I make sure to stream its progress and take criticism/ideas from viewers, IE: @Jake giving me some blueprints to create a military air base, and countless other users requesting of me to scrap a prior "Compound" objective, replacing it with "Construction" for sniper use. Streams can be found at the following link: While I don't like the "shameless begging", if anybody is interested in donating to directly support ME and the progression of the community, as opposed to "donating for virtual items" you are welcome to be a viewer on the stream and do so, all proceedings from there will just go to buying myself a supportive chair so i'm not in massive amounts of pain after 10 hour mapping sessions. Map Variations There will likely be 2 variations of this map, Variation 1 will feature lower FPS, a super tall skybox for aircrafts, and the heavy use of vehicular transportation, with an open feeling Variation 2 will feature well optimized fps, with tunnels leading between objectives (think rp_downtown from DarkRP or rp_rockford) - limited vehicle use, and no aircrafts I am not ruling off the opportunity to port this map over to have a forest or jungle variation either in the future. Size This entire map will be 40% smaller than Delta/Echo to give you a good idea of how large of a bump this is; running from each respective base to an objective will be achieved in 30-40 seconds instead of a minute and running between objectives can be achieved in 15-20 seconds instead of 30-40 seconds. Reasoning The entire ideology behind this map is fast-paced roleplay that favors risky gameplay, largely taking away from the existing "sniper" meta, I aim to defeat the need to run for an entire minute between objectives, just to get sniped from who the fuck knows where, and having to rinse and repeat. with that being said, I'm making it an effort to include the following "optimized" gameplay regions: x1 long range/sniper objective - Construction Zone (northern) 1x medium range/rifle&lmg objective - City Center (centeral) 1x close range/shotgun&smg objective - Warehouse/Industrial District (southern) In addition to this, the inclusion of almost a hundred buildings on a map, with the majority of them having a reasonably detailed interior, you can expect to have more engaging roleplay, with the possibility of future implementation of event systems. This largely depends on finding the right developer, or just funding a good enough staff team to allow me to take time away to exclusively learn how to develop such things in lua. Aparh 383 Posted October 17, 2020 Share Posted October 17, 2020 (edited) I really like how this map is coming along, I hopped in to 2-3 of the streams and can see the hard work you're putting into this map. I'm excited to see this be brought to light, i would really like to see the aircrafts be used as a part of this map, I feel they can make very engaging RP Scenarios if used correctly by the GMs. Edited October 17, 2020 by Aparh Quote Link to comment
