  1. I'll state this, relating to the suggestion, it's unfortunate that this had to be made. I 100% agree with everything you said, every single one of these points is valid and the evidence provided is sufficient. On the MRP Staff Meeting tomorrow, although I won't be there, i'll make sure to have this point talked about and discussed. I entirely agree with members of our administration not handling suggestions properly. The member believed the suggestion was valid and didn't make it out of clear ill-intent. I had a conversation with the player in-game afterwards and was able to help him clarify some of his own points. Administration members need to realize, even if we think something is absolutely stupid, the manner that we go about denying it/debating it needs to be professional. As we are a EXAMPLE FOR THE COMMUNITY. I'm a little upset this had to even be posted, but I agree with your intent entirely. Very well thought out post and well written, I hope this type of thing is reviewed in the staff meeting tomorrow. Well done Bishop. +1, although i'm not sure what exactly will be implemented, I think these things need re-addressed. As our Administration team could benefit from this information. Good job.

    Warn Appeal

This phrase alone is what warranted the warn. Staff chat is 100% "out of character." This is what OOC stands for. All rules that apply in OOC, apply in Staff Chat. You could put a racial slur in staff chat and argue the same point you're trying to argue. It's simply not a valid argument. I don't remember being told this AT ALL when I was trained for T-Mod. And I have never seen ANYONE enforce this. I am almost certain that it's common sense not to say anything that would be against the rules in OOC, in staff chat. If someone thats high-ranking staff says otherwise, i'll be more then happy to agree with your appeal! It actually is. OOC Stands for "Out of Character". Staff chat is not in character at all, therefore making it an out of character chat/support chat. It's basically common sense imo that the same rules are to be followed when using staff chat. Overall. -1.
  3. In-game name: Stork, used to be Soap. ( Included Soap because some people commonly address me as such ) Age [minimum 15 y/o]: 17. 18 in 13 days. SteamID (https://steamid.io/): STEAM_0:1:168017376 Warns: According to the game, 0. But i've had multiple warns that haven't been active for well over several months if i'm correct. Timezone: EST. Playtime? [minimum 75 hours, use /playtime in-game]: | 75R RRC SGM Lancelot has played for 773:40:06. Do you have access to TeamSpeak and a microphone?: [YES/NO] Yes. Do you have the ability to record Garry's Mod videos?:[YES/NO] Yes. Referral(s): [What administrator recommended you to apply?] N/A ( Didn't ask, if you wan't reply if you wish to be added ) Past experiences as staff: [Optional] GG T-Mod during 2017 Era. No other experience on any servers on GMOD. I've never had any real interest in staffing on any other servers. I also probably wouldn't count this as an entirely amazing experience, as I resigned from the server about a month or so after. I was due for promotion, but denied it and resigned. How do you plan on benefiting our server? [minimum 2 paragraphs] I am well aware that at the start of my staffing experience I will be focusing on in-game sits and reports. As well as dealing with other small things. However, I want this to grow and allow myself to actually promote a serious and beneficial role to the staff team/the server. I have expressed an interest in trying to benefit the community, especially RU-US relations. With the current climate of the server, I see RU-US players clash heads over the smallest situations; simply because they're on opposing teams. I see the both sides as a SOLE community, both countries each have wants and needs that should be addressed. Things that range from class weapon changes/tweeks, to how the faction operates. My main goal is to provide more of a bridge between the countries overtime and allow RU/US players to reduce the toxicity between the countries. I'm well aware this isn't something a sole individual can provide and change alone. I want to help bring this mentality across staff members, as I have with a few individuals. ( Can be named if need-be ). Besides connecting more players together, I also have some interest in providing more staff impacts with factions. We've seen recently where staff members have to step in and remove faction leaders because situations get progressively worse. I know the server shifted overtime from more staff involvement in factions to just letting factions run themselves into the ground if need-be. I personally would like to help shift some of this, and allow staff members to step in before the faction runs itself down, and allow them to HELP the leader improve the faction. Not just remove the leader and wipe the faction. These are some pretty vague points, but if you're willing to discuss with me in TS I can shine some more light on these topics and allow myself to be more specific. I just want to keep this down to the main points, and give an insight. Have you ever been banned or punished on GG MRP? If so, Include details: I was previously banned for 2-3 months by phantom during 2017. I came on during a summer day about 4 months or so after I quit, and proceeded to MassRDM. I owned up to this situation after a while and I believe me and Phantom had a discussion on what happened and how my behavior was. He gave me a chance and I proved myself over time, climbing to LtCol in a faction. My behavior has 100% changed since then, and I have multiple people from that ERA that can attest to this. I can 100% understand why this might sway some decisions. If you wish, i'd recommend asking the person that banned me at the time, Phantom; if my behavior has changed, as he's the one who banned me. Have you made any previous applications, If so when?: Sometime in 2017 on the old-forums. I tried to use the "Wayback Machine" to find the exact time, but I was unable to access the website. How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: I typically work randomly through the week, however with my current school from 8:55 - 10:45, I normally only work around 20 hours a week. I normally have time to staff from 11 AM EST - 10 PM EST during the week on days i'm free. I typically work 4 days a week, leaving time to staff, as well as I normally get off work around 8:30. Which allows me to have time in the evenings when I get home.
  4. Any encounter i've had with Ting has been positive. Whenever talks have went around of improving US SOC or just in general, any improvement, Ting is quick to talk and bring up ideas. I can see him as a staff member who cares MORE about the well being of the server, rather than his own rank and sit count. Ting will 100% care about the community over his own personal gains. Big +1.
  5. Donator classes shouldn't play a role. If anything, some players that want the PKM ( assuming there are any ) can join Vega and gain access for free rather then drop money on a class. Just because a weapon is on another class doesn't mean it should be removed. If the original intention was changed a while ago, then it should serve no purpose in this post. It doesn't matter what the class USED to do. Its how it acts NOW. However, I understand that the class can be changed using your example. The PKM isn't a god awful weapon, i've seen prestige players post up on OBJs like Village and EMB and hold down defense like champs. It's a decent weapon and it's even better when it's used correctly. Village has plenty of windows for positioning an LMG and providing covering fire or just spraying down shots. It's super useful on Village, US has used LMG classes on village a LOT. Players like Stapleton who play on Jugg a LOT are normally used at Village because of his awareness with the LMG provided. I've seen a lot of hate towards LMGs having to use bipods, but I think they're fine the way they are.
  6. -1. I don't believe the weapon should be changed for an SMG. Currently, Vega already has a class as you stated that acts as a decently close-to-mid range weapon. Removing the PKM and replacing it with an SMG makes that classes purpose and value drop down. I believe there are uses for Enforcer, I just believe you aren't being creative or searching for every available spot to bipod on OBJ's. Also, I wanna address this: If you are using a bipod in a situation that allows yourself to be SNIPED from someone halfway across the map, then you are using the class WRONG. It's not meant for long-range at all. EMB has plenty of spots to bipod up and create covering fire and your fellow soldiers. Even WH offers a good spot that US Rangers have known about for a while where you can bipod. Again, village also provides good vantage points to bipod and provide support fire. We set up Juggs/LMG Classes to bipod all the time in village for that sole purpose. Again, a big -1, as Vega you need to prepared to use the class as its intended, not in poor situations. You also haven't provided enough in your suggestion for me to see enough reason to remove the PKM. I'm 100% open to discussion though! EDIT: Cringe reacting instead of just disagreeing or quoting and responding with feedback doesn't help.
  7. This was super fun to be apart of, glad I got to understand how a server handles under the influence of 17 Davy Crockett's and 200 1000 lb bombs!
  8. Doing something dumb, being punished for it, and reacting like this. Thats all i'll say on it, again, it's shitpost central.
  9. I get its shitpost central, but this is not the best look boys....
  10. +1. This helps bring back value to SOC Sniper classes. Making this weapon more on par with the Orsis will draw some value to the class. Which can in turn, make some people strive for MARSOC. No point in it hitting for 125 anyways, its not like people are running around with 125 HP. Even then 300 HP Classes still need 3 shots to die in the body from the current m82.
  11. Although I think the clip is sus, this is nowhere near enough evidence to convict him of walling. Sure, I agree, the headshot thing was a little odd, but every now and then someone does something insane. I think having more clips uploaded and ready would've been a much smarter move, especially post-silo-ban. Hopefully this doesn't become an issue again; however, if more evidence is provided and is concrete, then I think this appeal will be a no-brainer.
  12. Absolutely huge +1. There is some emphasis to point out that the Orsis takes away use from SOC Specific sniper classes. These class weapons that take a LOT of time and skill to acquire, such as Ranger L115, or Vega SV98 need to have more draw and value. What's the point of having 3 player limited SOC long-ranged classes if the snipers can't compete with the Orsis? The Orsis being as good as it is, acts as basically a permanent sniper class no matter what you're playing. Instead of people playing on US Ranger : Ghost for the L115, we basically just use the class as a glorified player-model. I would love for the L115 to have a use in war, and for it to have a presence. Same goes for the SV98. But due to the fact the Donor Weapons ( AEK/Orsis ) are better then everything else, the L115 and SV98 have no purpose. Again, I just want to put some emphasis on adding more value to US SOC Sniper classes. Conway pretty much summed up my thoughts on the Orsis. EDIT: I would also like to point out, before MARSOC was wiped, they all agreed that although the M82 on MARSOC Sniper is a good weapon, it doesn't compete with the Orsis in anyway. They said they'd love for the M82 to have more value, and for that Sniper class to be full.
  13. My friend just went through the same thing except it was a semi, his 2003 330xi was totaled but hes fine. BMW's are gettin bodied. Feel better soon man!
  14. I have a few things to say on the matters that were brought up in the replies. I'd like to say that this is in fact true. History repeats itself, and right now, the history of having more than 1 Entry is again repeating itself. We can date all the way back to cs_desert with the 3 Entry Faction duration of the server. It didn't go well for long. Within a while Army was suffering due to lack of appeal. I agree a lot with what Shrimps stated. If you're a true faction leader who cares about the betterment of A FACTION rather then YOUR RANK, you'd understand why this will better US side entries. As a leader your first priority should be responsibility for the current state of US. Furthermore, as a US Entry Leader, you need to take into consideration how Army is doing. You should be constantly communicating to Doof about the state of entry factions. Army is NOT doing well in the enlisted side of things, it makes no sense to have more than one entry faction. Your rank shouldn't determine how much you care about your faction. I don't want to in anyway shit on you Micheal, but you're being extremely unprofessional and demonstrating behaviors of a power-hungry leader who only cares about his rank. None of these players need to play Marines to understand the state of Entry factions and how they affect the US Side of the server. Simply playing the server and being apart of an entry faction gives them that experience. What you said is the equivalent to saying, "People who have political opinions have nothing to do with the president! So don't have an opinion!". The picture Phantom provided should be a good example of the competency demonstrated from Michael. I have nothing against Michael and have had few interactions in game with him directly. But seeing some of the responses he's given to players is enough for me to formulate a fact-based opinion on Michael's leadership skills. If the server happens to remove 1MD, MARSOC needs to be given to another leader that will be able to run a SOC faction. Props to Phantom for actually providing some evidence. Being a leader means taking criticism and handling it when it's received. Do you seriously think Phantom never received ANY criticism in his time as a Leader? You need to learn how to respond to a negative viewpoint on your leadership, because stating, "You have nothing good to say!" will not cut it in the slightest.
  15. I don't want to sound like the old typical, "I'm a vet!"; but in this case there have been plenty of Officers that use Raids as a means to teach formations, tactics, and promote teamwork throughout the factions. I would love to see Base Factions use them to promote teamwork and allow themselves to try out different formations. Raids have always had a bigger purpose then just fat feeds, it's just the OFFICERS are the ones that lack the creativity to adapt raids into something more than just shooting. I wouldn't agree with this. Yes, there are warleads that address all of SOC and say "Do what you want", but that rarely happens. Warleads love to place SOC on Rotations between OBJ's during 3 OBJ Wars. Not every WL thinks the same, although I will agree, sometimes we are ignored.
  16. Again, I don't think that just because it feels good to get a big feed, that it outweighs the benefits and USE of DB Protection.
  17. DB Protection was added to combat, again, DB's being blown up by another faction, which is extremely annoying for officers and enlisted INSIDE the DB. A Raid should not be focused on getting a "massive DB feed!". If that's your only reason to raid, rather then to keep a prolonged attack on a base, then why are you doing it? I don't really agree with this. Raiding is still fun, just because you can't shoot a massive group of people in US/RU DB doesn't make Raids worthless. They still have a purpose, and the main purpose isn't to get a massive DB Feed. Most tryouts are moved outside of main DB's, if that's really an issue then once everyone is at your tryout have them follow you to a second area where you begin the tryouts. Just because you can't deagle someone in the forehead for turning once in DB, then hold it outside of DB and accomplish the same exact thing. If they continue to run back into your tryouts, use the /report feature and report them for FailRP. Personally, I believe DB Protection being a feature on the server is a much more positive feature then negative, it also protects PVT's/New players from massing a US/RU Post/Pre-War DB.
  18. +1 Something to add to this, Marines themselves actually agree that moving towards 1MD not being base would benefit not only themselves, but the rest of US. Allowing 11B to filter out the Minges/Trolls (like they used to) normally makes the rest of the factions have less Minges/Trolls to deal with. Obviously 1MD wouldn't have insanely difficult tryouts, but it would just be for the players who have an interest in playing for a little longer than a war or two. Right now, it's like throwing two options with one option being far more appealing. You stick a private in a room and ask them if they want to be in the Army, or become a Marine, a majority of the time they'll be a Marine. This isn't an opinion, its stated as a fact with the numbers of Marine Enlisted continuing to rise, leaving 11B Enlisted, in the dirt. Good suggestion Dillan
  19. I don't think it would be as confusing as people say it would. People, at least in this past week, uncommonly get kidnapped.
  20. More often than not, this is the case is almost every kidnapping I have taken apart of. Players don't see any negatives to getting kidnapped because there, respectively, aren't any. Adding PK's to kidnapping will overall boost the sense of, "Okay, I need to cooperate in order to stay alive, but not give away so much information that my faction suffers X & X." It also adds more of a fear to being alone outside of base, as well as boosting the sense of GROUP patrols in order to reduce the chances of being kidnapped. +1
  21. Hope it gets fixed and resolved, i'm having trouble even figuring out how you would go about contacting Facepunch... For now, people can still access the server on their legacy browser, its right smack dab in the recent servers list. Sorry this happened at the start of 2020 man.

    Mikel Report

This alone should be enough reason for this report to be accepted. The rule is clearly stated, and as shown, the reportee has admittedly stated that promotion was given without him being on for the allotted time period. I'd +1 this.
