  1. While it does have negative issues, there are other ways to handle them in house. Personally I like the hud and the changes due to things being just a little bit more different. The same hud has been present for years and its nice to have something new. I also like seeing my kd, to know I was vital during war, or trash. Im sorry, -1

Again, and I cannot stress this enough, changing the basecamp rule to count Inside arches as US/RU base won't do anything to stop basecamp. It'll just mean you're getting killed right outside of arches instead of directly outside of base. Organizing pushes to clear "basecampers" will be just as effective in this case as it currently is. I am for other suggestions, but I don't see this current one as anything different, you'll end up dying the same, frustrated in the same way, just a few feet farther from your base than usual

Well I feel as though we both see each others points, and while we want a similar end goal, we don't have the same execution in mind. Even if my suggestion is only a small amount of difference, I dont see another option that would be too drastic.

Well what you're suggesting doesn't really do anything at all to prevent Basecamp. It's incredibly easy to sit at the arches currently, and wait for US to leave their base. People get killed directly outside of their base constantly.

Nothing will change with what you suggested. Players can still wait near the arches, and kill those who come out of them.

It allows for better clearing opertunity around said corners, you can sit on archs and shoot them as soon as they get out of base currently, with this implementation, it forces them to hold back. This is a moderate solution. I chose this parameter due to it being unreasonable to suggest something like arch render due to it being relativly close to objectives.

We are currently getting a rework to a lot of weapons, later down the line the meta is probably gonna shift away from basecamping being the norm (hopefully). I think the best course for now is to wait for the weapons update, and see if the meta shifts away from basecamp with the changes to sniping.

It has never shifted from basecamp on other weapon updates unfortunately. Basecamp has always been the most dominate playstyle, and with the arches as they are in the rule, any weapon can be used and has for the bottleneck currently. The reason this basecamp is more of an issue is because its neccesary to cross said points. There isn't a possible flank for 3 arches that can constantly have people focusing on them.

  5. Description: Changing of the base camp rules revolving around the concept of keeping people within their arches of their base. Currently the meta revolves around getting to set spots of the opposing army's arches and camping people within their own arch, keeping them from leaving a necessary bottleneck. The reason I'm suggesting this, is frankly its not fun to play against for either side. The example occurred on 12/30/2020 at approximately 2000 hours. The player count before the war started was approximately 80 players, and dropped to 66 as the war progressed. While the example is used from a US prospective, this does occur for RU players as well. I suggest for the change to make it if your within your bases arches during war, you are considered in your base. While this might cause issues in terms of sits, if you are performing this action in the first place you aren't playing a war, your just shooting of the train to kill buffalo.

Reasoning: The reasoning is, if your within that arch and shoot out of it, it allows for clearing of the soldiers holding you in the bottleneck. During the 5 minute mark you are allowed to move past the enemy arches. It causes people to quit if they aren't having fun. If your a good player, you can just shoot them as they leave the arch, which almost has the same standard, just less unfair advantage on your side.

  6. I think I made a good choice with my police department. It's majority African American and in a collage pd. Which means it would have the least negative impact on others. In training we never covered tactics I've seen. Top of my head how many hours we spent spray oc drive by? This will result in something, I just hope It isn't worse.

Ok, partial +1. I do agree that a certain GM can be added with increased permissions. However I think they should be few. Spawning large ships I can understand that. Also /setjob can be useful since the only two people that can set jobs are phantom and bishop. However I’m not sure about adding goto and bring. I think we have enough staff now that are mod+ so they can just send the Person to you. Finally I’m on a tightrope with the hp setting. I understand the usefulness of it however, it can easily be abused. Correct me if I’m wrong, but the only two people that can see the HP change, is the recipient and the one that set the HP. Once again if it’s handed out to trusted people, I can understand. It would help to have some of these, but others I don’t think we need at the moment.

I understand the teleport commands having issues, it's why I specifically listed you since you always help. It's just those few times it can be frustrating. For HP I've only ever tried to use it for NPC specifically, and people on CIS, but I can see the hesitation.

  8. I know what this might look like, but I think it could help out with GMs setting up events. There are 2 GM positions which are GMT and GM. The powers are limited to building events. Honestly I have a lot of fun doing events to keep people entertained. However this isn't a suggestion to build a whole org chart for GM. I'm suggesting a role in game to simply have a couple more powers to assist in events in the case where a Tadmin+ Is on. For Gamemasters that take their role seriously and have shown control and capability to run an event a role with a few more powers to help craft an event.

    1. /Bring would assist in bringing players over. I like to do mini events a lot for players, such as with singular Battalions and I enjoy letting them use a tank for example, or another example is someone on a droid whitelist. Bringing them saves time and allows for convince for the player. Often there is a staff that helps like Bortnik, who is on constantly, but in the rare case they aren't it can be a little frustrating.

    2. /Go-to would assist in if you are roleplaying as a civ, and need to narrate responses as you might need to move to multiple places at once, or if you need to facilitate rolls during roleplay.

    3. Changing job command. During an offworld there almost always is phantom or Bishop on, which allows this to not be a problem, but in the cases where it is, it could help with roleplay. An example would be T3 Rolling for event job. Or needing someone on a event whitelist.

    4. This one I see some usuge for, which would be spawning large CIS ships and Republic ships. During assualts on base, I feel like it would add to the roleplay, but it needs to be used carefully as someone might have issues with this.

    5. HP modifer, I think this might be a my side issue, but setting HP for hostile NPCs and event characters. Reasoning being for event characters, you don't want a CT to randomly shoot them and kill them, and for combat event characters as they don't have a medic and could use a larger pool. NPCs, I'll be honest, I would like to see it just for the ability to have a super tanky NPC boss almost. Which isn't the best reasoning but I do want to present that as a reason.

I hope this isn't to unreasonable or confusing, I couldn't locate the format for some reason, which might just be on my side.

I do have a decent amount of knowledge of the star wars lore., mostly legends right now as Disney star wars is just a fanfic to me. I have attempted to study more of the clone wars lore during this time to attempt to give idea's to GM's while playing but they tend to be more hit or miss depending on the situation. I have been playing the current star wars server since it was opened, with a direct focus on Jedi rather then clone rp out of preference to the unique place it has. I do have a decent understanding of story telling, however I also know when its best to play at a more simple event dependent on the mood of the current server. I have made mistakes during my RP, I won't deny that. However overall I do try to learn from them the best  I can.

The roles of the various battalions and the Jedi on the server can be moved like chess pieces, however one must understand unlike inanimate objects, these are people and you must keep them entertained. Which I believe I do have the ability to aid in. I do have heavy experience in MRP, which some does transfer. However having a pure MRP mindset can be detrimental, and I have been adapting it the best to my ability.
Have you ever been banned or punished on any server? If so, Include details N/A
How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: Currently I do have plenty of time, I have been on for roughly 5 to 6 hours a day. This will most likely change when the rona slows down, and I can fully get set into my position on the department.

In your own words, what  are the responsibilities of a Gamemaster?: Entertainment. That's the role of any game, SWRP is a scifi fantasy. You make sure that you have a crafted event specific to how many people on, location, characters involved, the arc of the story you are trying to present to the players on the server. Saying they are RPing wrong is one thing, however individuals have consequences to their actions  which I would push along. Understanding how peoples choices impact that story. If you can't adapt it because of something an individual clone did, you have a problem. I'm a heavy believer in rp punishments then anything else. An example being clones set charges and stand underneath the object they are destroying they would face character consequences. Like being removed from the battle for a portion of time or in much more serious situations, PKed. I myself have played in this was and suffered the consequences and understood them.

Describe how you would contribute to RP as a part of the Gamemaster team: I would focus on simple events at first to get my feet wet, and guide the people who are involved the best to my ability. I have a few ideas but I need the experience before I push them . I can keep a cool head and have a lot of patience for stupid decisions. I can handle myself under pressure with ease.

Explain your single most creative idea for contributing to the RP environment of the server: I have had other people tell me this idea is to outlandish but I think It can work pretty well. A venator rp involving the usage of Mercenary's/Pirates. I would like to execute it, but I would need to run the details to the current SA on them to make sure it can fly for the most part.

Please list and explain 5 unique event ideas of any scale: [Be sure to include any additional context that may be necessary to your explanation]

As stated in the most creative idea the usage of a form of pirates. Droids are fun to shoot, but sometimes things might need a deviation from the normal that players are used to. I like passive rp, but this is a mostly "DumbRP" situation. We receive a distress signal from a ship, and we go to investigate. However its an ambush by several pirate ships. With usage of human models, they board the ship from multiple places requiring the battalions to split in squads. The target of the pirates are one of the Jedi on board the ship, and if things don't play out correctly, it would result in consequences to the players on board.

An on world event, for when there are less players. CIS have fabricated or obtained a LAAT from a previous conflict and land on base, with no clones the wiser until the doors open with players as commandos. The goal being to destroy the shield generator  and the vehicles on base. If they succeed clones can't use any vehicles for the follow up event listed underneath this.

The CIS from the following mission are stationed in village, they only group that hasn't evacuated at a family with 7 children. The objectives would be retake the village and secure the the civilians. We would send in the best suited unit to rescue the people, which would depend on the situation. Examples being commandos best case, Jedi, ARC, or 104th. Worst case a unit which has to place in recover such as 327th. Which would allow the attack unit to be able to push in. No usage of explosives. Only blasters, and sonic grenades(which aren't present on the server currently). Failure results in the family being killed, the recovery unit being killed, or both. Which would result in RP consequences.

For off world there needs to be a lead up to it. In lore the CIS have the Bulwark Fleet against the republic on Anaxes, which this plays into. The capture of one of the tactical droids during a battle against this enemy would lead to the knowledge of a preemptive strike on the planet Kashyyyk. The battle on world would be simple, 2 ships attacking an unset objective on the map, and a company of droids led by a CPT ranked tact droid. After the capture of the droid we would have the knowledge of the attack, and alert the republic stationed closest to the location. (I don't believe we are sending clones in role play back and forth). General Grevious is leading the attack on the on planet, however he meets much heavier resistance then expected as we have the clones units prepared. This doesn't start as an assault from the clones. Only a defensive operation. We do have usage of lore Jedi now, and dependent on the players on one to two would be selected to play as them during the event and would remain on their normal characters for the battle.

I understand the passive RP in these situations are light, I approach things rather simply and believe I need more experience with working with others when it comes to passive RP. Someone like Bishop or Phantom are much more skilled in it then I am. I also understand that the first event I listed was made fun of, but I do think it could work and would rather try it, then give up on it.
