Corbz is a good friend and a solid member of the Garnet community who has always demonstrated kindness and care towards everyone. He's helped me with certain things in the past, and dedicates a huge amount of time engaging with others, both playing on the server or just chilling on discord with others. There is a lot more I could list, but as he's a previous staff member (of many times) and someone we all know and love, I don't think I need to say much more other than it's a big +1 from me.

Shin, it’s bitter-sweet to hear that you’re resigning. You have been a fantastic manager in my time knowing you, an absolute inspiration to the other staff members including myself. Your energy and enthusiasm is incredible, keeping it real with a good laugh while also maintaining a high standard in the work you have done that everyone should strive to achieve. I have the upmost respect for you and I’m sad that you’re not going to be managing on the server anymore.
On the other hand, I am incredibly excited to hear how things go with college! You’re a 300IQ guy that I know will absolutely nail it in your exams, given your immense determination. I think you’d do great in criminal psychology if that’s still something you would like to persue, and I’d love to hear all about it as you get into it. And as others have said, it will be cool to hang out, whether it’s in DarkRP, Fallout, or something else; I’ll be up for a laugh for sure.
For now, I just want to thank you for everything you have done and for being a generally amazing guy. Of course, I wish you all the best but I’ll stay in touch

An absolutely perfect application. You have a huge number of hours on the server which show a genuine commitment to the community, with no prior bans or current warns. Everything you have said about your reasons for becoming staff is awesome. Even the manor in which you convey yourself is noteworthy. I've never had any bad interactions with you either, even if we haven't spent much time chatting in-game.
Overall, I think you'd be a good addition to the staff team in my opinion and from your application, and so I wish you the best of luck

-1 - Serious question about your bans......
It seems as though there is a potential issue here. You said your steam ID is 76561199067907008 which I quickly checked to list any previous bans. Initially nothing came up, but our system was made to take the default steam ID (which is a different format than the DEC Steam ID). So after converting it, it says your ID is STEAM_0:0:553820640. Is this correct?
The reason I ask is because it shows two previous bans, one for NITRP at the beginning of last year, but more importantly, a ban last month for Mass RDM & LTAP.

I've never had any issues with you personally Rapts, in fact all of the interactions that we've had have been good. You have a huge number of hours on the server which show a genuine commitment to the community and you have previously been staff, all of which is truly great.
The reason I am giving a -1 (for now) is that you have 8 bans in the last year, the most recent (January this year) was an extended ban for multiple issues as you've said. As a previous staff member, this is even more concerning. I do absolutely agree that people can change, I believe we all mature with time. But change does indeed take time, and I don't believe that such a drastic change would happen overnight so to speak. Instead, I think this application would be a fantastic marker to show how your character has changed if you were to apply at a later date, proving that you were serious about reforming your character. And if you were to do that, I would give you a +1 instead.
This is not a dig at all because like I say, I think we have always got on well in my experience. I just hope you understand my reasoning when it comes to representing the Garnet staff team

I mean it does actually make a lot of sense to increase the prop-limit for gamemasters to hold events, if it's possible of course. And as you say, if it was attached to a class then it would prevent people from RPing with the higher prop-limit too. Plus the server is running silky-smooth with all it's recent upgrades giving good FPS. In fact, I can't think of anything negative to say at all to be honest, so it's a +1 from me

Perhaps not a Minecraft mod for GMod, but maybe an actual GG Minecraft server? You never know, one day maybe....
The best thing about GG DarkRP is that it's one of the most vanilla servers around, rather than containing a crazy amount of mostly silly and pointless addons (which other servers have). That, and the community here, is what makes GG DarkRP number 1 in my books

I suggested (when the chef was added) that food should give some kind of temporary perk, for example, eating a burger gives you the “Fatty-boom-boom-bullet-sponge” perk, which decreases your walking / running speed significantly but adds extra health. I don’t think a hunger bar would be good though, especially if I die from starvation while taking sits lol
Also, if you had to leave your base to get food, a raider could literally besiege a base, waiting for either the baser to leave or die of starvation in order to raid.

Funny enough, I'm almost certain that Mayor elections were a thing back in the early days of DarkRP many years ago. If you play DarkRP in single player (so totally boring-vanilla) then they are still a thing now in the game mode by default. So I'm assuming it was removed for some reason? Perhaps to encourage the hitman / assassin job roles? I do like the idea though, it could be really quite interesting, but I'm also interested in why it may have been removed as I can't think of anything off the top of my head right now. So I'll update my post with either a proper +1 or -1 as I learn more

Awesome update! And the performance boost is awesome. To be fair, my FPS has never been an issue (other than when the RPG death match event took place) but any boost is always appreciated
Love the fixes too, so glad we can buy perks after switching jobs now. Great work as always

Given that the cinema is now back, and we're making full use of it, it would be awesome to be able to sit down in the cinema. Also, would sitting-down prevent being slayed for being AFK? Like while watching a movie?

This is a really decent application with brilliant paragraphs. I haven't met you before, but that's not necessarily a bad thing as I also used to generally keep to myself and mostly solo basing and staying out of trouble. You have great hours on the server and have been part of the community for a long time. The only thing I would say is that while this is admirable, just don't burn yourself out by consistently doing 6-7 hours a day! But an overall +1 from me

This would be really cool to bring back. Although I think 2 days of day and 2 days of night is a bit long. I'm not sure if it's possible but maybe have it track a 24-hour time period of the time zone that the server is at? So it's day when it's day and night when it's night? Only an idea, but I did like the cycle anyways

It's especially annoying when someone att. RDM's me in a sit, taking away my health / armour, so I have to kill myself and respawn in order to re-buy my perks every time that happens (and it happens quite a lot). So this would be really helpful -

I think it would get people out of their bases more. For me, I always find that as soon as I take a sit, my coolers break off (which is my own fault really for not checking first) but it would help a great deal with that too.

The most concerning thing is the fact you're openly admitting to minging on other servers. Imagine how bad it would look for a new player to join Garnet and then recognise you from MRDMing on another server and now working on Garnet as staff? It makes the rest of us look bad.
Also you didn't read the staff rules.

I think I've seen you around in game a few times and from what I can remember you seem decent and helpful and overall active within the community,
As you've said, it's good to have staff that keep their cool. Occasionally you'll have sits where someone is trying to push your buttons, so keeping a cool head is important. Good quality to have.
In my eyes, while efficiency is also good, in some cases, I actually prefer to spend more time to help guide others. For example, I've had plenty of sits in the past where genuine new players have had fail-bases (keypads not linked to fading doors, too many fading doors, etc) and rather than simply warning / jailing them, I prefer to spend an extra 10-15 minutes helping them build their base. This way the problem gets resolved and the new player gains respect for the staff team in assisting them over simply punishing them. I'd like to think that this way they will continue to be a part of the community rather than feeling confused and frustrated and leaving. But I appreciate your enthusiasm for getting the work done too, as that is also important.
Also I'm intrigued to know more about your robotics hobby! (I'm going to bore you now) but I work as an electrician, and chose that line of work after playing around with the Wire Mod in Garry's Mod. I then transferred that basic knowledge into real life and started messing around with Arduino and ESP32 microcontrollers. I love electronics and PCB design too, and I've made a lot of different projects. I look forward to chatting to you about it sometime
Overall I think you'd be a good addition to the staff team as you seem like a genuine active member of the community with a keen interest in helping out. Best of luck!

Vortex has always been a good laugh to be around and has become a good friend. He's a long standing member of the community (I mean I know you were here a long time but 8 bloody years! Jeez!). He's always been kind and helpful, helping everyone (including myself) in game. He's a solid member of the community with countless number of hours to his name and he literally knows the game inside-out. The only thing that surprises me is that he hasn't applied to be staff sooner! I think he would do an amazing job if he were to be accepted given his mature and calm demeanour, and I have no doubt he will impart a positive impact on all of those which he meets.
