You did insanely well for a solo-event, I was literally only there to ban/kick minges, and I teleported people on occasions. I would say utilize Jackal next time if you strictly need somebody on TP duty

Game Masters Applications open You can be one of two, the side that whines and complains just to whine and complain, or the side that applies and helps the server in creating a more fun/engaging environment. Minimum playtime of 500 requirement is waived as this server hasn't even been up for that duration of time. What's really weird is that I openned the forums, came across this post because I saw the title and was like "there is absolutely no way" but yes... there is a way. I was just making a lua code that'd check what month it is, and based off of that, it'll decide whether we spend the next 1 or 2 months (maps can repeat ONCE for another month) between Anaxes, Venator, and Kashyyyk. Ontop of this, I was comissioning a developer to make a system for MilitaryRP that I figured I would re-purpose for SWRP, whereby players can grind out passive roleplay events such as cleaning/maintaining equipment in the ship, in return for a "faction bank" which may be used to upgrade their bank. Going to see what's @Phantom's input. A project like this pulled off would be rather expensive, so I am going to start monetizing SWRP and MRP more heavily fairly soon.

Honestly, I think most players are far too entitled, and no server should have a large scale event hourly, but I did go ahead and set up Gamemaster applications so that we can host large-scale events on the event server. You can feel free to apply if you want to ease up the issue!

May the lord have mercy on my mental health with all these updates Abrupt & Random Crashes Optimization Hey guys, so I came to find out the crashes were a result of Facepunch Studio's mess up in the latest Garry's Mod update (or attempt to handle certain issues in the engine different) which backfired - we were not the only server affected, but other servers who have been up longer have taken preventative measures (SWRP has only been up for 4 days, so I was not familiar with the issue, rip) With all that being said, the set-up of our starwarsRP server was very representing of that of a new server in the sense that I added alot of effects to the server and was very skimp-ish with optimization in favor of making the server look good, because we're not hitting 100 players and I thought we can make that sacrifice. Welp, this set us back and encouraged client crashes, so I had gone ahead and gotten rid of any effects/UI elements that may have contributed to this crash, it also looks like Robotboy, a developer for Garry's Mod, is well-aware of the issue and has fixed it in the dev branch of Garry's Mod which you may utilize if your crashing persists although I anticipate for it to have gone down. PS he did go ahead and address my message on his profile yesterday, responding Spacecraft Operations NPC she stands like she's taken 20 shadow trooper d***s in her within the past hour, but let that slide please. This NPC can now be utilized to spawn yourself a ship, granted, you are at the correct job to utilize it Unfortunately with the way this panel was made, there is way to restrict jobs out of the panel, however, there's no way to restrict what ships they spawn in - so until this is fixed, I warn you that logs are very simple to keep track of, and spawning in a ship that does not belong to your class will result in a FailRP BAN and an indefinite blacklist from the respective class or any classes that can utilize aircrafts as a matter of fact. PS There is a hard limit on a limit of 5 ships being spawned at a time as to ease up on server and client lag, as our community grows, this limit may shrink further. Re-optimizing the tool would've just ended up in me entirely re-creating it, but I decided to instaed swap out all Medic classes to simply utilize the DarkRP medic kit which many larger communities in the SWRP categories utilize as I've come to find out. If the implementation of this tool for medics is now well accepted, we may look for other solutions, but I don't see anything going wrong with it, so long as people stop pretending their rambo and take gameplay more slowly.
