Why should we choose you over other applicants?
I believe that my experience speaks for itself. I have been in the Garnet Gaming Community for over 4 years and have seen what works on each server. From seeing the events back in 2020 all the way to 2024, I believe I can provide enjoyable events that have been tested over the years as well as think creatively for new event ideas. Along with this, after being a GM 3 times on SWRP and once on MRP I am not only able to think of new unique events but execute them well with good pacing, enjoyable roleplay experiences, and a good balance of combat and roleplay. My experience allows me to be a good team player in the GM team to help assist other GMs as well as give pointers and any event help that lesser-experienced GMs may need or want with any event.

From this, I believe that I have proven myself as a reliable and competent Gamemaster in every position I have been in. I have never been demoted or punished as a GM and have always met the expectations that have been in front of me. Competency when planning events is needed to ensure that the event runs smoothly and to ensure pacing so players cannot speedrun any event but take time to work through and complete the mission. Lastly, I will make sure that roleplay is not only fun for the player base, but also in line with lore and ensure it makes sense in the SW universe. With all of this together, I have been able to and will be able to create enjoyable roleplay-oriented events for the server as well as keep the server entertained during downtime or for more small-scale on-world events.

Have you ever been banned or punished on any server? If so, Include details: N/A
How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: Several hours a week.

In your own words, what are the responsibilities of a Gamemaster?: To provide entertaining and enjoyable roleplay scenarios for the community.

Describe how you would contribute to RP as a part of the Gamemaster team: I would contribute by putting deep thought into each event for any roleplay scenarios, integrating lore into events, and creating stories/campaigns for the server.

Explain your single most creative idea for contributing to the RP environment of the server: I believe something that is quite overlooked by GMs is integrating things from lore and in-depth RP scenarios for the server. I would contribute by providing this.

Please list and explain 5 unique event ideas of any scale:

    1. Sandstorm Skirmish - (Large Scale Off-World)
    rp_geonosian_canyons
In the ever-expanding war with the CIS, the 19th Battlegroup led by Rear Admiral Finon Honall is on assignment on Geonosis breaking through the canyons of a Geonosian stronghold. As they push forward, they are stretched thin, and the GAR calls upon the 34th Battlegroup to assist in retrieving crates full of ammunition and rations for the 19th Battlegroup that were shot down a few rotations ago. The 34th Battlegroup is assigned to find and retrieve this important cargo and bring it to the rendezvous to allow the 19th Battlegroup to continue their mission. The 34th arrive and are split up into 3 teams. Squads one and two are assigned with exploring the deep canyons and finding and retrieving the cargo. While the 3rd squad comprised of SOB and ARC Troopers are assigned to locate and destroy the AA turret that continued to lay down blaster fire on incoming Republic Shuttles. As they move out the groups are ambushed by droids that are on the flank of the 19th to attempt to bring their assault to a halt. The 34th is assigned to destroy any flanking CIS and to retrieve the cargo. As they fight through, they retrieve the cargo, find consoles, are continually ambushed, and find Clones still alive left behind by the 19th Battlegroup. Squad 3 completes their mission by destroying the AA Turret, all cargo is retrieved, and all traces of CIS combatants in the sector are taken care of. The Troopers retrieved from the 19th Battlegroup are medically treated and returned home to their respective battalions.

    2. Operation Silent Strike - (SOB + Battalion ARC On-World)
    CIS Anaxes
After a short yet stealthy reconnaissance mission from SOB, intel suggests that CIS Commander Xerius Ugg was rumored to be spotted on the planet checking up on the CIS’ progress on the planet of Anaxes. The 34th Battlegroup calls all SOB and Battalion ARC Troopers to the NCC and is prompted to devise and execute a plan to assassinate the famed CIS Commander, Xerius Ugg. Clones can approach this however they would like. However, I would allow them to conduct their plan. If they attempt to be stealthy, I will eventually make them get caught. They would then have to engage a wave of tanky Elite B-2 Battle Droids as well as Commando Droid Snipers in hidden locations. If they attempt to simply push towards the FOB and kill him, they will have a much tougher time reaching the Commander. Either way, they will face barricades, land mines, and consoles with intelligence that they can retrieve, as well as have opportunities to sabotage future CIS advancements through planting explosives that will be provided at the beginning of the mission. Once the Commander is reached and executed, they will have to clear holes through heavy CIS contact to escape and return to Anaxes unscathed.
(Other info: Comms will be jammed for the event, proximity chat only. Droids will be on high HP and high difficulty).

    3. Unified Front - (Large Scale Off-World
    rp_balarikan (Balmorra)
On a quiet day on the planet of Anaxes, the NCC Holotable rings. After answering it, the 34th Battlegroup is greeted by Fleet LT Gemar who has an assignment from the Fleet. According to Republic Intelligence, the CIS has reclaimed sector 7 of the planet of Balmorra which has been an unoccupied zone for the majority of the war. After the 9th Battlegroup lost hold of the area, the 34th Battlegroup was assigned to retrieve intelligence and retake the sector for the 9th Battlegroup to step in and hold it down after the mission's completion. Battalions will be split up for specific assignments.
501st and 212th: Reach the CIS Command Center, reclaim it, and retrieve any CIS intelligence that can be found there.
327th & SOB: Locate the CIS Databank. Heavily guarded by CIS forces to retrieve a prototype that Republic Intelligence caught wind of.
104th & CG: Locate the whereabouts of a CIS prison on-planet. Multiple clones and a Navy Crewman are alleged to be held captive. Retrieve all clones, and clear out CIS Forces. (Possible hostage-negotiation)
41st: Assist 501st and 212th, then destroy the CIS supply cache on base.
Once all objectives are complete, all forces will RTB and return to Anaxes.

    4. Operation Urban Freedom - (Small Scaled Off-World)
    rp_destroyedcity_final
After a devastating attack on a small city on the planet of Troithe, the 34th Battlegroup is called upon once again by Fleet LT Gemar to head to the planet and clear out a small group of CIS Forces that have wreaked havoc in a small city. The clones are warned that there is a heavy presence of civilians in the area and that medics will be providing aid to those whom they can. A medical tent will be set up at the LZ to bring injured civilians and treat their wounds. The clones must navigate through the civilians, destroy the small CIS FOB, and clear out any remaining droids. Once all CIS are cleared out of the area, they will hand over the rest to the local military to deal with the destroyed sector of the city.

    5. Signal Silence - (Heavy ENG RP Small Scale On-World/Base Attack)
    Anaxes
Following a small CIS base attack, the 34th Battlegroup realizes that their comms is malfunctioning and must be being jammed by something on the planet. After organizing a patrol, a group of clones head out on a patrol and find a small amount of CIS contact at each FOB along with commando droids. As they clear them out and search the FOB they find 3 unique jammers that are hardwired into each FOB. Engineers are called upon to deal with the problem. They are faced with a multitude of issues such as their data pads being overloaded when they attempt to connect them, the jammers being made of a heavily plated durasteel, unable to be broken by blaster fire or weapons, and waves of firewalls that are attempting to lock out any Engineers solving this issue. As the clones try to figure this out, the CIS ambushes the base to destroy the already vulnerable clones. The Clones push back but a small force of Commando droids can get into the base causing more issues for the clones. Once engineers eventually solve the issue, the comms will be online and the 34th Battlegroup will push back the remaining CIS forces back into CIS-controlled Anaxes.

Past experiences as a Game Master: [Optional] MRP Gamemaster x2, MRP Admin, SWRP Gamemaster x2, SWRP Admin.

Why should we choose you over other applicants? [minimum 2 paragraphs]

I believe that I have greatly contributed to RP as a whole on both SWRP and MRP in the past not just as a GM, but also as a player. I have always strived to ensure that people are having a good RP experience and even outside of roleplay just enjoy their stay in our community. I have actively played Garnet servers for coming up on 3 years now and have enjoyed my stay in both role playing and interacting with the people within the community. Another trait that I believe will be important to have and use as a GM is the ability to adapt to situations. There should of course always be a general layout of an event but one should be able to accommodate for anything that could go wrong and or not to plan within the event and I should be able to adapt and let people do their thing within the roleplay scenario. With my experience on SWRP and MRP in the past few years, I believe I can use my ability to adapt to create enjoyable RP events for the players of SWRP.

Along with this, I believe that I can be quite versatile in my GMing abilities. I can work with very experienced roleplayers or I can work with people who have never played on an RP server and still make it enjoyable for them in whatever situation. Along with this, I believe that my ability to be versatile allows players to be creative in how they approach a situation. There will not be a specific path laid out for them so it allows them to be creative on how they approach and deal with the situation. Another reason that I would be a good GM is that I am always looking to improve my events and improve how I may set up events. If people have criticism for my events I always welcome people to come and bring it to my attention so I can keep it in mind for future events. Of course, a lot of trial and error is how we find things that the community enjoys.

Lastly, I believe that my ability to create multi-event arcs can also become very enjoyable for players. I have always enjoyed making multi-event arcs with my fellow GM's in the past and they have always been very successful and from what I have seen, very enjoyable for players. I am very well-versed in Star Wars lore and with that I always like to input things from lore into my events so that people who are nerds like me can enjoy that aspect of the event. Thanks!

Have you ever been banned or punished on any server? If so, Include the details: I have not other than years ago.

How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: Several hours a day.

In your own words, what  are the responsibilities of a Gamemaster?: To provide entertaining and enjoyable roleplay events for the community to enjoy. On top of this, help non-GM players host trainings/tryouts in game.

Describe how you would contribute to RP as a part of the Gamemaster team: I would contribute just as said before by creating long multi-scale events and also to create passiveRP for people during downtime. I believe I can very easily think of creative events on the spot whenever necessary to provide RP to the server as much as possible.

Explain your single most creative idea for contributing to the RP environment of the server: As stated before, I love Star Wars lore and am very well-versed in it. I would contribute by inputting things from SW lore and also creating new lore for new players to enjoy for their characters.

Please list and explain 5 unique event ideas of any scale: [Be sure to include any additional context that may be necessary to your explanation]

    1.
    Map: Monsglacia Crimson (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1790624702)
The Troopers of the 34th Battlegroup are doing their normal duties when they are called to Debrief by Navy. Navy gives the following briefing: “The primary objective of the Republic base in Monsglacia is to get the minerals from the nearby mine which the CIS has taken notice to. A squad of 91st were on a general patrol of the area while the mine was not being operated when they were ambushed and their comms cut out. The forces in Monsglacia are cut too thin to fight off a heavy CIS invasion which is why we were called. Our mission is to recover the squad of 91st, protect the mine, and also protect the civilians who live near the mine and operate it.” They are sent out and arrive on the planet. The troops gather together and begin pushing towards the mines. They must split into 2 teams. One heading to the mines and the other heading to the village to ensure the safety of the civilians. Once they arrive they are met with heavy CIS contact from the mine, the village, and the surrounding mountains. They find a small CIS FOB on the ice lake with tanks, a tactical droid, and heavy CIS forces. They must clear that out and the mine while the other group protects the civilians. Once the FOB is clear the troopers can hack into the terminals, dp MedRP, and extract the info from the tactical droid's head. After all the droids are cleared out the 41st and SOB will continue to patrol around to assure that there are no CIS stragglers left behind. After that is done, they will RTB to Anaxes.

    2.
    Map: Monsilva Crimson (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1346612100)
A distress signal is called from OP Zeta. It had been infiltrated and taken over by CIS forces. As the clones arrive and clear it out they find a datapad left by one of the B1 Commanders. As Engineers hack into it they hack into a private CIS radio channel where the CIS are talking about their fleet heading towards the planet of Monsilva. The 34th Battlegroup swiftly heads off to Monsilva in order to halt the CIS invasion of the planet assisting Even Piell’s fleet. As the clones land they would be granted any vehicles from fleet as necessary to complete the mission. 41st is then sent out to scout the forward area and come across heavy CIS contact they report it in and the main forces group up with the 41st. The forces continue to push forward towards an FOB with a tower with 212th ang 501st leading the charge. Once  they arrive they are greeted by injured civilians with their homes being burnt to the ground along with the power being completely off in the village.. The clones swiftly assist by setting up a medical tent and putting out the fires for the villagers as well as Engineers getting their power back up and working. As the wounded are being attended to the Jedi feel a disturbance in the force feeling as though a danger was approaching. Soon after they are met with drop pods and General Grievous looking to push the clones out of the planet. As the Jedi deal with Grievous the rest of the clones are continuing to push back the remaining forces. After all is clear, General Grievous then A) Retreats and escapes or B) If the Jedi get him to surrender/they beat him in lightsaber combat he would be arrested leading towards a CIS rescue of him on the Venator.

    3.
    Map: Alderaan     (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2723846769)
This event would be more so a lot of passive RP and trainings for the troopers to get off Anaxes for a little while. This map has many training/sim rooms, a large Jedi temple for some sweet Jedi RP to happen and a large forest again for more trainings. Have done this event before and people have gotten very creative with it. Basically, GM’s would be there to set up whatever passiveRP / Trainings that players would want. Market RP with EC’s, Jedi sparring, B&C Trainings, etc. A nice change of pace to just let people be creative and get off Anaxes for a few hours.

    4.
    Medium scale on world.
    Map: Anaxes
The troopers are at base doing their normal duties when a call comes from a nearby village asking for some clone forces to come because they had some information for the troopers. When they arrive they begin speaking with the villagers when they speak of CIS forces coming by and destroying their markets and stealing their food and anything of worth from their homes. The clones then find some tracks of a squad of battle droids leading to OP Aurek. The clones approach and find the Outpost swarmed with CIS forces and tanks. An alarm blares in the outpost as the clones approach and vultures and tri-fighters are sent out to stop Republic reinforcements from approaching. As the clones approach they find that there is a humanoid General leading these droids. As they clear out the outpost, Navy orders that they take the CIS General alive to get information from him. As they arrive Engineers are able to hack into a terminal to get information on what the CIS were doing here. Their objective was simply to: “Hold off Republic forces from the outpost while reinforcements were arriving from the fleet.” As the clones see this they could go a few ways to solve this. A) They force the General to call off the reinforcements B) They RTB and get into defensive positions to stop the reinforcements that are arriving. If option B is taken then a CIS frigate will arrive and the clones will just have to survive a normal old base attack.

    5.
    Small scale on world.
    Map: Anaxes (Forest Arena)
Republic intel suggests that there has been CIS setting up an FOB on the far outskirts of Anaxes. A squad of ARC troopers are sent out to investigate what exactly is going on. They report back that the intel was correct. A CIS force had been gathering on the far outskirts. All available 34th Battlegroup units gear up and head out to the location. They are met with heavy forest with an FOB visible through some brush. The troopers must tread lightly because it is hard to see where they are getting shot from due to the thick vegetation. The troopers are able to push through and reach the FOB. Once they clear it out they are given orders to place charges all around and inside the FOB in order to ensure that the CIS will not be able to use it for any more future endeavors on the planet of Anaxes.

  7. I've known Brian since he was first staff back in 2020 I believe and he was a very solid staff member. Fulfilled his responsibilities and did well, I think he'll make a good fit for GM. Events look alright, could be interesting for players for sure. No doubt he'll do a good job though. +1.

  8. Was staff alongside Funk for a long time and he was a solid staff member, did his job well. On top of that I was in Rangers with him for a good bit and he's very mature, respectful, and I don't doubt he'd do a good job just as he did before. He only had to resign due to complications with his PC at the time so no doubts with him sticking around for a good while. Good luck big fella.

  9. There's been handful of people who have helped me out along the way and I've had a few mentors on the ~2 years I've been in GG.

First we had @Whiskey and @Inca when I first joined MRP when I was just learning the basics. Didn't have much reason to since I just came from shooting NPC's for 6 months of my life (SWRP). Truly Appreciate the shit they taught me and the good times we had.
Then came along @Valor1 and @Rust. After my PDSS days I joined back on MRP, played a few wars and Valor encouraged me to come to Ranger tryouts. After a lot of tries and sims, made it in and it's been my goto faction on MRP because of those 2.
Other mentors I've had along the way: @Ozzy, @acer, and @Fonza have always been there along the way whenever I need opinions on shit or anything else I need to talk about.

RP isn't always about making money, in fact one of my favourite RP jobs is being a gun dealer as it's been a staple of DarkRP for many years. I generally make no profit after giving out some extra ammo here and there, give away a free pistol to a new players, and reimburse customers for weapons that were stolen by the person behind them in the queue. Granted I don't have to do those extra things, but even still the profit margin is limited and I never play to make big bucks in this role.

I agree that RP isn't always about making money but the thing is if we don't make it about making money nobody will be doing it and that has been proven in the first week of the server being up. If the main draw to the server is cars then why would you waste hours RPing and getting nothing to show for it? It'd be fine for a day or a few hours but that wouldn't be brining people back to paying on classes for the sole purpose to RP

    4 minutes ago, GeneralKnoxx said:

everything starts off slow and won't be as "noticeable / very used to " as darkRP that has been there for years.

I think that with this, this is a completely new server with a new name and I think people need to understand that. This is NOT DarkRP and in my opinion, should not be run as such. If it was DarkRP#2, then by all means run it as a DRP but I think at the end of the day, people need to understand that this is a different server even if it's in a similar genre. But that's besides the point. Knoxx brought up some great points but the main thing I was trying to push for is just to advocate for more ways to make money than just farming printers. Yes, people basing is something that still helps the server and I wasn't trying to make them look bad because even I do it myself because it's still the most viable way to make money. In the end, having 10+ maxed out printers is always going to make you more money but with some tweaks to some classes, we could make it so there are other options that benefit the server by having active things going on.

For any of you who actively play the server or have the last few days, don't give up! There are still people on the server who care about it even if there are people saying "It was built to fail." I know I'll be trying to play my part in being active, hopefully providing things to do for the players, and of course still farming printers. I encourage everyone including myself to brainstorm ways to balance out some classes to make them more worth while playing in regard to XP and money. Make suggestions!
