I believe my Sit was handled incorrectly.

the incident occured at approx 7pm pst

alrighty lads so here goes nothing. so to preface, i was walking down mainstreet, mostly just looking around, and i see a man cracking doors in a base, so i stood outside to watch, and made sure to steer clear of the doorway so as not to block it, and as i was watching i got blasted in the ass by the dudes raiding buddy, followed by him screaming "move nigga". so obviously as i was neither inside the base, nor interfering via bodyblock, i feel theres no justifiable rp reason for me to have been shot. thus i made the report which was initially taken by PM of israel. he ruled that the kill was justified because he was raiding. i felt that this was an error because line 6 of the raiding rules very clearly states "You may not kill nearby players unless they're inside the building in which you're raiding."   with the added text that essentially says unless interfering/countering. PM israel decided that since i was by the front door, the kill was justified. This was very blatantly contrary to the rules to me, so i requested some attention from a higher up (glorbnob) who stated that (paraphrasing of course) since i was in front of the door, with a gun out, and there was an active raid, that the kill was justified. i also feel like this is an incorrect interpretation of the rules, because 1: not only is it explicitly stated in the rules that i have to be inside to be kos'd, but also the fact that the  mere act of holding out a weapon would never constitute interference in any other context. the excuse of the individual who shot me in the clip was that i was i was body blocking the door and therefore interfering. As you can see in clip A, there aren't any moments in which i was in a spot in which i could not be walked around or jumped over, so this excuse to me is also invalid, Especially considering in about the last 3 seconds of clip A you can very clearly see that he has jump boost, and so body block should never have been a justifiable response in the first place. And as you can see in clip B, there was 100% plenty of room for players to get both in and out of the base door, proving i wasn't body blocking. this sit was important to me because of the huge precident it sets for raiding rules across the server, so im trying my best to take this seriously, in hopes that we dont fall into a slippery slope of admins enforcing their own interpretations of the rules, instead of enforcing... well.. the actual written rules that are available for everyone to see. In the rules it says “you may kill the owners of the base/ CPA’s and other people who are interfering/countering” me and 6 other staff members all agreed on that video that you were in the door way and there fore were interfering with the raid. 

a diss in a sit is making fun of someone and or profanity in a sit, I didn’t say anything about that comment he said because he said “time to go to the forums buddy” he didn’t make fun of or use profanity on anyone in that clip, therefore I didn’t see a problem with it

 

i understand your frustration, it’s happened to me before. But I think that that kill from ckrip was justified

i see your point of view dont get me wrong, but frankly i dont see how it's much of a debate considering theres a literal clip of me NOT being in the doorway

Hey, I'm sorry that you felt that this sit was mishandled, i was called in by my fellow staff member to help him determine what happened in the video. From the POV i saw in the video provided at roughly 17 seconds you walked up to the door of the building while aiming a weapon at one of the raiding players inside, the reasoning behind the kill being valid is because not only were you blocking the door( you were blocking it there was a roof above the door which prevented an individual with jump boost from getting around you), but also the fact that you had a weapon out and were readily aiming at the assailant.) the physical base had protruded out into the alley which is clearly visible as you ran up to the base.

Just to reiterate, you were close to the entrance of the base (also past the fencing) while two players were raiding. You had a gun out, aiming at the keypad cracker, and could've gotten in the way of the raiding buddy. The kill was definitely justifiable. Glorbnob summed it up well enough.
