  1. Is this Shepards alt account?

For real though, this is just unrealistic. People have spent real money on the ORSIS, if Garnet were to remove the weapon people would either leave the server out of frustration or chargeback the money spent. I'm not a huge fan of the Orsis either myself but removing it just will not work out good in the end.

  2. Can't wait to see what the future has in store for this community, I been loving seeing it grow so much in the past four years of playing in this community. I've met a lot of friends that don't even play on here anymore that I still hang out with thanks to this community, and probably would have never met them if it weren't for the MilitaryRP server. Thanks for continuing to support and work on the servers Garnet, these past 6-8 months especially have been some of the best moments I've seen this community have. Keep up the great work, man!

  3. Honestly I think it depends on the situation if one should remove a post or not. If someone brings a new perspective to the table that hasn't been brought up before and is relevant to the situation, then I don't think it should be removed and should be allowed to stay, regardless of who said it. However, if we have eight people saying essentially the same thing or just +1/-1ing without a proper response/not bring any new perspective or evidence to the table, then I don't think they should post anything. I know a lot of people who use ban appeals to get that "sweet sweet post count/reputation", and I also know some others who actually genuinely put effort into their replies and want to contribute to the situation.

Let me give an example, if someone just posts something like this:

     wv2CCrT.png

Then they're obviously just trying to increase their post count, and aren't contributing to the thread at all.  I think this kind of stuff should be targeted, the current rule seems just a little too "censorship" like in my opinion. However, if someone is actually trying to leave their genuine opinion and actually contributes to the thread in some way or manner, than I do believe it should still be allowed up. Sorry if my grammar is absolute aids, 3 am rn lol.

who are you again? irrelevant ass nigga. like i said, we can talk in dms. stop bringing it up in this post to be relevant.

Okay buddy. Don't understand why you're getting so upset, just trying to tell you to stop acting so stupid all the time because you're making yourself look bad lmao. I'm not going to keep arguing with you if you're just going to continue insulting me and calling me "irrelevant".

If you are actually topshot than you shouldn't even be on here AFAIK, do you really have nothing better to do than to just shit talk on a forum for a server you've been banned/nobody likes you on?

  5. Can you go in depth more about what the effects of a PK would be? From what I see if you do get PK'd you would essentially lose everything and would have to start from scratch once again. If this is the case, then I don't think this would be a good idea. This is way too extreme of a punishment for getting killed in a kidnap. I understand that this would bring more "RP" to the situation, but I don't think the trade-off is worth it. However, if there was such a punishment like getting jailed for a certain amount of time or maybe even banned from getting PK'd or some shit I could see that being a good way to put pressure on someone for complying in a kidnap situation, without them having to lose potential weeks/months of building their rank and shit.

I don't even know how well this would work on a DarkRP-styled MilRP server, this is more of a nutscript thing isn't it? Keeping track of who's been PK'd would be absolute aids to keep track of for not only staff but for 2GA as well with the roster.

I think there should be some sort of consequence to getting killed in a kidnap, but i think this would be way too extreme.

throwaway acc? you sound dumb nigga. You were the clown to charge back on this server and apply for staff.

think before what u say dumbass, there is a reason why there is a v2 in my name cuz i couldn't get on my main.

we can take this to dms if you want, if you dont then shut the fuck up

Everything you say on the forums is so cringy to see, please just stop saying dumb shit like this.

After spending this ENTIRE day arguing back and fourth with a Facepunch staff member it seems, the final verdict is that our servers are back on the master list until Garry himself comes up with a final verdict

    unknown.png

Surprisingly, Rubat(robotboy) a Facepunch developer still refers to our DDoS protected servers as 'Ping Spoofing' which is very disrespectful, but we'll let it slide.

Thank you all for supporting me today, it's been alot of help.

Thank god, was genuinely worried. Hopefully Rubat doesn't spin shit when he explains the situation to Garry. We'll just have to wait and see what the big man himself says about the situation.

I am almost certain atleast 65% of the community have custom crosshairs, It's a bit of a disadvantage for the newer players who don't know they can get these crosshairs and it just makes it easier for everyone +1

I haven't had one because I swear to god I thought they were banned on the server lmao, I didn't even know you could get "custom crosshairs" on the workshop lol.

+1 on this suggestion, now that 3'd person sniping is essentially nerfed to shit I think it'd be okay for the cross hairs to make a comeback.

  9. I mean the only thing inherently wrong from what I see is him just being on top of the roof of US DB on RU recruit, I mean I guess you could consider that FailRP but that just seems like such a miniscule thing to report someone for, it isn't like he was harming anyone or anything unless I'm missing something obvious here.

  10. +1

I know he just became active again recently but I don't think he needs so much time to "get to know the community better" again. I mean, the community doesn't change that much where he needs to wait 2-3 weeks before he can apply. I think if he wants to help the server by applying for staff then I think we should let him, even if he isn't that "connected" to the community yet. It isn't like that is going to affect him in any way in doing his job. I also have seen a lot of change in Witchings and I haven't had any bad interactions with him since his return. Because of this, I am going to plus one.

Sorry if this is written poorly, It's currently 2:30 AM as I am writing this lol.

I'd prefer the removal of 1MD altogether to match the structure of RU, but that probably wont happen. One fortified entry faction is better than two shitty ones.

Honestly I'd prefer for the removal of either of them (Preferably Marines but that's just because I'm biased omegalul) but if we did you already know the high ranking enlisted/officers for the side getting removed wouldn't go down without a fight. The proposal Dillan made is most likely the most "peaceful" option we have lol.

  12. I think this post does a great job addressing the issues US is having at the moment, but isn't it kind of weird to make 1MD a "lesser tryout" faction? If we're not going for realism then this is definitely one of the best solutions at the moment, but if people are for whatever reason worried about realism I don't think this solution will pan out.

I also agree that the recruits need to start spawning on US, at least for a little while. Personally, I think it would just be best for the spawn for recruits to be switched between the two sides bi-weekly, but I doubt Garnet would want to change it that often. This or go back to it being a neutral spawn, I think there were some issues with this option actually but I can't remember what they were lol, if someone could remind me why we switched from that I'd appreciate it.

Maybe these ideas won't pan out, but I'm glad it's at least starting to be talked about, as I do believe these are some prevalent issues the US is having at the moment.

Would MARSOC continue to function as before, or would it be a tier higher?

Good question, I think MARSOC would just continue to work as usual, right? All that's different is 1MD is a more "Advanced" kind of a faction.

    3) Air Force is making a return (Dodgy still around?) in a unique way that I think alot of other servers will soon begin mimicking, so lets enjoy it while it's an exclusive.

Airforce will be present on our main server as a combative faction, thus adding onto the US' arsenal of factions - they can participate in war in the same sense that every other faction can and cap objective. The different lays where we will have a dedicated piloting server which will be password protected and allowed for only players who are part of the Air Force. Given the password to the server by a buddy? no problem - you will just be in the default recruit class, which also has no speaking abilities on the server. Good job!

On this server members of the airforce can train using different assigned aircrafts, and even battle automatically spawned Russian Forces soldier hostile NPCs. (still trying my best to code a PROPERLY intelligent NPC on Garry's Mod, but I may use the same base we used on StarWars years back!)

Wait this is such a good idea actually, I might become a US main again once this is released lol. Can't wait for this to come out!

Gonna be a blast re-living the nostalgia with Air Force coming back lmao, gotta find Dodgy and get him back on lmao.

  14. Personally, my favorite moments were just seeing this community grow and evolve even further. I didn't achieve much during this year, other than working through the ranks in 2GA, and eventually becoming a LT under Viva.

This year for me was mainly just having fun on the server with friends rather than just focusing on the RP/War aspects of the server, so if I had to choose my favorite moments it would just have to be me hanging out with the friends I've made on this sever over the years and seeing this community continuing to grow and expand.

So, I can see grenade friendly fire being turned on as positive, as generally only players who invest time/money into the server will have those.

But turning friendly fire on for everything is asking for trouble.

It's all fun and games until a group of several people decide to mass their team on the obj, because they're new to the game/they're trolling.

This will significantly increase the bans for mass, or at the very least, the reports.

Also, I don't see MP's ever coming back due to the potential for abuse.

I'm not completely against the idea, I just think it'll cause more trouble than it's worth.

I agree with this as well. I'm not so worried about someone massing on an objective, I'm more worried about some PVT not realising I'm a friendly and gunning me down. I'd like this idea if the privates on the server weren't so incompetent, but with how I see the average private that joins daily I think this is just going to cause more harm than good.

I'm just thinking back how it used to be when it was turned on, and it was not pretty. Maybe it'd be different with the new meta and new map, but I have my money on history repeating itself. I just don't like the trade-off for adding friendly fire back, personally.

  16. +1 to both, except maybe lower the staff rank requirement if possible.

    2. Rule change to where tryouts and Debrief cannot be raided.

Why? Because it’s not really a deserved feed when you just nade debrief over and over. Ngl, I’m tired of seeing these RU leaders get wet when they nade a debrief before and after war. I can’t imagine how annoying it must be for the US leaders when they’re trying to get everyone quiet and give orders, then RU raids for the 100th time that day.

This is so fucking true lmao. Poor US can't even hold a single DB after getting fucked in war without RU SOC raiding them every time. Feeds don't even mean anything at this point, they kind of lost their "value" ever since they allowed raids during DB. It might be a pain in the ass to enforce, but it's really needed right now. Good suggestion.
