Proof of Ban:
What happened? (include any proof): I was banned for supposedly doxing or requesting to have doxed, former staff member "ZachDLC". Something that I didn't do.
Why should your ban be removed?: Before I get into my points, I would like to mention this appeal is made purely for Garnet or proggy to speak on, as they are the only people who were involved or know anything about what happened. Now if we're looking at this from the stand point that I doxed ZachDLC, there was never any proof that did. I'm not a hacker, neither do I know how to get someones personal information on the level in which Zach's was gathered, so unless there is some secret proof that exposed me, this reason for my ban is ruled out. But if my ban is under the pretense that I requested someone to dox ZachDLC, then there's more explaining to do. I'm going to be referring to a PM conversation with proggy and Garnet I was instructed to make to appeal my ban. I'm going to list my points in a list, according to our conversation. I'm going to be using these screenshots (https://imgur.com/a/7lIaXMh) to make my points.

Now in these screenshots, it's very easy to summarize the point that the reason I was assumed of requesting the doxing of ZachDLC is because I invited him to a now deleted discord server called "methhouse".  But before I deconstruct his argument, I want to apologize for what Zach had to go through, regardless of it not being my fault. No one deserves to be in his position, especially over some petty gmod drama bullshit, and I feel sorry you, Zach. But anyways, on to my very simple points.

1. Zach wasn't even in the discord I invited the guy to.

2. Zach's dox had already but publicized before the person who doxed him was in that discord server, and there was absolutely nothing a discord server invite would have changed.

3. How could a guy in a discord lead to a full blown dox, on someone who's not even in the discord? Inviting someone to methhouse, where private information was not shared, never lead to a dox

4. There's absolutely no proof I requested to have anyone doxed, and there's not a single bit of sufficient evidence exists proving that I am affiliated with or worked with the person who doxed Zach whatsoever.

5. Why would the word of a doxxer, someone who is quite literally a criminal, who doxed Zach, and who wasn't connected to GG servers, be taken over the word of a long time player who hasn't had malicious intent towards the server nor its members?

the first time i appealed i was instructed to appeal in a PM conversation with Garnet and proggy, where I was ignored for 2 months and eventually had my original appeal thread deleted and proggy left the conversation.

Proggy said that he has the screenshot from the guy who doxed Zach saying that you requested for him to be doxed. Proggy gave that screenshot to garnet as said in the screenshots you provided of the conversation.

But it's a discord that is supposedly "hell bent" on harassing ZachDLC so it wouldn't matter if he was in there or not.

if this proof is as sufficient as you think then its strange to me that not only was it kept private from me for no particular or clear reason, but my appeal couldn't even be formally answered, but rather completely ignored. and as i stated later in my post, i dont know what the word of a literal criminal would be taken as 100% fact, when hes been proven to be targeting other members of the community.

i still dont get what he meant by this claim, considering proggy wasn't in the discord either. everyone that was active there could vouch that only about 3-4 people fell under that label. regardless, no personal information was shared in that discord, and trying to say i was one of the people that i was one of the people that hated Zach is completely arbitrary because the point of my point is that I didn't do anything, and that i didn't understand how a discord with no private information in it would be the cause of someone getting doxed.

To me, this doesn't make sense that someone's word alone was used as the reason for a community ban, regardless of who said it. That being said, anybody could come into the community, try to dox someone, and then say someone else asked them to and drag someone else into their situation whether they were involved or not. Guilty by association is not something that flies in this community, otherwise a large majority of the player base would be looking at a community ban right now.

It seems unlikely to me that Garnet would support a community ban if that were the only evidence presented, leading me to believe that there is something else going on here, or proggy was acting on his own volition.  Anyways, evidence in any case is rarely withheld from the community permitting it isn't of a sensitive nature (e.g Hacking cases where evidence was acquired through means Administration wishes to keeps wraps on), so unless Garnet has something to say, or Proggy wishes to provide the evidence, I don't think a ban was warranted based on interpersonal differences.

To be clear, I didn't delete your original appeal & my forum inbox was also full so I had to clear it to be able to accept PM's again. 

I felt it was appropriate to ban you because nobody knew the doxxer except for you, and he even claimed you were the one to request it .
He joined that discord, extensively doxxed zach on a pastebin, and dipped. I doubt he ever even joined a garnet gaming server. 

I sent the PM of the doxxer saying you requested him to doxx Zach privately to Garnet, and he left it on read. I waited for a while for a response and tried to get him to take a second look at it maybe a week later or so when bumping into him on TS but it never got a response. I'm sorry this never got resolved.

I feel if you we're truly innocent of it, you would've constantly been on our ass about resolving the case. Why is this just now coming back?

In any case, I do have additional evidence but again, it should only be looked at by Garnet. I will be sending the additional proof to Garnet and I'll see if he can respond to this. 

 

I don't like withholding evidence from the community either, but it's a very serious matter that has people wary about their conversations being shared.

For now, I'm locking this.

Not really sure how I was deeply involved if ZachDLC was the one silly guy to supposedly ban another without concrete evidence, which I always make a point NOT to do. I also rarely get involved in staff reports/appeals unless they get out of hand.

moving on to my next point that is in no way related to your ban, you took it upon yourself to say that my terms of services are illegal, which you know, would've landed me a court date over the past decade you'd think (not to mention that I don't even think you're referring to a revision that we haven’t even been using)

You admit to getting caught doxing Zach, or taking part in it, yet you just denied it moments ago in your appeal? odd.

I don't make responses to ban appeals in PMs, as I've mentioned previously.

 

Yet again, making reference to a ToS we do not use, and accusing me of "Evading Taxes". Had you noticed when you make a payment on PayPal it is always a payment for VIRTUAL GOODS and never a donation? wonder how that works huh. Prometheus out-the-box uses "donation portal" as a generic name. It's a mutual understanding that it's a payment for virtual goods, but funny how you are very manipulative and don't mention that my terms of service explicitly state it is a virtual good with no physical exchanging of items. 

 

Based off of the above information, I would like to make the final verdict that you are community banned for life with no option of appeal, your steam ID will be hard-banned by code. 

Knowing the nature of your kind, we will probably have run-ins with eachother, because the type to social engineer and dox usually don't give in easy, and try their best to harass people.

Hope you have a good rest of your day, and also hope you stop committing crime on the internet, while you feel invisible right now, it may bite you in the future before you know it, seen it happen to old staff and friends of mine YEARS AGO when they played on Garnet and thought they were invisible.
