The BMW is nice but I think it's also up to personal preference given that they are within the same price range and decent condition. The 240 is one of the most 90's car you could get aesthetic wise, but I'm willing to bet that it would require more maintenance given its characteristics and age. I believe they are both FRs so you won't get much of a difference performance wise, but I doubt that's what you are looking for at your age. If I were you, I would get the BMW since it would be a lot more reliable.
