-1 to this, but please read.

If we're going to go this in depth to crouch jumping, and how it's allowed and not allowed, it should should be just disallowed altogether.

This is one of those potential rules that will difficult to enforce, and will be frustrating for both  players and staff.

Again, if we're going down this route, just disallow crouch jumping altogether, preferably with a grace period.

Crouch jumping is an integral part of all Source games, and is a main component of movement across all platforms. What is being suggested here is to enforce a rule against using the crouch-while-jumping glitch to your advantage while in combat. MEANING: You can crouch jump in combat if you are using the movement to elevate yourself to a higher plane, (ie: jumping on a box or some shit). What someone could NOT do if this were enforced would be an example from either one of the clips provided. One can break their hitbox up to 4 TIMES in one jump without losing momentum. With a script, you can bind a key to break your hitbox, and it has been done on this server, and may even still be done (I haven't been on in 2 weeks)

    But stamina worked

Correction, it cut the server's playerbase in half for a month.

The problem with this being enforced as exploiting is exploiting follows this road map, Verbal Warn —> Warn —> Perma Ban, so something as simple as this being considered exploiting where there is a possibility of it being an accident could cause major problems down the line seeing as a vast majority of the player base ( Both US & RU ) still do this, and we wouldn’t want permas flying out left and right for this. ( I know you addressed accidents in your post but the rule was initially made to be FRP)  @Dan Gardner

With a protocol like that, it would take someone two warnings before they get banned. For anyone with a brain, this is plenty.

Think about fast-fire, just because some people do it out of combat doesn't mean its okay for them to do it in combat, even accidentally. This is even more of a game breaking glitch as it literally makes the hitbox have a seizure, causing the person shooting at them to ultimately miss 75% of their shot attempts. This is INSANELY unfair. I don't see why people don't put this under the same light as fast-fire.

  3. This is the reason I stopped playing MilitaryRP. So I won't give my official +/- as it would be biased. I will say that enforcing this rule will have to be based on video evidence ONLY. There is no way to prove the rule had been broken without this, so there would be no way to enforce it effectively without said evidence. I would also like this to be enforced as Exploiting, so I would say evidence would need to include the player using this glitch to their advantage at least two times in five seconds, to avoid accidental key-presses from being seen as a perm-bannable offense.

Also another thing I'm worried about is if this becomes a rule will older clips get me punished?

Basic protocol is you can't be convicted for breaking a rule before it exists, that'd just be silly.

i'm split. i have seen you on the server. but not for long, or when i see you on you're afk. but when you are playing you're respectable in chat and very friendly.  with the statement you made of the 5x lacking mods. there are now 3 admins and 2 mods for the 5x witch in my opinion is a good number. also for you saying you work 40 hours a week that leaves you with 128 hours of play time potentially and i've seen you active maybe 20-30 in the week. i would advise you to devote some more time into playing the server and getting to know the community a bit more. i personally have never spoke to you besides in game once. and never in TS. as for 2 weeks on the server is hardly enough to gain with the community and learn how it runs smoothly and efficiently .

Only for the time being, its is very close to changing!

Dude. Stop -1ing all posts. The points you brought up here are cringe.

I've played with FiNESSE several times on several servers and I can say he can be trusted with chat mod. He's plays honest and fair, and is always helpful in chat whenever possible. Big +1

Also @Bypasser_ there are several screenshots that YOU have posted that have FiNESSE typing in chat.

lets start off with "  2 Paragraphs is a bit much" its not optional its a requirement and leading to this you said you're 32. This Manor of behavior dose not suit a 32 year old let alone a 12 year old. i would seriously reconsider apply for staff. as i have seen you're name in chat recently. has not been in good ways.

    Very Unlikely to change

I'd like to counter this statement, I don't think its is quite necessary for someone to type an entire 2 paragraphs to get chat mod on the Rust servers.

I have seen you active, and always respectable and helpful in chat. +1

  6. Sorry, I was going to defend you but you decided to be toxic to my Moderator for giving criticism. Even if the criticism is wrong, you should reply in a respectable manner, not comment on their age or ignorance. We expect staff to be above arguments like this, that way their judgement isn't impaired when making staff-related decisions.

-1, try again once you've smoothed things over with involved parties.

  7. Description: DarkRP has VIP, which allows users who bought the perk to use jobs not allowed by default. What I am suggesting is a new VIP feature for MRP, which would allow a user to use a random gun throughout the course of a month, with the option to purchase the weapon at a 15-20% discount. Feel free to suggest additional features below, I will add the ones that make the most sense.

Reasoning: It would be very simple to code, and would add extra revenue possibilities for the server.

Transaction ID: Sorry I don't have access to one. 😞

    M60 (Package) 2020-02-26 17:03:32

If you have access to the PayPal account that purchased this package you can provide the Transaction ID by following these steps:

    1. Sign into PayPal
    2.  Go to the Activity Tab
    3. Select your transaction (Identifiable by the Recipient "Garnet Gaming")
    4. On the left column, provide the Transaction ID listed.

If you still need help, reply back. If this was gifted to you, I doubt a transaction change will be accepted.

  9. Your application is very good but as Bypasser said, you have not been in the community very long. Giving someone this rank requires trust, and it takes time to build. Use /s to find your hours in game, and once they are above 48, your application should be able to receive more positive responses as people may know you better at that point.

-1 for now, see how you enjoy the community as a player before jumping to staff. I recommend going on the Teamspeak to find people to team with/talk to while playing or just chilling.

  10. In-game name: iiiiiiiiiiiiiiit's dan
    Age: 20
    SteamID (https://steamid.io/): STEAM_1:1:8821501
    Timezone: EST
How long have you been a part of the community?: Several years, been playing Rust 5x for 6 months, 15+ active wipes
Do you have access to TeamSpeak and a microphone?: Yes
Do you have the ability to screen-record while playing on Rust?: Yes
        Referral(s): Wasdin (XD)
Past experiences as staff: Current 5x Moderator, former MRP H. Mod

Why should we choose you over other applicants? : In my time as Moderator for the 5x server, I hope that I have shown I am a trustworthy and effective staff member. Achieving this rank will not only make me more effective but more motivated to do my job well, as I will have the necessary tools to catch any rule breakers in the act. I am organized and gather proof constantly, making it so rule breakers are caught at all costs. I have been told I'm one of the more friendly players on the server, and I will always help new and old players alike if the opportunity presents itself. Throughout my time as moderator, I have bounced around the server, teaming with as many different people as possible to ensure all players are having a fair and balanced experience when on the server.

If accepted, I will no longer be playing on the 5x except to administrate, and will be moving to the 2x for general play.

Have you made any previous applications, If so when?: My last app for moderator was accepted in December
How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: I have averaged 2-3 hours on the server per day when active
If you have any, what hobbies or activities are you involved in outside of Rust?: I work in IT full-time and study for additional certifications in my free time

@Garnet are players able to get a Custom chat channel like on TS or will that not be allowed?

That would get extremely excessive with the amount on the TS server right now, but I'm sure adding the channels won't be that hard.

I'll put my piece here as I have not yet,

    Pros:

    - Discord is more popular with the overall gaming community, making it a viable choice for gamers to have an easier experience getting connected with the community
    - Discord is more user-friendly (easier, more simplified permissions)
    - DiScOrD iS FrEe

    Cons:

    - Discord does not have the ability to include a description with a channel, a mechanic almost EVERY MRP and personal channel utilizes.
    - Discord roles do not get icons
    - Discord is easier to DDoS
    - Public Discords can get raided by ANYONE
    - Locked channels would require a separate role in order to allow entry, meaning if the owner of the channel isn't there, (or someone they trust enough to give channel mod), there's no way for them to enter the channel except getting moved
    - Say goodbye to pokes, the only way you can get a hold of someone directly is by PMing them, and if they have permissions set, they have to have you added as a friend to accept messages

That's just what I came up with on the spot, may add more later.

  12. Do /s to find your total playtime. The 150 hours you claim to have would be very impressive as the 2x has been very inactive up until recently. Join the TS so you can get to know people as well.

Other than that, your application is good and you seem like a genuine person. +1 Good Luck!

  13. 2 wipes isn't QUITE enough time to learn a server and its community. I recommend staying active, and finding friends in the Teamspeak and Discord so you can grow your understanding for the community. Good luck!

  14. Did you think if you removed the "[minimum 2 paragraphs]" and no one would notice? Personally for someone your age (allegedly), I would have even accepted 2 sentences, as any time spent getting a chat moderator position on a video game when you're 30 is just wasted time, in my opinion.

Tacking that on the fact I've never seen you in game or in chat, or trying to make a difference in the community at all (this is your only post) I'm going to slap a fat -1 on this. Get more known, add maybe more than 3 words to the most important part of the application, and I might reconsider. If you get good feedback from other players that might know you, that also might make a difference.
