  1. Connecting staff responsibilities and something that normally is implied with the given rank (manager). Given I said "i'd like to believe" is largely an assumption that he would take care of another faction if they were repeating the issues his was. Just connecting the roles of being a manager, and what i'd like to assume he'd do if he was on the opposite end of this situation.
  2. Again, this post isn't about RU at all, I don't know why you or Fetn brought those points up. I'm a US main, this issue is US-sided. Sorry for whats happening on RU, hope its fixed soon. Play MRP for a week or two. The previous month or two was a great example if you played MRP. I spoke to a lot of US SOC/11A Officers about it, and for a large majority they agreed. Even-so, if you'd like to talk in TS about it furthermore I can give you some examples. Don't even know how to respond to this lol. Jake was never called out, the only time Jake was referenced, was when we WENT to jake first. If you read the post or the replies you'd see I claimed we went to Jake, multiple people did. Multiple times. Again, not bashing on Jake at all, just letting you know we DID in fact go to Jake. It seems like you took this as some sort of personal attack. Again, just re-read the post and the replies and literally all of your concerns you made are addressed!
  3. Yes of course, which is why I said this: This should help answer your concern in that regard.
  4. What? I go "after" Delta Force because i'm a US Main, i've never attended tryouts because i've never seen any also lack of wanting to join. I would rather the faction not get wiped, if anything improve. Within the first 2 hours of the post they've already reached out about training GB/Rangers to move into DF which is much appreciated. The goal of this post wasn't to remove, or wipe anyone in DF. Again, I stated it in the post yet it feels like its being ignored, I just want some sort of improvement to happen regardless of what it is. I don't address the RU issues because I myself am not an RU main nor do I have enough interaction with them to formulate as big of a post as this. I'm sure as an RU main you hear about RU issues more than I do. EDIT: the point of the post was largely missed, i'll restate it again. bringing the issue on the forums FORCES people to look at it and take some sort of action. it quite literally forces change to happen sooner than later. finding middle ground is super important so i'm happy to see it happen.
  5. I'll agree, I am complaining about their activity for sure. But all these points nonetheless are valid. They're just criticism of a faction and how its been "handled". Of course i'd love an explanation, but anything else coming forward is stuff we've already heard. Its a Tier 1 on US that has little to no involvement with any other factions. Keep in mind this isn't just me wanting an explanation, i'm just the one who made the post and felt like it was necessary to make it public.
  6. No of course they can lol. That was poorly worded, its playing games for weeks more-so then the one you have some sort of responsibly in.
  7. Essentially bringing an issue everyone's aware of into an actual discussion to push some sort of change in either DF's performance, or whatever management deems necessary. Obviously I never suggested a change in the post, I just wanted to criticize the FACTION and how they're affecting US as a whole. Yes and i'm aware, i've spoke to Jake, asked him questions, and attempted to learn more about what was happening, "behind the scenes". After learning and getting informed from Jake, I felt like the issue still wasn't addressed properly so I made a post after consulting people. I never said "DF Bad!". I literally gave points that address any issue I have thought of myself, or been told by other server players. I went into detail on what each one meant and wanted to provide an outlook on how we see the faction. This is a fair point, which is why I didn't suggest a specific change, more or less just wanted people talking about it. In hopes the friend group sees this post, realizes the points are valid, and improve themselves. Hell maybe even talk to me one-on-one and try to find some middle ground. I sure hope this isn't the case lol. I think all these points are fair and valid. Telling me its an annoyance and suggesting it'll ultimately pushed aside seems to line up with what I was getting at. We've been told for weeks that something's happening and we've noticed literally no change. I agree a ton with what you're saying. I myself work a full time job and have other IRL responsibilities to handle. It's not the fact they're doing IRL things, it's the fact they're playing other games, or when they do get on, don't do anything. I do understand what you're getting at though. Thanks!
  8. Disclaimer : This was suggested by a few members of the community to be put in the mrp suggestions sub-forum. However, I think it'd make more sense in general discussions, as this is generally just a discussion in order to form some sort of change. Also, you will see me reference "T1" multiple times in this post, for any non-MRP players, a T1 is the best faction on either side. [Introduction] Negligence is defined as failure to use proper care in doing something. The action of neglect can be evenly spread through a group. In this discussion i'd like to talk about and bring attention to the self-destructive tendencies of DF ( Delta Force ). For any non-MRP players, Delta Force is supposed to be the best faction on the US side. Best in player combat, best in roleplay, etc. They're supposed to set an example for the rest of US SOC, as well as the base faction. While they still manage to be great at combat, they fail to actually play enough for anyone to notice. As goes with the roleplay, however I can't state on if their RP is adequate, but that's besides the point. I'm not here to bash on their skill in Delta Force. I just want to point out that they have been majorly inactive for the last 1-2 month(s). This has ultimately led to a dead faction and the absence of a major key on US. [Topic/Point I. : Uninterested] Delta Force has generally made it aware that they are uninterested in playing the server or interacting with any members of US. Without naming names, players in DF have claimed themselves that they just lack the essential interest that's required to play a T1. Even if you discredit my claim, albeit, with no pictures given, if you play the server enough you'd be able to tell they aren't interested. They don't play, they don't interact, they essentially do the absolute bare minimum, IF that. There normally isn't an issue with being uninterested, you either move on to a different faction, or resign and move on. The issue with being uninterested in this case, or a lack of interest if you will. Is the fact that they all hold relatively limited spots in a T1. You can't sit in a faction for 2 months getting on for 15 minutes a day and claim you're having fun. If you aren't having fun, aren't interested, or don't want to play, then give someone else the opportunity to do something with that position. This point in itself can be backed up by US leaders and officers alike. [Topic/Point 2 : Unbalanced Playtime] Yes, I know this is essentially just being inactive, and that's the whole point of the post, however, I would like to discuss when they ARE on. First and foremost, being a T1 normally means you play on your respected faction. Of course, since the majority of the players are staff, they will swap over to help RU in an attempt to balance wars. Followed by an immediate AFK/logging out to play other games. When they swap over, just to log off right after, they have effectively logged in no playtime to their respective faction. I'm not saying DON'T help RU in wars, but immediately logging off after a war you played on the opposite side, does NOTHING for your main faction. The balance of their playtime is the main issue. Point being, they log on for a single war, then AFK/logout. Zero interaction with anyone, which leads everyone to believe Delta Force doesn't play. [Topic/Point 3 : Empty Promises] The leader of Delta Force has allegedly talked to his members ( from a trusted source ) about their activity recently. Little is to be done about it. No improvements, no communication to US Leaders, nothing. Empty. Promises. When you join a T1 you're essentially agreeing to play the most respected faction on your respective side. Which means you promise to play it when you can, be active in it, and interact with others while in it. The current Delta Force roster has failed to hit any of those marks within the last 2 months. This claim isn't just my own, it's most of the US SOC, if not all. Excluding Delta Force of course. [Topic/Point 4 : Lack of Actual Presence] Every Friday meetings between USSOCOM are held to discuss any issues on US, or any improvements being made. Within the last 2 months, only one notable Delta Force member has made an effort to show up and talk. Now, this isn't really make-or-break in regards to showing up to a meeting. However, it's worth noting simply because they don't attempt to do anything else within any other US SOC. No communication, no activity, no presence. Here are some screenshots ( ones I have gotten recently while in the process of typing ) where players don't know either what DF is, or who is in it. Screenshot One: https://gyazo.com/ed53d6a4cf6dc8162ccec28deecd9078 A drill instructor, a SFC, doesn't have any clue what DF or Delta Force is. Goes to show their presence is slim, this same player knows who Rangers and GB are tho. Screenshot Two: https://gyazo.com/8a17051ee6ca261802c3999d9315b96a A 2LT in the army is well aware of the issue with Delta Force. [Both screenshots are from the main MRP discord] With the couple screenshots shown, it's not too far off to assume Delta Force doesn't have the respective presence that a T1 deserves to have. [Topic/Point 5: Friend Group Factions] The idea of a friend group isn’t necessarily bad. It’s when the friend group ignores their own issues in their respective factions. They seemingly are all pretty self-aware they don’t play, but being self aware as a group, and everyone understanding the issue but doing nothing about it is the issue. I’m only bringing up this point to show the clear bias in the regard to no one attempting to fix the issue. Simply because they are all friends. Again, nothing wrong with being friends with everyone in your faction, but ignoring issues because of it is the problem. Not acting on things because of it, is the problem. I was going to make a 6th point titled, “Untouchable Faction”, but I think a post like this kind of negates that point in the event something happens ( which is the hope ). Anyways, had this post not been made, no notable progress would probably happen. This isn’t to say or disrespect the current SuperAdmin. But from what I have been told, a few players went to said SA and explained the issue, which all of US SOC are aware of. Some sort of “talk” happened, and from what we’ve been told, nothing seems to be happening. The claim “change doesn’t happen overnight” is pointless here. This has been an issue for 2 months, it shouldn’t have been one for longer then 1. [Topic/Point 6: No Current Benefit] A T1, whether they benefit by carrying war, adding to a ton RP, or literally adding anything of substance, is expected. The current Delta Force roster adds nothing as of recently. Again, as I said earlier I'm not trying to say they’re bad at combat, but they simply don’t play enough to have any effect on war. They’re out of touch with the players that are on their team, they serve no use. They don’t attempt to bring up USSOCOM members by training them into Delta Force. They do nothing at all. Instead, some members, without names, hop on the opposite side ( RU ) and interact with them. If helping RU is their top priority then they should leave the T1 and focus their efforts there. Point being, they provide nothing of substance to the server ( US Wise, which is their responsibility ). [Topic/Point 7: Staff Connections] Not calling anyone corrupt by ANY means in this point, I just want to point out a connection. The leader, being the current MRP Manager, is also self aware his faction does nothing within regards to the server. I would like to believe that had any other faction had a massive inactivity issue, they'd be talked to and expected to improve. One of which has been spoken to, and has made improvements since. This just seems like a major issue that's being slept on for no reason other than the fact, that its being avoided. This being the majority opinion in USSOCOM, it only makes sense to go bring this up publicly to be discussed so the issue is properly addressed, instead of avoided. [Conclusion] To wrap this post up, I spoke with a bunch of people about this post, whether it made sense to post. Everyone agreed that posting this thread makes the most sense, it's been a prolonged issue that has had little to no resolve. I wanna make it VERY clear, this isn't a direct attack on the players in Delta Force as PEOPLE. It's a discussion on the WHOLE faction, not the individuals. Although a few individuals may be addressed, they're attached to valid points. And please keep in mind, this is a discussion centered around this specific issue as a FACTION. NOT, individually.

(include any proof): https://streamable.com/3mkp5z This is the video of a player hitting another player with a joke, assuming I was warned for sitting on someone's head. Why should your warn be removed?: I don't believe what I did was exactly warnable. I simply sat on someone's head, and got off within a few seconds. I was the only player warned for whatever reason. I assumed if sitting on heads was against the rules, why was I the only player warned without notice. Not calling for the other players to be warned. I just think it must not be a rule if I was the only one punished for it in a group of people after the first instance of me doing it. No repercussions for Camo, I just don't want any warns added on. If its explained that its within the rights of Camo to warn me then i'm cool with the warn!
  10. DISCLAIMER : In no way am I trying to bash on the events i've been in these past few weeks, i'm just providing event structures that I proposed before the GM system. Only providing these because I think it'd be interesting if these were modified and tweaked to be used for current GMs! ( Feedback back then was mostly positive ) Link 1: It was proposed back then, that "events" going under the name "operations" had a more realistic sounding name when discussing it in-game. Noticeable things about this Operations Format: 1. ) The "GM", which in this case was myself, just went under their normal/modified MOS and briefed the Mission. This is pretty common, nothing too crazy. Everything was laid out, a plan was formed, and input was given. 2. ) The participants each had a role, it was random who showed up, so this part was mostly came up with on the spot. This promotes free-flow RP and gives the people participating involvement with the Operation. It makes it feel more important for them to succeed because THEY put their ideas in the Operation. This being said, the Operations are still structured enough to where they can't mess anything up with their planning. 3. ) There are multiple stages in the Operation. They were split off into two "Missions", the first one being Hospital File gathering, and the second being Jailhouse Files. The first one was mainly used to introduce the Operation. Introducing things like Intel Gathering so there is added RP, the "Raid" in order for the players to use their weapons, & lastly, SOC Teamwork Training ( Promotes communication/Teamwork between SOCs ). The second one having Two Stages, Stage 1 being gathering two Event Characters which were on special classes ( The Added RP ), and Stage 2 essentially being Stage 1 ( The Player Engagement ). This is split like this so it keeps all parties happy, the players who like heavy RP/the players who prefer more combat. 4. ) It had meaning and depth. The participants were told that if they succeed/fail, further repercussions in a future Server-Wide event would unfold. As shown in Link 3. Link 2: This was very similar to Link 1 in the sense that the format was structured to allow RP AND Combat. 1. ) The first noticeable thing about this Operation was that it was structured to where the entry onto the Oil Rig would begin with the death of 3 SSO. After that, it was a 5 minute defense from RU SOC. It was made so that it was fair for both sides, if RU stops the attack, they prevent information from being stolen. If US successfully extract with at least 1 person alive, they gain information for the Server-Wide event ( Link 3 ). 2. ) One side had infinite lives, one side had limited lives. It was set up like this because of the lower player pop ( 50s/60s ). It allows US to not be just sitting there with no combat, AND for RU to have a somewhat "endless" attack. 3. ) Even though RU "lost" the event, they still had fun. It was the incentive that if they win, they ACTUALLY get something, where as if they lose, they don't. Incentives provide people to be engaged, and engagement is fun regardless of if you lose. Link 3: 1. ) This was Server-Wide, meaning all the OBJs were considered "KOS to Both Sides". If the OBJ was entered, US could shoot RU, and RU could shoot US. This was how the rules were formatted, so we used what we had to our advantage. It essentially created a "War" outside of War. If that makes ANY sense. 2. ) The previous Operations HAD an effect. The intel gathering was actually information pertaining to the location of Igor ( the respective target for both sides ). Because the US Operations were more successful than the RU Operations, at the 10 minute mark, the US SOC were given a hint to Igors location. This provided depth to the Operations and gave them more of a narrative feel. 3. ) The combat was 100% there. The players who prefered combat were able to fight on the OBJs while the players who prefered RP were searching for the target. Once the target gets captured, the players who want to RP interrogate while the players who prefer combat defend the base. This allows both sides of the "RP/Combat" spectrum to be happy. 4. ) Stuff was happening constantly for both sides regardless of who won/lost. Because US captured Igor, they were prompted to interrogate for info pertaining the second Operation. While on the other side, RU was planning 3 different raids that would clear Outpost and the US Base. The Raid timer was cut to 5 minutes instead of 15, in order to allow 3 quick attempts at defusing the interrogation. 5. ) ALL players were allowed to participate in this final event, not just SOC. It took a little bit of work, but 11B were led by SOC and tasked with defending the base during the interrogation. 2GA was tasked with being the primary distraction used to help clear out the base for the Raids. Although they had small parts, they still had fun. The only reason I posted this in the Event Suggestion thread was because I didn't know where else to post it. I just wanted to provide current GM's with formats that were successful at the early introduction to events. Players liked these a lot, I feel like bringing them back up kind of brings up a discussion of if events like these are STILL liked. I also just wanted to provide the GM Team with some Operation Formats!

thats exactly what i was thinking

  12. Yeah, literally have no recollection of this happening at all. I can try and look through old Screenshots for, if you have your in-game name that'd be wonderful. I resigned a couple months ago so I'm not too sure if I even have any evidence of what happened. Considering there isn't any info for me to look for I can't promise I have proof. The whole situation you described doesn't seem to ring any bells or seem like something i'd say in a staff situation. EDIT: What does the ban message say?
  13. I try not to involve myself in this community too much anymore in order to focus on other opportunities outside of gaming. However, I think it's important to state that from an MRP perspective, the issues stem from a different period in time. Don actually made a really good point, this TDM-Style MRP situation we have had for years, used to WORK really well. People loved the gamemode, and people came on it to have some fun. The interactions were amazing, but when that war was over, people still played. We don't keep that retention anymore because the gamemode isn't as popular as it used to be. Sure, there are successful servers able to keep MRP going, but they follow a different formula. Its something they've adapted to as the gamemode was slowly progressing away from the TDM aspect. We kept that, because there was still a decent majority that liked it. But there isn't that majority anymore. As time goes on, the gamemode becomes less about TDM, and more about the position you hold. Whos in power. Who makes the decisions. And more notably, which group of players are at the top. Players more commonly now, care less about the actual content, and more or less about the relationships that give THEMSELVES opportunity. It's not something you can really change by yourself, it's a collective effort, but once it's so far gone, it's hard to piece it back together. Getting down on yourself is normal, it's natural. But letting it go on for a period of time in which it deeply begins to affect you isn't normal. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say GG-MRP was great, it was an amazing thing to get on and play with your friends. But things change, stuff gets less popular, the community changes, the people in charge change, and then you lose that special something that held everything together. In my opinion, I think its 100% in your best interest to focus on endeavors that allow you to keep being a community owner. Being consumed completely by a community you created is normally where I would draw the line. You're a great guy man, you gave people an outlet, but if things don't get better in the near future, pulling the plug on MRP might be in your best interest. *TL:DR - Popularity changes, the community changes, focus on things that allow you to do what you love more.
  14. I have a clipped moment that comes to mind whenever I think of "wholesome" GG MRP moments! https://streamable.com/s2pwgc It was my first day being brought over to RU to help SSO Leadership, and it was so much fun :^)
  15. Jus wanna get to the point, as I rarely do these but i'm in my feels so yuh @Lark We joined Rangers together on Echo under some Shrimp tryouts that lasted 3 hours. It was insane but we did it, we had a blast in rangers and continued to play together. Hell, we even left Rangers together and went to GB to work on pure war-skill. I felt like we were super close on echo, but near the end of our GB time, we kind of drifted into two-seperate groups of people and suddenly dislike each other because of it. I hate that it happened because as serious as I get, it was a blast to act like idiots together and run around on Echo doing stupid shit. No matter how much shit we have between us now, I still tell people how much I appreciated having someone as passionate as you to pass alongside me in Rangers. Shit was fun, I really really want you to do good for the community and put that passion in the right place. @Jake After I left Rangers for a brief time we had some stuff between us. Whether it was fair, or not, doesn't really matter. As now, I love talking to you about Operation ideas, RP Event ideas, & anything of that nature. Even though you were only LtCol while I was in Rangers, you were essentially the COL. When you were on, you made an effort to work with us and teach us how to hold ourselves to a higher standard. As much as I think you can be a stubborn dick sometimes, you're an amazing person who has a genuine passion to create something better for the factions you join. Thanks for that bro. @AwesomeAidan As a person, you're an amazing guy. You're one of the few leaders on the server I can just completely say anything around without getting upset. You go along with all of my shitty jokes and bits, and it actually makes me laugh so fucking hard. I think you have super good intentions and you've shown nothing but a good drive to make the server better. When you received feedback at the community meeting, you took it like a champ and made an effort to fix any mistakes you made/were making. @D_Rose I don't talk to you a ton anymore, but fucking around late at night on tinychat was such a fun thing to do lmao. Sounds dumb, but that's when I got to really know you. I've helped you a few times when things were low for you, gave you some advice, if i've met anyone thats been just an all-around nice guy on the server, it's you. You always make a good effort to make people laugh and have a good time, so props to you man. @Inca You're normally the person I go to when I have questions about anything community-based. I have a trust for you cause I know you say everything how it is, not how I might want to hear it. You always give honest feedback and you know how to state problems but follow up with an actual solution. Thanks for all the advice, it's actually helped out a lot. @Aries Mitsuri, as much as I clashed heads with your leadership, I thank you a LOT for the Officer position in MARSOC. It gave me the push to actually introduce regular-operations and big-scale events to the Main Server. I know I was inactive with work, and school clashing into Leadership, but I hope you know I wanted nothing but the best for you and Lala. I like to think we have no beef, but if we do, I apologize for anything I may have miscommunicated while under your lead. Your leadership was a fun one, and I gained so much from it. Thank you a lot. @Topshot1 I just want to apologize for anything that happened between us. I had a genuine hate and dislike people who I thought wanted nothing but to push their ideas onto others no matter what. I thought you wanted nothing but the worst for the server. I haven't really gotten to know you, and I still don't know if you truly changed. But I just want to say sorry for anything that happened between us, as I can see you just want to make the people in your friend-group have a good time. To them, you must be a super good friend. Whether the shit I gave you was deserved or not, I could care less, just keep pushing and show everyone if you changed or not. There's a lot more, but I just wanted to use this as a way to apologize to a select few and tell a small amount of people how much y'all have done for me. Glad to see the community is moving in a positive direction.
  16. As someone who has been working on Operations ( with the integration of Delta is taking a bit ) this would definitely be a good feature to have. The one thing i'd like to recommend, is for their to be MULTIPLE intel points throughout each base. This is done in order to create more then one location for Intel Gathering. Places like the Nuke rooms, Jail Rooms, War Rooms, Officer Offices, and any other significant rooms. This will not only provide more incentive to the missions, but now the RP behind the raids ACTUALLY has some cool points! Also some sort of reward, like XP. This also gives a REWARD. However, with the few Operations/Events that have happened, it's been proven that creative individuals provide very well laid out creative ways to add RP to what we currently have. And it works when people try. I see this, as a way for the less creative individuals to provide some RP behind their raids and give their enlisted a fun goal. This is a good suggestion, I like it a lot!
