  1. The use of donator credits was addressed in my original post. Obviously, it's one of the most commonly bought items; it is a one shot kill and the only way to ensure you can keep up with the people who already have one (hence why there is a dlore meta). If you remove it, people may be more likely to buy other things than nerve gas, VIP, or dlore. Failing raids isn't an issue; having nearly impossible raids is. Even I have an ezbase where i just press a button to aim down a hallway for an instakill (extremely common design). There is no way anyone could possibly succeed unless the defender makes egregious errors. New players only get "lucky" when they are raiding other newbies (who have probably already been raided and have no items). With regards to truly new players, they aren't trying a lot of jobs, as most of them are not unlocked; there has to be an incentive to stay and unlock them, and almost ensured one hit KO doesn't help. There are functional gun stores, sure, but with a tiny customer base normally; dealing is very unprofitable. 150 ig creds may be nothing to /you/, but that is like 4 hours of time. That was also addressed in my original post, by the way (lower credit cost). It's hard to see when you have hundreds of hours in the same server, but for true casual players that is not "nothing". The main overarching issue is it widens the gap between new-veteran players to a large extent. A player should not have to grind dozens of hours or pay the server money to ensure that they have an honest chance against anyone who isn't in the same boat as them. All it needs is dmg cut to 75%
  2. this was the intent, i know for a fact when i am in jail i just converse with people and test out in what ways they can kill me or vice versa (allegedly)

ideally, there'd be no perms, you'd drop your pocket on death, and all of the weapons would be from cs:s or hl2, but i am another old man since my ignominious ban, i have been playing on other servers and they are truly awful turns out all the cool ones are dying out besides us the only mod i really desire is Wire but unless your admin staff is extremely well versed in it it is easy to make exploits or lag machines

I do rolls like this often but flips make it ao you don't have to track down people to gamble with

Garnet is pretty far from vanilla already, so this is not too much of a difference. Of course, my idea of vanilla darkrp is like 2012-2013 era, so I might be thinking like walmart brand vanilla darkrp

    pd raid rules

I think that removing the 5 min but still requiring a reason would also go a long way.

    pd raid rules

It would add some level of complexity to pd raids, but it would by no means overcomplicate them
  8. description: this is enough of a problem that you have to have a forum guide and players regularly complain in server about it Point blank, it is a scam Making the only way to buy credits sub-based and saying "just call paypal lol" is unacceptable. It isn't a great look, it makes people feel like they are being duped, and, most importantly, it is a known issue. Solution: add a single-purchase option I have had multiple new players immediately say a variation of "oh so they're ripping people off then" when I explain to them how to buy credits
  9. I agree. My new formal suggestion is make a warn always included with jailing. That basically solves all of the listed things.

    pd raid rules

description: mayor is literally just a "how long until you get rdmed" game. people raid the pd just to kill cops and the mayor, thereby creating a pd ebb and flow without allowing any real tension to build. suggestion: Require a reason for PD raid and advance notice of 5min or so. It lengthens mayor time, increases drama and planning, and makes more sense. Example reasons: -Remove law 4 (warned 5 mins ahead of time to give an opportunity to acquiesce) -TAXES TOO HIGH (5 min); for this to work a threshold needs to be set that is "raidably high" -freeing compatriots etc. For this to work, the reasons would need to be codified in the rules. The cooldown ensures both sides are prepared whilst giving mr mayor an opportunity to capitulate to their demands. Needing a reason means that the mayor can actually interact with constituents rather than hiding. I think the forced stakes and organization will create a better RP environment and entice people to actually defend the PD and feel like their raids or defenses thereof have longer lasting effects. Raid cooldown like 20min or something On top of this, mayor unable to remayor for 30min. Raiding the PD needs to be more than "legal rdm"
  11. Description: Dragonlore meta is too op. It is quite literally impossible to raid as a new player due to everyone having a one hit kill weapon and hella perks. Suggestion: decrease dragonlore damage, decrease amount of ig credits to obtain, increase amount of paid credits to obtain New players have no incentive to raid or do anything besides hide with a printer, fuck around, police (dragonlore issue arises here too), or be a storeperson scrounging for customers. The dragonlore makes P2W extremely evident, as you can just use mommy's card for 25$ and immediately get a "win firefight" button. I'd love to see more weapons become viable and starting players have a chance to raid bases that aren't just a dude in a shop. Either making them more accessible to all or nerfing them or even removing them would level the playing field, make firefights more interesting, and make gun dealers have a real purpose. The main benefit would be making the server more welcoming and less hierarchical. SIDE BENEFIT: If I have to wait to take dmg to shoot back, it is a guarantee that if they have a dlore I will just die outright. This is a reality for a lot of people and a lot of them just don't report because they did not clip it. A one shot kill gun in the meta adversely affects players' ability to protect themselves from unlawful assault. Note/inb4: I do not raid or base, all i do is fuck around; this is not me being mad I got killed by a dragonlore, this is a suggestion based on observation
  12. -1 this will just increase the wealth divide this was my main concern too imagine this +20 printers

Description: Add coinflips. A lot of servers have the flip addon that allows for 50/50 gambling independent of direct player interaction. Gambling is fun. Benefits: gambling is fun. Entertainment value by watching people lose millions due to RNG. A quick way for lucky and daring new players to increase their bank. Is fairer than most player run gambling.
  14. Not removing it, but removing it as a main-line punishment. It needs to either be improved or largely unused. It really doesn't stop then from playing, as everyone gathers around jail cells and fucks around with the imprisoned; gathering and fucking around with others is pretty much what everyone aside from printer rats does anyway
  15. -1 this is a stupid idea; there are already like 20 jobs that can mug
  16. Jailing serves the wronged party no purpose and does not serve as a deterrent. Though people are supposed to read through rules while in jail, no one does this; most of the time, jail simply means having 15 people around your cell hanging out and talking to you. We should either A. improve it or B. stop A. -lock players in the rules screen -mute, freeze and gag the player while jailed -jail in nonpublic areas in combination with the first -increase lower-end jail time -pair it with a demote or something B. -Kick the player instead -Slay the player instead -Just use warnings, which are better documentation of a player's recent behavior anyways and serve as more of a deterrent due to their ability to increase ban time -Force the player to compensate the victim for time and items lost (not good, gives advantage to rich players and is subjective). These would all serve as better rulebreak deterrents than "i might get stuck in an attention-attracting box for 3 minutes" and would discourage repeat offenses. There are a few more cool options that I found recently when banned and forced to play elsewhere that could be useful if implementable within our own admin system: -making a player's bullets not do damage for a period of time -making a player unable to spawn props for a short amount of time The first one would be great for MRDMers because they literally wouldn't be able to RDM. On top of that, even for one-offs it's a horrible disability; if you knew you were at risk of being unable to defend yourself for 5 minutes if you RDMed, RDM would become less of a palatable idea. I don't think those are current options for our system, but perhaps similar things could be implemented that serve a purpose beyond a time-out.
  17. I did not see you teleport. Also, why were you having a sit in a prison, if that's what you were doing? Also, I broke no rules, as all of my arrests were valid; just pull me to a sit.

(include any proof): I was a normal Police Officer and my jobname was unchanged. Upon arresting a raider and escorting a citizen who wanted to talk with him into the jail, I arrested all of the people who were casually messing around in it. Sad Lox said "dude seriously" and then I came back to unarrest them all after locking the PD doors. After he got unarrested, he then immediately banned me for 6 days for NITRP. I am a little confused, since I was doing my literal rpjob when banned. I am also a little perturbed at the length of sentence; moreso, by how I didn't even get a sit to explain my perceived offense prior to being banned. Why should your ban be removed?: Because it is impossible to have no intent to RP while RPing your job. Also, because it is a ridiculously long ban for a minor thing and I didn't get an explanation nor a sit.
