    • For reference I still haven't reached level 50 after a couple days of playing just deliveryman. Leveling is hideous to do on this server but that's a story for another time. The problem is that only Warden, the Mayor, and the Mayor's Wife are allowed to build according to the rules. That seems fine on paper given their roles, but what if there's none on? Why is there no stopgap solution to prevent people from just... breaking out constantly? Why do I need to switch to a class that makes me arbitrarily AFK, tab back in every 30 seconds to check if someone is raiding or lockpicking, and then go back to whatever I was doing? It's no more involved with roleplay than sitting next to printers. If I'm a decent cop player, why are my efforts invalidated if there's nobody watching 24/7? Why not allow something as basic as cops being allowed to block off the vent or make fading doors so prisoners can't just waltz out whenever they feel like? It's stupid. On a tangent, prisoners shouldn't even have lockpicks in the first place in my honest opinion. Prison should be un-fun to experience so as to incentivize not getting caught in the first place. People don't fight as viciously to not get arrested if they just realize they can pick their way out and basically invalidate the work done to catch them. Solo I might add.   Having to switch to an entirely different class and give up what you're doing completely is poor design. It basically boils down to "your work is invalidated unless someone deliberately picks this boring job that is specifically allowed to build in the prison". So you're either forced to give up playing cop completely until someone decides for some reason they like to afk in the prison until people beg for release or hope that someone else picks it up. That'd be like if I couldn't set up any sort of legal shop without a security guard, because I'm not allowed to defend myself.   I feel like "minge" is just a term used nowadays as an excuse to not add something. There are so many ways to minge that are far easier to accomplish than loopholing a police rule of all things.
    • +/- Age +/- Playtime - Paragraphs - Warns - Interactions    Yeah, I'm gonna have to agree with Kirkson. There's clearly no effort put into this and no offense, you aren't ready to join the staff team. Thank you for applying but -1
    • The main goal is to not make everyone's experience worse. What was suggested arguably adds more ability for players to minge, meaning more of the community has a hard time interacting with each other. This means that staff are more involved and there is less ropeplay happening. I do not understand your concerns about the PD being "vulnerable". As I stated earlier, there has to be 5 Civil Protection before any criminal job can raid the vault. Also, you haven't explained WHY there couldn't be a Mayor, why could someone not be a Mayor? Level 50 isn't that hard to obtain and there are other jobs within Civil Protection that already allow you the ability to build in the PD. If you elaborate more on these topics it would make it easier to understand where you're coming from.
    • PENDING INTERVIEW Thank you for your application. After deliberation with the Human Resources Team, we have decided to tentatively accept your application and advance you on to the interview stage. Please ensure you have joined the GarnetGaming DarkRP Discord. A link to the discord can be found at the top of the page on the Navigation Bar.   Once in the Discord, please message anyone with the "HR Division" role, or any member of the Administration Team, with a few dates and times to coordinate your interview. Thank you again for the time and effort you put into your application. We look forward to speaking with you soon!   Responses will still be accepted at this time. Thank you!
    • +1.  Minges are dealt with on a case-by-case basis and they will always be there. That is no reason to not implement changes to the server that improve the PD gameplay experience, especially for newer players. I can say from experience that playing as police without having a fair ability to properly fortify the department is miserable and just leads to it being painfully unfun given the problems it currently causes. Like said before, the issue of "who is allowed to build the PD base" should be decided by the Mayor, but why is there a prerequisite of having a Mayor in the first place if it means you have to leave PD completely undefended without one? It's ridiculous. Not everyone wants to play Mayor, and given the high level requirement, not everyone can. Warden gameplay on that note is unintuitive, boring, and at its core is basically just an AFK fest of which already exists plenty.   PD is vulnerable. Let police fortify it if there isn't/can't be a Mayor so it's not horrible to deal with without one as a failsafe.
