    more buttons?

-1 too many buttons It was already buffed from 2 to 3 I think that is plenty for any base. Never seen a good base that used more than 3 buttons and never seen a hobo somehow fit 5 buttons in a 6x6 Additionally prop limit is 70 at low pop so that'd be 7 buttons if we followed you suggestion all the way. If you really need more buttons, prop buddy someone and work with them.
  2. In-game name: ShankNinjaSteamID (https://steamid.io/): STEAM_0:1:18378805In-game rank: L.ModTimezone: CSTLength of LOA: 2 week (1/5/2022)Reason: I am currently responsible for a major org migration project, two different audits, product license migrations, along with a lot of other really technical and boring stuff. Additionally, the holidays have put a wrench in what I'm capable of spending my time on. I won't be able to become active again until the 3rd at the earliest, but by the 5th I should have my head back above water. I hope all of you reading this have Happy Holidays of your own and I believe we will all get through it in one piece. It might not feel that way right now, but I have to believe
  3. +1 I don't remember how the button functions but there's three things I'd love to have changed to the current system: 1. The lockdown is enforced at ending 5 minutes in (Mayor OR Button) since this seems to be forgotten a lot 2. The button is able to end the lockdown early as well as start them 3. The lockdown cannot be started by the Mayor or by the Button before the 5 minute cooldown is over. Lastly, though not as important, I think the button/command could have an inbuilt 30 second warning. Since this is part of the rules, I think it would make sense to have it pop a notice into chat, count down the 30 seconds, and allow players to prepare before it's effective. This would fix the current issues with lockdown, which is that a Mayor will hide somewhere obscure, initiate a lockdown, and not be killable by raiders. Oftentimes these lockdowns exceed 5 minutes due to nobody timing the lockdown, and they often start without warning/reason anyways (which the button would probably do as well) I know the Hitman is supposed to exist for this purpose but I rarely see this solution being applied to the problem. I also think it makes more sense for the Mayor and his PD to be protecting the Mayor's quarters as opposed to be hiding in the sewers running lottos and lockdowns (which I don't think fits with the Mayor RP). It would also incentivize a mayor to either have a well-guarded PD or abstain from calling a lockdown and by-hand arresting players that are hanging out on the street, which although the Mayor is a CP I don't think it makes much sense for the mayor to walk outside of the PD and handcuff civilians on his own although that might just be my opinion.
  4. -1 Doesn't meet paragraph requirements (minimum 2 paragraphs cannot be accomplished with three sentences) Didn't read the staff rules 'Maybe' on the recording question isn't good enough. The options are YES or NO. And if it isn't a YES then you will likely not get a lot of positive feedback.
  5. -1 Doesn't meet paragraph requirements (minimum 2 paragraphs cannot be accomplished with one sentence) Didn't read the staff rules @PM-of-Israel can you confirm your referral?
  6. Please edit your appeal with the format on this post if you want any chance for this to be accepted:
  7. +1 I know it's more of a money sink to make it so if you: take 1 point of damage, get arrested, change jobs, take a drug, etc. that it will cost you another 31,500$ But I think it'd be acceptable if you could just re-buy the perks as-needed. This would eliminate the 'bug' that is explained in this thread and reduce the amount of times one would need to die for their Custom Class to switch to the correct model so you can re-buy perks every time.
  8. -1 Only one paragraph (minimum is two). I know English isn't your strongest suit but requirements are requirements for a reason. Doesn't have a mic, which is a requirement for staffing. @Codykw can you confirm your referral? I don't know Compa Mau's forum account so I will have to ask him in the staff discord.
  9. +1 Even if a map change is required, it could alternate between day/night every server restart, meaning 48hrs of day and 48hrs of nighttime. I can see why this probably won't get accepted, but I personally think it would be awesome and help with the monotonous daytime.
  10. -1 Didn't read the staff rules. Inability to record Paragraphs are small, have filler, and sentences end and begin with no regard for punctuation: "The reason you guys should pick me over other applicants because I am reliabable and can help out whenever I'm on gmod. witch means whenever I'm on the server I can be a great help with other mods and staff to greater help the workflow of the server." ^This is one sentence. Which makes your first paragraph not even meet the 4 sentence requirement.
  11. +1 It's cool and doesn't seem hard to implement. -1 Garnet has said it would create further lag than the already existing free trails so I can't support it
  12. +1 Good app and great staff experience. I've never had a problem with you, and I have no doubts you'll do just fine staffing on this server.
  13. +1 Not sure if it's gone but I remember this existing. If it already exists then this suggestion doesn't make a lot of sense, but if it was removed I'd say it was a good feature and should be on the server.
  14. +1 I haven't seen you very often, but I haven't been active this last week so I can't hold that against you. You have excellent referrals, and your paragraphs are basically an essay. You satisfactorily answered the question of "Why should we choose you over other applicants?" and sound like you'd make a great staff member in my opinion.
  15. -1 Didn't read the Staff Rules The minimum 2 paragraphs requirement cannot be fulfilled in 4 sentences I've never heard of you, but you have 15 hours a day to play? You used a referral that wasn't actually given to you. @Mi-Go467 can you confirm your referral?
  16. +1 Your application sounds phenomenal. You kinda hit the nail on the head with almost all of your sentences, and it's very refreshing to hear a potential staff member share the same attitude as my own. In fact, if I didn't know any better, I'd almost think that I wrote this application. I believe your attitude, as expressed in your paragraphs, is exactly the type of attitude we want for our staff members. Great work and I love to see how you improved your application from just three days ago, taking all criticism against you and using it to make your application the cream of the crop. If I find out @FlameSoul didn't give you his referral I will revert this to a -1, but based on your last application I have a good feeling you know what a referral constitutes so I'm not doubting it.
  17. +1 cops can be pretty weak and this would be cool + add to the roleplay
  18. +1 Your title of suggestion and your suggestion kinda differ... this is a hitman buff, that indirectly affects mayor. However, I have been thinking of posting this exact same suggestion. Very good idea to return this class to a slice of its former glory.
  19. -1 * "Paragraph" one is just a run-on sentence. Paragraph two is only three sentences long, of which it needs a minimum of four sentences to even be considered a paragraph. * Cloudyyy didn't give you his referral, so it's misleading to include this information. It makes the app feel disingenuous in my opinion. * Steamid isn't in the correct format * Hours are not in the correct format You also broke one of the Staff Application Rules when you quadruple-posted: Keep post count to a minimum. If you're responding to multiple people, do it in a single post.
  20. -1 Don't get me wrong - I hate server crashes as much or more than the next guy. But for the standard staff member (i.e. not Proggy or Garnet) and even for them, depending on the situation, it's virtually impossible (if not completely impossible) to fully prove/provide evidence for a ban to be handed down. I think since it's improbable that evidence can be collected that actually PROVES that the user has crashed the server, this would be an unnecessary rule change. Especially since this is an edge case of a niche scenario that can only be speculated, and never proven without-a-doubt, I think if it becomes a problem that the user would fall under the "Attempting to crash the server" rule; regardless of if the attempt was intentional, this would be handled similarly to how unintentional RDM is considered "Attempted RDM" regardless of if it was actually intentionally attempted, they broke the rule. TL;DR Without clear evidence that's nearly impossible to collect a ban won't be handed out and that is why I think this would be a pointless addition.
  21. +1 I think .5 second buffer is a perfect middleground. Even if it doesn't get that low, I'll always be behind the idea of reducing it, sheerly due to quality-of-life improvement/convenience.
  22. -1 When you joined the server your name was advertising a cheating/hacking forum. When the staff made you change your name, you changed it to another cheating/hacking forum advertisement, before being made to change your name once again. In my opinion you should have received a punishment for this, but regardless I don't think this behavior is one befitting of the staff role. I can't stand behind the decision to approve you. I'm not holding his original name against him really... it's the fact he was told that advertising cheats in his name is not allowed, and was told to change it, after which he changed it to yet ANOTHER cheating advertisement. Considering this all happened less than a week ago (meaning he hasn't really had much time in my opinion to learn the server very well), I think his staff app was poorly timed. All I know about ak47 is that he had cheating advertisements in his name, and instead of listening to the staff and changing it to a non-offensive name, he further wasted the staff's time by changing it to a separate hacking advertisement. I think if he takes the time to improve his image within the community he will be able to put this behind him. But playing for a week is not a good enough amount of time to become a well-known member in the community, so it's my opinion that he should continue improving his reputation and try again when he's known by others.
