  1. -1 How often are auto-hits even placed on the same person? Once every several hours at most? Seems fairly inconsequential, and I don't see any justification for why hobos would get special treatment.
  2. +1 I've noticed this for a while too, especially when someone prop blocks/traps and I can't figure out who owns the props. Not to mention, I can totally see this being a huge pain in the ass in RP situations for cops trying to get a warrant.
  3. I have to strongly disagree. It's supposed to have AOE, sure, but the range on it can be wild. I tested an RPG from the sewers recently, and it can easily kill players and destroy printers on the surface. Same is true if you're basing next door to someone else getting raided (for example, the garage next to the PD) https://streamable.com/a926ai Altough I do agree with nerfing bases so that they're actually raidable if someone made that as a suggestion
  4. This is two suggestions in one. I'd recommend splitting it up or reposting it all together. Neutral on rocket proofing glass. I don't really see a reason why this should exist over nerfing rockets. I'm indifferent either way. Huge +1 to nerfing rockets (my preference is lower the AOE of it). The damage radius is absurd. It's way too easy to have collateral damage and accidental MRDM cases. Not to mention, it affects people who are basing near raided bases. If I'm in a base next door by the PD, I take damage to a PD raid. If someone shoots rockets in the tunnels and I'm in the warehouse base by the main town road, my printers get blown up and I get killed. Way too exploitable in my opinion.
  5. Description: Whitelist the following props under Plastic Props, so long as they do not cause server instability issues or crashing problems: models/hunter/tubes/circle2x2.mdl models/hunter/tubes/circle2x2b.mdl models/hunter/tubes/circle2x2c.mdl models/hunter/tubes/circle2x2d.mdl models/hunter/tubes/circle4x4.mdl models/hunter/tubes/circle4x4b.mdl models/hunter/tubes/circle4x4c.mdl models/hunter/tubes/circle4x4d.mdl Reasoning: A lot of precise plastic prop builds, either as a hobo when making fancy designs or when creating a clean looking base, requires circular/round props for detail. However, options for round props as it stands are limited. You can use the trainstation_clock prop or wheels today, but neither are sized correctly when building something thats a 2x2 or 4x4. I believe allowing players to spawn the following round props from the plastic props menu (see screenshot below) would allow infinitely more creative freedom when building a cool shack, a neat prop art, or a well-designed base. However... I did see that last year, Garnet warned props from the Tubes list menu cause server instability issues. As such, I request we whitelist only the round props from the Tubes plastic prop menu, so long as they do not cause server crashing issues. I know my ability to make cool builds would benefit as a result, along with countless other players as well. Additional Information: The props in question:
  6. Neutral/Lean -1 Sounds to me like overkill for the Bank Robber's existing role. I don't get why we'd split the bank robber role into multiple/gang affiliated classes, when the bank robber itself already exists and is underutilized. I can see the case for making it the only class that can raid the bank to incentivize the class more, but the rest seems too complicated for an activity that is 5-10 minutes long. I don't see players actively doing enough group heists to justify new group classes. I'd rather fix something that is underutilized instead.
  7. -1 What @IAreGunner said. it's on you to ensure your quickdoor is reinforced or protected from battering rams. As for annoucing raid, I don't see what value it adds imo. it just adds more work and red tape to an already well defined role where you already need proof to execute a warrant. The /warrant command already announces the equivalent of "raid" when it pops up on screen, and gives a reason for the warrant. What more is needed?
  8. Alright fair, then to curb people with gambling addiction. I'm going to edit the original post because I think it focuses too much on gambling addiction urges rather than the main point at hand. And I think you raise a good point - it's also straight up annoying at times, and something people would rather just have "off" when not wanting to do the lotto.
  9. Well I'm not suggesting it's an inhibiting behavior on par with gambling addiction that requires therapy. I just think some people have urges to participate in the lottery when they'd prefer not to. I think limiting the notifications would help prevent those urges. And I agree, it's annoying to come up, especially when you're in an rp situation or are trying to look at your missions
  10. Description: Introduce an opt out feature for the mayor lottery, preventing the "Join Lottery for $X" notification from appearing in-game if selected. Reasoning: The main reason is it can be disruptive at times when in an RP situation, makes it hard to look at the status of your ongoing missions, and can additionally help players with addictive personalities (myself included) avoid gambling when it's in your face. That said, I'm not against the lottery and don’t want to diminish the feature or hurt players’ chances of winning big. I think an opt out feature makes the most sense, where players by default get the notification as it currently is. Those who don’t want to be reminded to participate can open a menu to turn the feature on/off. Additional Information: Additionally, perhaps the lottery is on by default every time a player connects, and they have to choose to turn it off once connected. I’m open to ideas! Thank you!
  11. The first and finest member I ever met. Take care, and I wish you the best Ghostie! Hope to still see you online!
  12. Sure +1, seems like a fun idea. But while Gordon is a force for good, having him align with the PD (which is ran by Combine and Breen class models) just feels wrong to me so I disagree a bit with @ChrisRid there. I vote for more of an antihero, anarchist type class that's more in clash with the PD and mayor. Maybe a "fight the system" type class that's focused on PD raiding? Just my 2 cents.
  13. Redbull fan. I first seen it when the Spaniard lost 3 times to Du bis Welt-miester

  14. Honestly, I'm -1 not because I don't think you're qualified or don't have it in you - you're active and engaged, and I've had nothing but positive experiences with you online (when I was a bit more active on DarkRP a few weeks ago) and on the forums. But this post 2 months ago, where you stated that playing Gmod and Garnet caused you to "gain 10 pounds and the will to kill yourself," leads me to think that added responsibilities and staff isn't in your own best interest or health. If you felt recently that being staff put you in such a dark place in life, why push yourself down that path again? Nobody wants to see you in a bad spot man, and I don't believe for one second that 2 months is enough time to work on yourself fully. I know far too many people that say "they've changed" only to go down the same self-destructive behaviors almost instantly. It's really not worth it, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with just being an engaged, non-staff player. Being a "staff member for a Gmod DarkRP server" really doesn't mean shit in the grand scheme of things, and you're still able to full engage, socialize, and have respect in the community without it. Just my two cents. Hope that rationale makes sense and wish you the best.
