    Yes dividing taxes from the vault amongst PD players has been done for the better part of almost 2 years, but I had attempted to fix it at some point in time last year, and was unreported back if it is working or not, and the last time I tried was about.. 4-5 months ago, and we haven't had staff to test it since.

    Just acknowledging the portion of your post about "vauilt giving out CPs money". This was actually completed MONTHS ago, in the most unsurprising turn of events, it's the current management team who has failed twice to report to me whether or not it works, or offer their time to help me test the system. The one reliable person I can get to help me out is Cyber, but he has been kind of dead and away lately.

I didn't do anything except set up the same DarkRP server as others are hosting, but one that can run 128/128 without lag and have better performance lol. I cannot force players to act one way or another, you guys, the players can accomplish that yourselves. So, "we oriented the server's community towards printing and permaweapons". If the idea of permaweapons existing in the first place insults you, just bare in mind I hardly sustain myself hosting these servers (with the exception of COVID) because I do this full time and people would NOT support my creations otherwise 😄

    Ok well, you just ended this whole tangent with "I won't make a post because it'll make veterans upset". Community veterans or players who have been here for a substantial amount of time are far and few. Probably 5-15% of our population on a given day. Just stop being a bitch and suggest changes I can code that'll make our community better 😄 the odds are overwhelmingly in your favor.

    Well, I thought that was a given, and you figured it out in the ending of that same sentence lol.

    I have no problem raising all PD levels by 3-5 levels (3 being for later jobs like SWAT). In order to incentivize more PD, I think we just need to introduce a faction who's sole purpose is to raid the PD, and make it a culture out of Mayors to build out a shelter in their PD and be protected, in favor of HUGE taxes on everything 😮

    Our gameplay loop with the taxation system was.. bad mayor = profitable, good mayor = waste of time. If taxes are high, PD is raided constantly in order to overthrow the mayor. People don't pay taxes? mass PD raid against them.

    Sadly this didn't play out like it did on paper 😞

    This halloween season, the SCP universe is having a little crossover with the mundane world of DarkRP where players purchase printers and whine about RDM

    (in reality this is just fancy words for I worked on an SCP server that never launched, so lets use some creepy shit that was worked on)

    SCP-096

    The backrooms are alot creepier these days

    Depending upon your luck, you may come across the backrooms when they're occupied by a the docile SCP-096... this SCP will leave you alone and allow you to escape the backrooms unharmed, UNLESS, you look at 096, putting them into heavy emotionally distress. Doing so will lead 096 to chase you down and dismember you.

    On occasions, the backrooms will take their toll on 096, and they will be permanently in distress - making the challenge significantly harder

     

     

     

    SCP-513 

     A rusted, cowbell that when rang, makes any of those nearby who hear it relentlessly stalked by a ghost entity. If this ghost is left unmarked for too long, it'll make itself known by any means :).  Once you have rung this bell, it cannot be un-rung or reversed.

    Made materials more accessible to lower prestiges by overall lowering the requirements (prestige 25 would've been crazy 😮) The previous range of prestige 2-20 has been reduced to prestige 1-9.

     

    The Wireframe material has been added, it is colorable by separately purchasing the colors available in the vending machine in order to avoid broken combos like wireframe+black - which would basically make you invisible during raids 😄 only high contrast colors

     

     

     

    Pointshop

    Corrected the Halloween 2023 exclusive item - coffin backpack.

    It now attaches to a players' spine, that way it does not rotate oddly when looking up or down like before.

    Bugs & Exploits

    Grenades can no longer be thrown through props as their point of origin is now the player's eyes, instead of hand (which was able to clip through objects)
    GL and Rocket shipments/crates no longer deal an exorbitant amount of damage
    Explosives/Rocket Launchers can no longer damage you through walls - patching the exploits where you can go into the sewer system and nuke a base located directly above through the walls of the map 😄

    Damage for explosives will still travel past props in the event of a raid 🙂

  7. Seems to be a majority of -1s, I also do not see a huge benefit to this, being that you have a pretty long period of time before your printer actually overheats once the fan breaks 🙂

    This screams to me "turn DRP into an idle simulator where I can tab out, as long as I have a timer to re-stock my printer's fan"

  8. Exactly what is described as the issue in this post, is an intentional feature. 

    Players who are say.. level 99 can literally max out their printers, prestige, and immediately after hit level 25 with a decked out printer that's been idle for about 20-30 minutes. That would just break the progression of prestiging on the server, which is supposed to be harder to obtain, sorry, you can downvote my response all you want, but this is not something I would like to implement.

  9. I don't know that you spent a significant amount of time on other servers to know how their voting systems work (based on your post) - but allow me to fill you in. The server is primarily made of money farmers with printers; CPs can raid them far easier thanks to the battering ram and the sheer number (PD raid can have an infinite number of players). As a result, all printers by default press "NO" on all votes to becoming CP. This alone is a good reason why I will not move forward adding in a voting system for this feature.

     

    When it comes to raising the bar for accessibility, I would think level 11 is roughly 30 minutes of playtime at MINIMUM and as such, you wouldn't be likely to abuse the feature, but in the event that you were to, we should theoretically have staff at all times of the day to address this. I am still willing to raise the level to become a CP, just help me come up with a good compromise 🙂

  10. With this suggestion making such a heavy change to our economy, I would've expected of it to be an overwhelming majority of support in order to accept it. Currently the count is far too close to neutral, so I am going to go ahead and move this to denied.

    Saying the economy is already fucked is not your golden ticket to having a suggestion that further damages if it get accepted, it's actually a very weak argument 🙂

    I don't think at any point you were accused of banning Tdizz, and I even mentioned explicitly in your messages that you let me know you're not around for the day lol. Your only involvement was letting me know that Tdizz had been warned against this form of exploitation, which was the reason I had decided to more forward with a ban (under the notion this is persistent exploitation, following a warning) but unfortunately there is no evidence of the warnings being given out, and as a result, the exploited bug had been fixed, and Tdizz will be unbanned.

    In the future if any staff member is to give out a verbal warning against such issues, please make sure to document it ; or simply hand the warning over as a form of a message - as opposed to voice chat 🙂

  13. Hello @tdizz, as I mentioned, once the report is up we can discuss the information I was given.

     

    Being that this instance where you had "exploited" the GL ammo was directly posted in the form of a medal clip into the management group by @Chicaa21 I followed up and asked if you were banned by any staff member for exploitation - being that this was the second time you were reported in the last 4 hour period for exploitation. This was verbally confirmed by @Chicaa21 as she mentioned over Discord "Also my phone is about to die but this is the second time that he has done this".

     

    I had a little enlightenment moment and thought to myself "maybe staff haven't been enforcing our veteran players to not abuse this feature" and asked "was he made aware this is exploitation?" (referring to again, Tdizz), and got back the response "And yeah they were all made aware. Juice plague all of them. Hydra maybe not since he just now started being active" - indicating all players were made aware this is considered exploitation, later confirmed again by a screenshot of a management conversation.

     

     

    follow up response from me:

    "Just to confirm before I ban who was it that let him know 

    i want to make sure Tdizz got a warning, because he's a "veteran" player"

     

     

    and got back a very vague staff chat in which there's a higher up discussion of staff going over the fact that the usage of this entity to raid is infact 'exploitation' and assumed this was the 'ok' that players were made aware in-game or through Discord. (may have been my own oversight)

    How do I access the backrooms?

    An NPC can be found at spawn in order to be transported to the backrooms

    There are multiple spawnpoints making it all that much more confusing to figure out the way out, or your friends.
