground force and calling pod reinforcements, and the commander will be given a jetpack and short and long range weapons to harass the ground force, without doing much damage as not to make the situation feel unfair. If the general is present he can be captured and interrogated in which he would hint at at a more sinister plot, the head of the tac droid would serve the same purpose, and if just the commander is present there will be a terminal within the main building that can be interacted with by engineers to get the same information. for the last leg of the off world the last CIS leader, whoever that may be, before they are captured/killed will order the last of the CIS forces to deploy in an effort to wipe out the 34th. The 34th will then have to hold a defensive position in the main compound. After the 34th has gotten the information available, and survived the final CIS assault they will be cleared to evac and the event will conclude. (On world) The Anaxes will receive a briefing from fleet, over the NCC holotable, Stating that a Senator on his way to an outer rim planet leading an important peace delegation was intercepted by the CIS, and that the senator will be arriving shortly along with a CIS tail. The senator will arrive shortly after the call is concluded, and not long after, a CIS assault complete with enemy tanks, air support, and infantry. There will also be regular infiltrations by BXs in an attempt to kill the senator. The security and defensive capabilities of the 34th will be tested with an unforgiving and difficult CIS assault. If they senator makes it through alive he will thank the 34th profusely leave the planet and continue with his peace delegation. (Off world) The Anaxes base gets a call from fleet tasking the 34th to respond to a distress signal on a remote planet, he then goes on to say that scans of the area from which the distress call originated seems urban, meaning that vehicles wont be able to be used, but jetpacks and grappling hooks are permitted, he then goes on to say that due to the urban nature of the are there could be a civilian presence and humanitarian aid and evacuation is top priority. Once the ground force makes it onto the surface of the planet the 41st are tasked with doing a quick recon of the area to asses the situation. The 41st does find civilians but the area seems a little too sparsely populated, and there seems to be no immediate threat. The ground force then moves into the town on high alert to try to figure out the problem and where the distress call originated from. After a couple minutes of searching they find the distress beacon. Soon after the venator over head detects a Providence coming out of hyperspace, and pods begin dropping surround the ground force, the ground force slowly fights its way back to the LZ for evac with heavy resistance along the way. Once the LZ is reached the ground force will board the LAATs and make a narrow escape back to the Anaxes base.
