  1. +1 this is one of the most iconic lines and would be a great addition

It's a classic, I'm surprised it's not already in the game!

Further to the suggestion, what about a can entity that PD roles can drop, so the Mayor can make laws saying 'AOS for refusing to pick up can'? (That was a joke, but it would be funny for 5 mins)

When I was doing this roleplay, I spawned in a Trashcan, bought a shipment of Water cans from the Bartender, and then swapped to PD. When someone would walk close enough I'd hit them with the line and if they didn't cooperate (in an RP way - i.e. "fuck you pig!") I'd stun stick them 🤣

I had the voiceline on a soundboard but with it ingame that would be even easier for everyone 🙂

PLEASE, just tell me the guns that have similar abilities to the Dragonlore. I'm begging you, man. If there's actually weapons that can outperform or match the dragonlore's ability, then not only would my entire reasoning be disproven, I would LOVE to know what they are. Anxiously awaiting your reply.

M95 dragon. Does more dmg than Dlore, has 5 in it's clip, just doesn't have pinpoint noscope accuracy. It's also cheaper than the Dlore.

It's the only sniper that can consistently 1 shot people with perks not on a headshot, making it the most powerful sniper in the game.

If you think that the change would be bad, then you should take it up with the people at CS:GO.

I was under the impression that CS:GO and Garry's Mod are different games. Your "additional information" shows one of the top 5 highest rated eSports games has, as of last month, nerfed the AWP sniper.

Garry's Mod should not be subject to change because the developers of a competitive shooter deemed it so. That logic simply doesn't hold up.

Your entire reasoning is that "CS:GO did it so we should too" but that's foolish.

Description: This is just going to be me reiterating the Title, but the concept is very simple. The Dragonlore's Magazine Capacity should be reduced from 10 rounds to 5 to match its CS:GO counterpart, the AWP, in which it is entirely based off of.

Reasoning: If CS:GO itself feels that the Dragonlore/AWP needed its magazine size reduced, then it's pretty safe to say that reducing the ammo on DarkRP would both help keep the accuracy of the CS:GO weapon and improve the overall balance of
             the server.

    	Additional Information: https://blog.counter-strike.net/index.php/2022/11/40472/

"If CS:GO itself feels that the Dragonlore/AWP needed its magazine size reduced, then it's pretty safe to say that reducing the ammo on DarkRP would both help keep the accuracy of the CS:GO weapon and improve the overall balance of the server." like CS:GO is some guy who decides what happens in the Garnet Gaming DarkRP server 🤣

    ---

Regardless, the AW50 already exists in DarkRP. The AW50 (being the AWP that CS:GO nerfed - as skins are cosmetic in that entirely different game), and the Dragonlore sniper being a separate 30$ beatstick for donators. These are separate weapons with separate power as one is a standard sniper that anyone can get and one represents "the most expensive/godly sniper" which has had 10 rounds in it's clip for ages.

I won't even bring up any other points as there are no other points to this suggestion.... just "CS:GO did it and we should too!" 🤔

TL;DR: I don't think competitive shooter titles making balance changes (which happens much more than GG) should affect donator weapons on Garnet Gaming Dark Roleplay.

But as it stands, mugging for any amount over 30-35k isnt worth it as the player will always try to fight instead of losing perk money (assuming they had perks to begin with)

Exactly, I don't see a reason to make this any worse. Adding actual theft into the game when people are legitimately paying for credits on the store ( @ChrisRid you can't tell me you've never seen someone pay for credits on the store) seems excessive. If I'm not going to be able to play on my main without a constant 2million target on my head I'll be on an alt or not playing at all. I know there isn't anyone else who's prestige 20 but if there was I'm sure they'd agree with me.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the current mugging system either. It's been around for ages and is about as vanilla as a mugging system can get.

  5. -1 to OP and to Chris's counter-suggestion

I already have a hard enough time trying to come on and RP as it is being Prestige 20. If I try to RP with some new players, before I can even say anything "OMG PRESTIGE 20 HEY BRO CAN I HAVE SOME MONEY" etc. etc. etc....

A perpetual 200K target on my head won't help.

I can see people who aren't highly prestiged +1ing this suggestion. I got to my level back when Prestiging got you nothing. No hats, no points, nothing.
If I could go back and never prestige I would. I would rather be able to hide prestige levels than be worth 200K+ to any thief who sees me.

So for the people who are +1ing this, consider that his is how much currency costs in the store:

    QGM5HQx.png

If I saw someone walking around that was worth 8$, I would nonstop be trying to mug that person. I don't think this is a good idea overall. This is just a punishment for progression.

simple and low-effort. I have instructed many people on this very subject as well and if this being in the description helps people understand without having to hope someone is willing to help them then why not?

Level 20 is too easy to get and abuse AdvDupe2 with. Maybe something for if you get prestige 1/2 without AdvDupe to "earn" it but that would be quite rare.

It's actually easier + faster to earn ingame and trade for VIP than that, plus it helps support the server, which is the point behind donating.

This would make bailing during a lockdown less of a slap-in-the-face to Cops but more of a payday. Maybe not the whole amount, but it wouldn't make sense to exclude bail money from the vault.

Added benefit is, that when someone sees a lot of bails happening in chat, that might cause a large-scale PD raid. I can't think of any negatives.

+1 even though sex time is a little low you have great referrals and well-written paragraphs, as well as staff experience outside of GG. I'm sure you'll make a great addition to the staff team.

Love ya Doge but you don't have your playtime listed and your paragraphs aren't paragraphs. Need 4 sentences each paragraph for it to qualify.

Not listing your playtime and instead putting "[REDACTED] at the time of writing this" along with your hidden disclaimer at the end of your app "(i decided to reapply after some guy tried to raid my base with a prop in front of it smh)" makes this feel a bit rushed and insincere.

I feel that 1 hour of use for what it costs barely allows you to cover yourself until you made the money back and credits given do no allow the use of that gun to be frequent enough to rely on that as an option. I also think that if you are farming printers for money and need the gun to be able to defend yourself for an hour, you might as well choose the payroll option and not spend the time on the printers and get more money out of it anyway. Many take this option because its more rewarding with no risk. There is no reason why you would choose the gun if you are in this scenario.

The gun doesn't go away after an hour, it stops respawning after about ~90 minutes. Meaning that you continue to spawn back with it for that long. If you're able to hold your base the entire time, you're able to keep the gun until you die.

The Credits system was designed for people who are unable to financially support the server are able to obtain these items in other ways. One of the most common methods would be to AFK overnight so that by the time you wake up you have "free" credits. This helps boost the server population during late nights and qualifies as supporting the server, which is why the Dragon Lore is available in this way.

Alternatively, many of the people I know (myself included) have used ingame currency to purchase a Dragonlore by selling that ingame currency for credits/the item itself. During a non-sale period, you're looking at around 15 million (though it could be more or less depending who you find) without having to actually pay any money yourself. You get a weapon, Garnet gets his donation, player gets their money, everyone wins.

Lastly, you're able to obtain these items from Gambling crates from !unbox. I'll say now that this isn't very sustainable, but if you're opening boxes and content with the other drops this is an effective way to gain an arsenal without having to pay physical money.

All that is to say I cannot support the suggestion of lowering the effectiveness of this gun. It's been this way for ages and still lends itself to higher-skilled players. If you're able to scope effectively, there are stronger snipers than the DLore, however it is unparalleled in noscope effectiveness so I do agree it is the most dominant weapon in the game.

However, with all of the options for any player to be able to use it, temporarily or permanently, I don't think it's an outright necessity nor do I think weakening prior donation items is a good strategy. A base built for the USAS is only behind in DPS by about a second tops, and many other automatic weapons make quick work of a raider. Build your base so that they must face away from you when cracking and it's hard for a Dlore user to even assault your base. I could go on about the ways around it but I think I've already over-spoke. I just hope this information is useful in some way 🙂

Again, this would be ok I guess, if it was a weapon accessable to everyone. In the current state of the game, it is only available to those with the funds to buy it with real currency.

Use !tokens and purchase the AWP with your free tokens earned from playing. It might not be permanent, but it certainly isn't only usable by people who are supporting the server.

Yes, Shizzle left a bad taste in the mouth of the community upon his last departure. Yes, his last apps have been lacking. Yet he has shown his inability to give up, and his ability to improve if even slightly.

Look at his last app. Now back to this one. Now back to his last app. Notice a difference? He is acknowledging his criticism and trying to improve. Read through this app and realize he is literally 14 years old. This is very well written for a 14 year old and shows a level of self-awareness I've not yet seen in Shizzle.

I'm giving him my +1 and I believe that even if he is declined, the (valid) criticisms here will only help him improve on his next app. So keep at it, criticizing every detail of a 14 year old who's in love with the server; I am sure that it will only benefit him in the long run.

Don't want to be punished for going around with a climb swep because someone has a clip where they decided to walk towards me with a red stick.

Police have an entire police force, try to organize and operate like an actual police force instead of expecting Cops to fly (which, if you actually play the game in any of the ways that earn EXP, it's not hard to get Prestige cop anyways)

Consider that Climb Swep and cops have been around for a long ass time, and Cops have been greatly buffed so they are literally at their strongest point right now. They don't need to be able to do EVERYTHING. They already have so many unique class features that no other class gets, so it would be foolish to restrict other classes just because a cop is around.

Chris nailed it on the head. You're clearly struggling with your time on Garnet, and your struggles are leaking into your own life. I don't need to repeat everything he had said, but we were all really worried about you when you were telling us your overuse of time on Garnet is leading to serious physical and health issues for you.

You claim your wrist won't get in the way, but on your latest 'farewell' post you said you can't move it and we won't see you for weeks/months, only for you to reapply within days. I don't want to see a post next week about how your wrist is damaged because you couldn't keep yourself away from Garnet. You've demonstrated that GG will get in the way of your physical and mental health, so perhaps it's a good idea to give it a rest and try again when your wrist is better. Focusing on your physical health, especially when you're healing from an injury, is far more important than any videogame.

It also doesn't help that the last time you were demoted for, well, being a poor staff member, you decided to make a drama post on the forums and burn bridges which, since this happened not long ago (do you see why Chris is saying to take some time?) I can't in good faith believe you will not repeat the same actions. It's obvious that a lot of what you want from this community is attention, and becoming a staff member just to get attention is not cool.

I honestly can't even tell if this is serious. Less than 2 months ago you were removed on bad terms, for doing bad things, then made a big deal about it and (2 or more farewell posts later) now you expect everybody to welcome you with open arms? This is a classic case of fucking around and finding out; you've done all the fucking around, now you get to do all the finding out.

When I last had the luxury of playing with Beast he was certainly one of the best players on the server.

Kind, dedicated, and intelligent are the three characteristics I associate most with Beast.

Would love to see what Beast can bring to the team 🤩

Except for chess leaderboard, as without engine detection that would get hella toxic quickly. Every chess system that utilizes Skill Rating has a cheat detection to prevent exactly this and I don't want that type of energy in DarkRP.
