  1. An AK's stats in comparison seems like a non-issue or atleast (to me) a problem you made up because you're being beaten in war PS good job showcasing a spray pattern in a closed shooting range. At the end of the day, i'm in favor of removing some of the attachments' buffs, but I do think this post includes alot of pointless information.

  7. Update was pushed through, I had to do alot of day 1 bug-fixing and testing, however, it's 4AM and I really need to get some sleep. Some glaring issues currently are: -Tier classes need to be completed -Potentially some Elite class re-works -rework prestige incentives (rather than extra damage or health, aim for extra speed/jump height)

Took a little peek at WayBackMachine and got a little nostalgic, even though alot of stuff is missing 2 hours later, I realized I spent far too much time on this post, but it's ok. 2014-2015 | A TTT Server Back then GarnetGaming was literally a fun project I began working on because I was caught up in my High School classes and got tiresome of staffing other people's communities for various reasons. Initially, Garnet Gaming was a team of 3 admins GRINDING hardcore to get 15-20 players on. On billing dates I believe I had to pay roughly $15 for 30 server slots, at which point young me was nearly crying and on the verge of begging his parents for an allowance When you're in high school you'd just rather spend that money on video games, food, and dates. 2015-2016 | Introduction of DarkRP The TTT community continuously requested we expand into the DarkRP gamemode (at which point we would regularly hop onto existing servers anyways) and I was able to budget just enough to where I could allow myself to host two servers while saving up for my first year of college. 2016-2017| Introduction of MilitaryRP Right from week 1, DarkRP was at the very top of the category, and everytime somebody would donate for any sort of item, I would immediately re-invest. This netted us a properly made website, access to public (paid) addons, and a dedicated server machine that didn't get DDoS'd nearly as much. At this point, I feel as though more and more people took this community for more than a hobbyist project, but instead, another run-of-the-mill DarkRP server hosted by a kid who still his mother's credit card. Towards the end of the year a community by the name of UG shut down and I was begged to join the MilitaryRP category seeing as there were no stable servers left to join. I took the opportunity and purchased another dedicated server. Super late in 2016 we were also asked to hop on the SCP Breach band-wagon which was one of the most popular gamemodes for awhile, needless to say, if I could go back, I would smack myself. 2017-2018 | The Stagnant era Much of the same, the community didn't grow much during this period because we were ALL too busy playing PUBG, Fortnite, and learning to deal with depression. Looking through the images it also looks like during 2018 we had released PoliceRP, which did REALLY, winning the category over, that is until we suffered from continous DDoS attacks presumably from our competition. 2018-2020 | Hold on boys.. daddy's going to get some cigarettes During these two years alot of shit went downhill in my life and I think I was absent from the community for damn near 12 or 13 months out of the two years. This period netted us roughly 120 players at peak between both DarkRP and MilitaryRP with very rare updates. Prior to these pretty unfortunate life events taking place (which some may know, simultaneously included a death and a nasty break up), I had purchased 2 server machines to utilize for expansion into the game Rust. Needless to say they went entirely unused and cost a fortune to keep up, so 2018 was the only year where GarnetGaming declared a loss when filing for taxes . On and off we had discussions of whether or not it was time to shut down the community, and to be honest, I'm glad we ended up choosing against it. 2020-2021 | A comeback? At the beginning of 2020 I made it clear on the forums that I intend on making a full return to the server and try to maintain my own mental health the best I can through balance. The community unfortunately had to see a string of some really personal posts from me, however there were always met with support. Thankfully, this year I was able to come across and recruit some solid people to assist me in running the community, such as Proggy, and all the servers across the board received more frequent and effective updates via the use of what we called "Update Sheets". A bi-monthly document that each server's managerial team is expected to post with ideas for new content. Shortly after this, the COVID-19 pandemic began, shutting down US states in mid-March, when myself and most all the server's management teams came together and started really grinding out those updates and throwing around ideas. Within half a year into 2020, we had effectively gone from a community who peaked at 200 players for 4-5 years, to a community whos playerbase generally did not dip underneath 300 at any point of the night. Moving into 2021 I just really hope we can finally break the 2,000 concurrent players milestone that has been making me upset for the past month The most players online was on December 30th, 2020 1:10 AM EST with 1682/2863 players on our servers! Thank you everybody who's stuck around for the ride, I get extremely excited when I come across the name of a player who's been around since 2014, which is incredibly rare, but we still have a few veteran players from the years 2016 and 2017. PS After reviewing some of these screenshots, I most definitely feel like re-formatting our forums like the old days to allow for some more misc forums, IE: Rant/Shitpost Central.

All donator weapons will now be sub-par in performance to weapons found in default loadouts. Stats that may be affected are extra recoil, spread, or lessened damage. IE: an AEK-971 will have 34 damage as opposed to the AK-74's 37 damage, with much of the other stats being similar. Sorry to those of you donating, however, i'd like to think you're donating to support the server rather than to hold an edge over other players. Base Gamemode MilitaryRP has been updated to the latest version which our DarkRP server has been running on successfully for the past 2-3 weeks, netting an average of nearly 70-80 players. If this change is found to be unstable it will be reverted, however, I am fully expecting performance to be significantly better Attachment Modifications Ammo modifications (IE: Flechette, Slug, Match) have been removed from the server. You can no longer modify the type of ammo your weapon shoots. This was a completely silly and unrealistic feature which would allow some weapons such as Shotguns to behave as snipers, and some Rifles to literally behave as SMGs or DMRs Prone Mod This feature has been reimplemented into the server. It has been requested in the past and I had admittedly entirely forgotten of its existence. Lets see how this one plays out.

Dear Garnet Gaming members, due to a recent raise in malicious events taking place within our forums, I have decided to take it upon myself to better the security of our users and myself by imposing stricter standards than our forums previously allowed for. I'd like to remind everybody that doxing and DDoSing within our community is NOT tolerated under any event, whether you think the victim deserved it for one reason or another, and any event will lead to the ban of the perpetrator and anybody involved. Part A. Admin & Moderator Permission-sets I have decided to temporarily limit all members of our community from accessing the administrator dashboard (this includes @proggy for the time being unfortunately, so you cannot reach out to him for assistance until further notice). Forum Moderators and Administrators can no longer view members' email addresses or any form of profile editing, whether this be the editing of one's profile name/profile description/viewing PMs/posting on the behalf of. These are permissions I personally would have never expected to be used maliciously, and really served no purpose, so I have decided to remove them all-together. <---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> Part B. 2-Step Authentication Members of the community may direct to Profile > Account Settings > Security and Privacy > 2-Step Authentication This will ensure that every time you log into our forums, a short electronic code will print from your mobile device to ensure that your account is secure from an event of hacking. Without immediate access to your cellular device, there is no way into your account. I fully expect all Moderating and Administrating users adapt this feature asap, otherwise you will be liable for ALL that takes place under your account, regardless of the IP or device used for any sort of malicious acts. <---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> Part C. Our Terms of Service I believe a large portion of our population simply ignored our registration terms, and I figured it'd be worth posting our current terms in this thread for users to review. I would like to remind you all that you electronically signed off and agreed to these terms upon your registration to this community. These terms are due for an overhaul fairly soon in order to EXPLICITLY include a doxing and DDoSing clause. For the record, our second paragraph already explicitly states that when offensive material is posted, you may contact myself and the administration team for the IMMEDIATE removal of the material, if this was actually carried out by the players parttaking in yesterday's situation, the staff team would have had it under control much quicker. <---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> Part D. Email-Confirmations Up to 2020 our forums never requested users to confirm their registration via e-mail, the registration process was as simple as linking your account to your Steam profile, and you are good to go. This resulted in a massive amount of spam that was entirely uncalled for. New User Approval New users on our forums will have to go through an approval process mandated by our Moderators and Administrators alike, your initial 10 posts and comments must be approved by our staff to not be shitposts or malicious in nature in order to allow you to freely utilize our forums.   20. THE SERVER HAS BEEN QUITE LITERALLY RE-WRITTEN. If we still get overflow crashes, i'm going to rip my hairs out and shove them up my ass Hello everybody, this post will not be super descriptive or ground breaking for the average player. After 7 years of maintaining and updating DarkRP 2.4.3 (old iteration) and entirely re-writing close to 70% of it for optimization purposes or converting UMSGS to the newer system net messages (pretty damn old now), Proggy had requested we try updating DarkRP to the latest version due to the fact that our servers overflows and crashes 4+ times a day, yet we still maintain an enormous playerbase. I had been working for the past 2 or 3 days overtime exclusively along with the help of Proggy on bug-testing and converting portions of our older DarkRP base to work with the newer one. Right now we are playing catch-up in returning functionality to the server in hopes for a more stable gamemode. Some features may not work, some features may have been entirely changed. Overall, some noticable changes should be a literal 40% increase in server FPS, a new hud. On the flip side, some features that do not work include (but are not limited to) Hitman Module, Rapist class, Prostitute class, and Misc entities...

  24. Accepted I know you mean well, and you have previously made it to manager, but let your own head get to you. This time around I really hope we can work more closely together and get this community fixed up, because I'm sure that's why you're applying here today. Other than that, I've always enjoyed talking to you (minus our last conversation) and we seem to mesh well.
  25. For the time being I had removed Ozzy's rank. While the reasoning behind this all summed up have taken place prior to Ozzy's appeal/unban, I do need an explanation of why Ozzy chose to hack again as a Moderator. If the best explanation to the situation is "to test shotguns' effective distance" (literally could've used console to grab your client's position relative to the map or ANYTHING else), a permanent ban is due as well. Words can't even describe how disappointed I am in the direction and the future of MilitaryRP. There is currently nobody to the best of my knowledge who is adequate or willing to step up to a managerial role, and I personally have had enough dealing with this server for the time being. It's one issue after another.
