I'm rather neutral on this situation to be honest. Hobos have been using guns larger than a pistol for a long time. The real reason nobody complains is that this rule is rarely enforced. In my experience, the only times I've ever seen people actually gain a punishment for it is for two reasons, both of which tie into eachother. One of which is someone just witchhunting keeping an eye out for hobos who pull out a large gun for even a second just to clip it and report it, and the other being people trying to get people higher punishments by stacking it on top of RDM, or even just trying to get someone punished for defending themselves from them. I've seen plenty of sits where players have demanded that both themselves and the reported get punished as they tried to RDM them, but the hobo used a big gun out of instinct. While in the end, this DOES fall on the hobo (before any of you say I am saying the hobo is completely innocent) there's a certain amount of witchhunting you can do with this rule. The big issue with this is you see a lot of report bias, you can see old players walk around with a sniper and nobody will bat an eye, but if a new player walks around with a shotgun, there may be someone who simply decides they want to try to get this person in trouble. These same people will not report those older players or players they lkke. This turns it into being not a rule that's enforced fairly whatsoever, and just an easy way to get a player you don't like in trouble. That being said, it does make sense from an RP perspective to only have a pistol. I could MAYBE see a gun like a shotgun making sense, but I don't see a semi-auto or beyond making much sense. There are not a lot of reasons a hobo should be shooting people, in fact they really should only be defending themselves after being shot and that's about it. As such, I don't necessarily see a need for a hobo to have anything beyond a pistol from a role-playing perspective. To give my view, I personally don't give a shit. I think adding them isn't a big deal, but I can see why others may see that as a unnecessary change. I'll make a final decision on my own thoughts after I see some new viewpoints. We've overturned other small rules like this, such as hitmen not being able to base (which they are now allowed to solo base) so I don't think it's necessarily fair to argue rules shouldn't be changed based on how old they are. Rules should be changed based on what the player base wants, not what they wanted years ago. This is why suggestions exist.

Dahli, we've hung out on the server a bit, and I think you are pretty fun to be around, but im not sure how youd be on the team. Despite this though, I think you should spend some time making a name amongst the staff team, ESPECIALLY due to your bans. Even 1 mass RDM ban can make things a bit shaky, but 4 especially means you need to PROVE you've changed since you were banned. I think you could possibly have some potential, but I think you should prove yourself. Not just to me, but to other staff members, so they can vouch for you. With the right amount of determination and if you give it some time, I could see it happening one day, just not right now bud. Good luck though! To all people commenting on his age, I agree, 13 can be a red flag, but an interesting thing to point out is while I was a manager for a long time and even before that, I've met 13 year olds who were WAY more mature than full grown adults ive met on drp. It really just depends. Give him a chance to prove himself to you all, so maybe the next time he applies, he just might get it. Good luck buddy.

Hello there! If you would like to appeal a warn, please fill out this format and explain what warn in particular you are trying to get removed and why. Also, after gaining a large amount of warns (I think 8-10 maybe?) you get autobanned 1 day if you gain another one. Warns go away after 2 weeks, and you cannot be permanently banned for warns. -1, the whole point of being mayor is being a tyrant. The cool down is there to prevent someone from being mayor indefinitely, however I think it's fine the way it is. One major issue I could see is of course, being rdmed. As fish said, a admin can set you back to mayor, however given some admins don't always see a request for /setjob or are not on, this isn't a solution for every hour of the day. If you have to rely on the cool down, you already lose a ton of the police force at times, and increasing that may make more people quit being police, which can be very harmful if you were RDMed. I can 100% see high level players rdming people while admits are offline, it already happens. Also, 2 minutes is more than enough time for someone else to switch to mayor. Generally speaking, whenever a mayor causes a ton of issues usually some other level 50 yoinks it from them. If nobody does, I don't think increasing the cooldown is going to change someone from switching to mayor or not. You'd just be delaying the inevitable by a bit more time, adding a longer cool down doesn't fix the problem of being able to switch back so fast, unless you go above 5 minutes. If you go above 5 minutes though, frankly I think that'd be unreasonable. 15 minutes can literally KILL a mayor's PD force, and again if they were rdmed, they shouldn't be punished if no admin is online to give them their role back. Making it a harsher punishment or giving lower admins doesn't give a solution, I've seen PLENTY of high level players manipulate their way out of rdm cases after blatantly rdming mayors, and again, if nobody is on to set their job, nothing can be done. Letting lower ranks set people to mayor also just opens up more chances for exploitation.
