(include any proof): I had received an RPG for the first time and I was very excited, you could say it was a dream come true. I was going to test it out with a couple of pals and this group of people took the rocket to the chin and I didn't know what had happened. I tried saying so in the sit, but Whiskey decided to say otherwise and that I had "Mass RDMed" on purpose and the person who reported me (Fat Good Boi) said he accepted the apology and that he wouldn't want me to be banned or have any other consequence because he understood my situation. Thank you, Jutty Link to comment
Gabbox 67
Whenever a sit is initiated it is the staff member's job to say the punishment if the reportee is proven to be guilty Link to comment
Community Director AlexConway 1,153 Posted February 13 Community Director Share Posted February 13 (edited) Hey there, Sorry to hear you were banned. In some cases, Moderators have discretion to forgo a punishment. Often times in single-party or isolated incidents, the reporter “dropping a report” can be factored into this. I often times don’t warn or jail new players even if the reporter “wants them punished”. It is truly up to the staff member, not the reporter. However, it’s not some magical coverall that can pardon any punishment (which is a common misconception), on more serious offenses such as MassRDM, etc. Moderators are absolutely expected to uphold the violated rule and issue the corresponding punishment, as long as there is proof. Which is the case here. I’ll let the DarkRP Administration Team handle this one, and if this is your first ban, they may consider a reduction. Edited February 13 by AlexConway Link to comment
Whiskeyy 32
Untitled video - Made with Clipchamp (20) (streamable.com) if you look at the end of the clip you will see no raid advert before you shot the rocket and it was directly into a crowd of people. I get that it may have been a mistake but things like this happen and I personally don't see you on ever so 2 weeks should be a piece of cake. Plus I don't recommend doing this again Link to comment
DarkRP Administration Team Danny_The_Dog 154 Posted February 14 DarkRP Administration Team Share Posted February 14 DENIED After reviewing the clip proved I have decided the deny your initial appeal. Instead I will reduce it to 1 week for Unintentional Mass RDM and this is why: You didn't advert anything that make all the kills valid but it does seem like you're pretty new and just got your hands on the RPG. All I'd suggest is to be VERY careful from now on and to familiarize yourself with the rules Thank you for attempting an appeal, as well as the effort you have put into your appeal. Link to comment
