  1. Who are you reporting? [Player]: PreacherYour in-game name: MiltonYour SteamID (https://steamid.io/): STEAM_0:0:50072294In-game name of reportee: PreacherSteamID of reportee (https://steamid.io/): STEAM_0:0:428724609Date & Time of incident: 06 : 26 : 46 10/25/2019Timezone: PSTWhat happened? (include any proof): Intentional MassRDM. As a US Cachet he ran into RU base and Massed Simone, Im Dream, and Pizza parker. Here's a screenie of the logs I took in the Sit room. https://imgur.com/a/pUwEOgu EDIT: Gildarts has already banned the player in the report for two weeks. This report can be locked and accepted at this point.
  2. I've personally asked Gildarts why we don't have access to spectate the people we believe are hacking, and he gave a multitude of good reasons as to why it is. 1.) A system like that would be easy to abuse in that we could spectate any player anytime that we wanted to, and I imagine not everyone knows what to look for when spectating a hacker, therefore people get banned for just being good at the game. 2.) The higher staff have a very special way of catching script kiddies in action, and there's a good reason they won't share videos on how they do it or tell us how they do it. They like to keep it a close guarded secret. I know from talking with Gildarts that he has a very specific way that he catches people hacking, and he doesn't get caught watching them. Imagine how many people would though if they were given spectate. And then our method of catching hackers is found out and avoidable. 3.) To me honestly, it seems like if the lower staff were to get those abilities then a lot of us would be removed from staff for incompetency or something along those lines. Not that we are incompetent, but the more people that know about the system, the more likely they are to fuck it up and expose, or abuse the system. We don't need to spectate. We handle Mass, RDM, FailRP, and basically uphold the rules of the server to the best of our ability. I say leave the Hackers to Gildarts and co.
  3. Dude's got a lot of hours, He's pretty well known (from what i've seen), He's working to pull frogmen back into the game, AND he's super charismatic. He's also got a lot of time he's able to put into being staff. Good app, good guy, +1

    Draco Staff App

+1 Because he's chill as all hell, I've seen him actively trying to help the lower enlisted in RU, and he's got a solid goal for the server. Would be pretty nice to see Draco on staff. Huh. Really? Dunno if that dignifies a -1. I'd at least be neutral if it was something I was worried about, but like... -1 is kinda harsh for the reason you're giving it.
  5. Was genuinely happy when this guy made SSO because he's got such a great vibe to him, he's mature, he's chill and level headed. Every time i've ran into D Rose or talked to him, it's been a good laugh or a good conversation. Would love to see D Rose on staff. +1 From me
  6. Prince is absolutely one of the best on US if you are looking for mature, level headed, and knowledgeable. Genuinely had no idea he was 15 until I saw this app since as others have said, He acts far more mature than any 15 year old i've ever met. The times ive ran into him whether it was during war or during peace, he's always respectful and cool to hang out with. He has a solid vision for what he wants to bring to the staff team, and I could just imagine how dedicated he'd be to seeing that vision through. Definite +1 from me.
  7. Seems like you have a lot of experience in various staffing you've done over time. So that's pretty good as a start. Although your plan to benefit the server leaves a lot to be desired as it focuses around what you SHOULD do as staff anyways, and not something unique or an idea you have to truly benefit the server. It's also pretty short, so I'd definitely give that an edit if I were you. I've also not met or seen you in game other than kill feeds during war. And I strongly recommend that you sort out the lag when recording because it's pretty important you're able to take video evidence of things as staff. EDIT: So I had made a post before saying that I'd be neutral in the app until community weigh in, and the community has indeed weighed in on it. I honestly don't even see you on that much. I mean, you PM'd me in game a little while after I responded to your staff app here. But since then I haven't seen you on or even trying to get known. Personally I feel for ya because I had the same struggle with my app, I wasn't very well known. But I went out of my way to start posting on forums more, talking to both RU and US members when I could, and generally trying to show people I'm someone they can have fun with, but depend on when things get serious. I haven't seen any of that from you yet. So unfortunately im gonna -1 this. Get better known within the community is my advice.
  8. I remember screaming into teamspeak at times when you killed me... Good times those. Good luck with whatever the future holds for you my guy. Are you doing the wrong thing? Absolutely not. It's just that sometime's... Goodbye's are a b****. ^^^Totally not my quote btw.^^^
  9. You've got some mixed reviews here and there from people I've spoken to. Personally though I have actually gotten to talk to you and we haven't had any bad experiences and managed to have a pretty chill conversation on TS with a couple of the other GRU members. I read through your application while making mine as an example of what a good application can be so I like that. You're a pretty good player and you've got name recognition and play time to back it all up! Overall I'm gonna say +1! Hopefully we get to talk more down the line! We've also been on the same team in a couple of Open sims and I always had a blast with ya.
  10. Haven't had the pleasure of meeting you and having a chat to see what you're all about. I'd refine your application a bit if I were you. Maybe add to your Benefit plan, Remove some of the unecessary bits from the format (ex. [minimum 2 paragraphs]) just to make it looks nicer. Gonna wait til you edit the app a bit, and wait for other members of the community to vouche. Hope to see you on the field!
  11. No you're definitely right in that it is a Battle Rifle, but it isn't being used as such. The playstyle behind the M14 currently is something akin to Call of Duty. It fosters a low time to kill, and encourages running all over an Obj and almost insta killing anyone you see. And I know full and well that the server wasn't made the way it is to have CoD like mechanics implemented. Removing the full auto doesn't destroy the gun, but changes it's playstyle to something like a mid to long range engagement DMR rather than what equates to a projectile slinging chainsaw.
  12. Description: As many people in the MRP server may have noticed by now, the M14 EBR is a ridiculously powerful gun. I've heard arguments that it is a low skill weapon, and also arguments that the recoil and spread actually give it some level of skill to get good with. I was thinking about it last night and was wondering how it could be balanced in a way that doesn't absolutely sink the weapon, while also balancing it out. Personally, I don't agree with the way it is able to be used. It's essentially a 2 shot kill to the body DMR with an automatic fire mode. I'd understand the 2 shot kill if it was JUST a DMR, but frequently in EMB only wars where it is close quarter, the EBR is in use on full auto and melting anything it comes into contact with. Reasoning: My suggestion as to how it can be balanced is by removing the ability to use it in an automatic mode. I've been able to use it effectively in close quarters (at EMB), and at long range as a DMR with just the semi-auto option. I do this personally because I like to be more accurate with my shots. And it is still super effective! The only downside is that you actually NEED to aim properly to hit those shots, which in my opinion is a far better playstyle for this weapon anyways. I say remove automatic from it because that effectively changes the playstyle of the weapon without tanking it's damage and viability as a whole. This would basically either force people to use another weapon better suited for close quarters (m3 Super 90, MP5, Etc.) while maintaining the power of the weapon. The M14 in it's current state reminds me of CoD in a way. Running around the OBJ, killing anyone you see first without them being able to react in the slightest, it really fosters that run and gun gameplay that I never imagined GG MRP was going for. UPDATE: Figure I should add an example of what I think the weapon should be used like. If you've ever played the halo games from 2-current, you'll notice the DMR and BR are used for mid range to long range engagements (aside from game modes like swat where the DMR/BR are the only weapons you can use). You'll hardly ever see someone using a DMR/BR charge at someone using the AR because they'd be at a huge disadvantage (this disadvantage isn't as bad when you become a god with the DMR or BR, but someone competent enough with the AR will usually win). So instead, players that prefer to use the DMR/BR opt for mid range to long range engagements that they will usually win. I know halo and GG MRP are far apart in terms of mechanics, but the ideal playstyle for the EBR should be that mid to long range game. And if you are good enough with it you can land your shots pretty effectively. You'd be at a disadvantage when using it close range due to it's low fire rate/semi auto. However you'd have the upper hand in every other engagement (aside from a good sniper). This is the playstyle that I feel would bring it down in close quarters, but keep what makes it good at range. This is however the first weapon balance suggestion i've ever made. I'd love to hear what other people think.
  13. First of all I'd like to preface my application by saying that I know not a lot of people have heard about me or know who I am on the server. With that said I have been trying to meet more people on the server, and most importantly make new friends. I am also aware that my hours played on the server are relatively low compared to some of the other people that have submitted their applications. In-game name: Milton Age : 21 Years SteamID : STEAM_0:0:50072294 Warns: None Timezone: PDT/ Pacific Daylight Time/ GMT-7 Playtime? : | GRU SGT Milton has played for 130:20:33. Do you have access to TeamSpeak and a microphone?: Yes Do you have the ability to record Garry's Mod videos?: Yes Referral(s): Jim Trash, BatHulkSmash> @GoogleBot2Point0 Past experiences as staff: Have never been Staff on a GMOD server, I was however an admin of a handful of lower player count Minecraft servers when I was like 14-16 How do you plan on benefiting our server?: My plan for benefiting the server would be to work hard with the other Staff members to ensure that the server is at it's best 100% of the time. However on the flip-side, there are several times where there is no staff on at times that I play. And those are what I like to call "real minge hours". This is the time of night where there might be 1-2 recruiter's on either RU side or US side. At this time there are also a suprising amount of Recruits that show up wanting to join the server, and so a recruiter will train and give them their whitelists, and after that is when all manner of hell breaks loose. They minge, they RDM, Even Mass in some cases. And there is nobody on that is equipped to deal with it short of removal of whitelists by their recruiter. Part of my plan would be to be that Staff member that CAN help during "real minge hours". I think of it like graveyard shift at a gas station or something alike. I've also been really inspired to help this community in any way I can based on the work i've seen @GoogleBot2Point0 and @JoeBudden do when they are needed. They've handled a lot of cases of RDM that i've brought to them, and have basically made a lasting impression on me that makes me care for the work they do to keep the community from falling into Mass RDM and Minge fest. I wasn't going to submit this application because I thought that my low play-time and unknown face would get me laughed at. But I saw Joe handling at least 6 cases of RDM when a group of PVT's were Massing the other night, and I just felt like I could have done something to help take some of that work load off of him if I had tried to become staff. That is my plan. To work hard with the people I care about, people I would say are good friends of mine on this server to keep the community well oiled and functional. To be present when other staff members are worn out from their busy days and solve the problems like my peers would, with a calm head, a fair and non-biased position, and professionalism. And most importantly, to uphold the rules of a server I've come to enjoy, for the people that enjoy it like I do. Have you ever been banned or punished on GG MRP?: I haven't been on the receiving end of a Ban, Jail, or Warning so no. Have you made any previous applications, If so when?: No How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: I am currently attending community college, but my classes are scheduled in a way that I have from the time I wake up (usually around 7-8 am) and the time I go to class everyday (5pm - 9pm). And even then I'll usually come onto the server and hang out for a bit even when the player numbers are low. So I have a good chunk of time every day that I can contribute! To end my application, I'd like to say thank you to anyone that reviews it or even comments on it. -1 or +1 I appreciate the time you took to give my application a look, and see who I am and what I am all about.
