-1 nuff said above me, it seems that most players tend to forget that the hobo class is supposed to be so miserably broke that they don't own anything, their sole purpose is to beg on the street or preform for donations. Imo, they have no reason to have a weapon at all since they can't be mugged, raided, or arrested.

While I do agree that building with the same formula we've had in place for years can get boring and repetitive, with the exception of bases whose boundaries have already been extended via the base extension forum post; there are still many unused possibilities when it comes to base design that don't require the rules to be changed to accommodate for a lack of fresh ideas. The important thing about the rules in their current form is that most bases follow the same general formula when it comes to what is allowed and what is not. There are clearly defined features in the map, (the doorways or fences) that clearly show where the limit is. Once we introduce a vague variable like "1 meter, 2 player spaces" or something like that, then it becomes everyone's responsibility to interpret that size, leading to varying distances bulging outside base limits. Of course, people are inevitably going to jump on me with "use gmod block sizes like the 6x6 hobo hut !!" But even this referenced size is questionable or hard to understand by our inexperienced and younger players. Finally, with such a interpretation-reliant rule, it would become difficult for staff to enforce, consistency of answers may even be questionable among the staff team. DENIED I have reviewed the video provided by Hoal, and determined that the player "just deal with it" was shooting at "Dk3times" after being damaged by them initially; The reasoning for that altercation is unknown as there are no adverts exchanged in that timeframe. Regardless, if you see players shooting at each other, it does not give you the right to interfere and shoot at them; If the player who died felt that the kill was invalid or the assailant acted in disregard of the rules, it would be their responsibility to report it. As I can find no valid reason that you should have shot "just deal with it," and considering you disconnected from the server promptly after killing them; I find your punishment to be justified. In the future, please ensure that you are only shooting other players with a valid reason, (ie. self defense or advert scenarios such as raids or mugs.) @MRNICEGUY You mentioned that you had a sit with this player, provided this evidence, the staff made dictation and you're still making this forum report. I'm interested in knowing which staff member handled the situation so I can gather a little more information about what ruling they made in the sit. (To avoid double-punishing the reportee.) If you have any screenshots or clips of the sit, those would also be appreciated.

DENIED According to the provided logs, you damaged Vitamin Succ, Mer, Logan, Stoneman1335, and Smelly Fingers within the span of 90 seconds. Since this is five players damaged in a short timespan without legitimate cause, I see nothing invalid about the punishment you received; The ban will remain. Additionally, should you encounter players basing inside of the PD with printers, or any other rules being broken in-game, make sure to submit a player report with /report, and a staff member will assist you.

Well worth it I'll assure you, from both my personal experience and from hearing the players on the server, it's nothing but praise. Also, I escaped without ever finding the pinhead, I just kept running around until it let me out. lol And another time I just killed myself because I couldn't get out and also couldn't die to pinhead. I'll try again with the new buff.

This is the biggest Halloween update I've seen in my time here, and my favourite so far. Although, I've been to the backrooms a few times and never had the pinhead come after me x) - Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Love it keep it up
