    Bank Vault

This has been addressed for the next upcoming update for the server.

    unban man:(

Clearly you're not looking for an unban, but I can't understand why you spent 5 minutes of your life doing this
  3. I really appreciate the support man. At the end of the day, things will be ok whether Garnet stays up or not (atleast for me personally) so I'd just ask you to check up on Proggy since I know you two are somewhat friendly with one another.
  4. As per all the -1s, there is just not a point to this.
  5. The lotto limit was raised to 250,000 (from 150,000) as per alot of the prior comments in this thread, I think 500k is just unfeasible for the majority of players.
  6. There is now a timer on claimed printers allowing you to know when they're going to expire.
  7. This is a non-issue, you simply need to connect with the Chromium branch of Garry's Mod.
  8. Seems simple enough to add with enough support, implemented.
  9. Unfortunately collision callbacks caused issues which crashed the server, they were very rare, but I would like to avoid crashes which pertain to sweps that users have access to. If garry's mod receives an update to correct this issue, I may re-enable throwable SWEPs with velocities, but if i'm being honest, I don't know if it was the SWEP's code or its model that caused the crash.
  10. Look man, i'm well aware if Cyber departed and Proggy was to return you'd be back, with that being said, a mistake was made, the second party apologized, and as far as everybody involved, that should've been the end of that situation. Where I think some immaturity showed is in the decision to "block off your genuine community friends to avoid drama" when in reality, the majority of us just enjoyed you as a person and wanted to keep in touch, but that is just water under the bridge, and doesn't in any way have to do with the topic discussion here. I did add you on Discord if you wanted to catch up.
  11. This has been added onto the server for the next restart
  12. I appreciate your advice man, I would love to diversify and that was the attempt with Rust, before moving on to larger projects, but unfortunately, it doesn't always seem to be playing in our favor. I know there's been many mentions of Minecraft and whatnot, but unfortunately, that's not my area of expertise; neither would I know how to grow in a game without a built-in browser.
  13. All due respect back to you, yes, Proggy is by far one of the most level-headed individuals and i'm super sad with how the situation had gone, to the point where admittedly, i'm doubting if i'll keep Garnet much longer - but i'm trying to piece it together for the time being. You saying there's no replacement for proggy is just redundant because that is exactly what I mentioned in my above post, and it seems like you just did that to antagonize Cyber. You yourself had departed from our server in a very immature manner months ago where you blocked your own friends and supporters, then moved on with life; all because you had a disagreement with somebody. Finally, mentioning that arbitrary "12+ hours a day into Garnet" is just a bit redundant, I do not expect of anybody to be around for that long a period of time. When it comes to me and Proggy, I tried to move us into a situation where things are more financially viable, but failed to accomplish this. I would have been willing to continue to try, but it didn't seem like Proggy was favoring the idea at that point, and understandably so.
  14. There are really no conveyor belts in Garry's Mod, and i'm doubtful the physics engine of this game would make it very pleasant. I've seen servers in the past allow players to turn props into "ice" which means props slide against them, but it was never really successfully used for a gun shop. Unfortunately, this will not be implemented as it only sounds like a good idea on paper.
  15. Implemented - this may result in items on the second page going missing if not withdrawn and used by 8/13/2023
  16. Hey buddy, there aren't really any fires and smokes, we just lost a very valuable member, but I guess it had to happen. The servers will get the same updates they have been getting, but specifically the server you play on will be getting the next one. Yes he will
  17. Hello Garnet Gaming members, Following a bunch of messages in regards to the current situation, and although I prefer to handle things privately, in the effort of being transparent with you all, I figured it'd be best I make a proper thread to address our current situation, following the departure of Proggy, who held a management role within our community and was a long time member of our community. As of 8/10/2023, Proggy is no longer a part of our community or the overall management team. With that being said, just to clarify he is not banned or prohibited from re-joining our community and there is no bad blood. Proggy made the decision to depart from the community following a discussion about the state of our Rust community, and after 4 years of working together, I wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors. He is a fantastic individual who knew how to make those around him feel at ease. Being that many people had asked me about the reason for having made the decision of cutting the ties with Proggy as a member of our Rust roster, the reason is performance and finances. Our Rust community is a very expensive endeavor, and Proggy got delegated the task of their management as of this year - that was meant to be his sole role within the community - and anything more was done at the discretion of his own due to loving our DarkRP server. For full transparency - our goal in mind was to reboot said Rust servers, bring them up to standard, and allow for the purchase of packages within our store, allowing proggy to receive 100% of the profits they generate. Unfortunately this was met with no success (not solely at a fault of his own, but many external factors) - and after months and months of pushing back deadlines of when we will shut down Rust, this past weekend was a boiling point as our Rust servers hit a bottom low and became a COMPLETE liability. Throughout the recent decline of the Rust Community, I reached out to Proggy to renegotiate his terms (to his favor) on several occasions as I felt they were not fair with how much time he insisted on putting into the server; as well as the fact I was not seeing Rust do well and was trying to find ways to provide him a livable wage, but unfortunately these attempts felt very one-sided on my end, and he would either decline or never following through with re-negotiations. To transparently discuss the loss amount, it is north of $20,000. With that being said, no plan was determined for opening another server within a new game to dive into in order to create supplemental income for Proggy at this time, and it didn't seem like something that was worth exploring at the very last moment for either sides of us due to the turmoil. In regards to Rust, as this was a revolving question as well and understandably so since we have hundreds of members there, i'm trying to determine who would be the most experienced person to be hired for the task of managing our Rust community with identical conditions as a one last try type of deal, before closing off Rust entirely. I have had a DOZEN private applications upon Proggy's departure, but unfortunately, and as cheesy as this may sound, i'm currently re-evaluating alot of responsibilities I do and do not want to hold - because besides holding a high degree of a financial responsibility over another individual, I feel like the type of bond I had with Proggy isn't at all replaceable, and things will not feel the same. There are some external factors to this that have made life immensely stressful, consisting of some topics I hadn't brought up publicly, like me and my partner's miscarriage, my recent hospital visits, and at this point of time, going through a drastic change is anything but welcome - but i'll have to figure it out as the owner of this community. Thank you for reading through and being understanding, I hope many of you will stick around to see the changes the community will be going through as we focus on growing the playerbase and focusing on a more player-centric and community involved attitude. Because for the time being, I'll be dousing myself in server-related tasks to do anything but have to think through this ongoing situation
  18. The server has gotten such an extensive update, I forgot to make update patches over the past month. Oops. Here is a quick catch up NEW MAP (and new HUD) Fully custom Anaxes, made from the ground up by our beloved mapper @Diomonder Inventory System Create any combinations of outfits as you wish with one single playermodel Quests Complete quests in order to gather resources - these resources can be used to craft body parts and other misc items Quests can be obtained through NPCs that procedurally spawn across the map, or a quest board located at base And a billion more things that are unfortunately forgotten about, but a post had to be made at some point :^(
  19. RP_Garnet_Caspian Once again, thank you to our full-time mapper@Diomonder Dio was given full control and asked for "a map with plenty of cover", and he did not disappoint. This map is loosely based off of Battlefield's Caspian Border and has a skybox large enough for the ease of use of helicopters US Base Objective A Objective B Objective C Misc Terrain Afghan Base
  20. Hi Nelson, unfortunately WireMod is not an option for our server. It opens the server to a list of exploits that I'm not willing to sit down and figure out at this time, there are over terminal addons that do not utilize Wiremod.
  21. Our newest map developed by @Diomonder Ever so slightly optimized by myself so I can be a little rat and take some credit for realistically 0.7% of the work This is by far our most overly developed map to date (and mot expensive ) Codename: Sierra This map has been trademarked as property of the Garnet Networks LLC No scummy clone servers will be able to use even the littlest part of this map without their community being taken offline Taliban Base US Military Base COMMS Castle Quarry Misc Terrain Occupation Period 10 minutes following to war, an 'Occupation Period' will initiate, During this time, players may interact with flags located on every POI (points of interest) on the map, in order to "occupy it". US Occupied COMMS AFG (Terrorist) Occupied COMMS Occupied areas will be locked for a period of 20 minutes and belong to the faction that was most successful at capturing the objective (similarly to Objective war) Only one new occupation can be active at a time, meaning, a faction can't simply spread out and simultaneously attempt to occupy multiple spots across the map. In the future, these points will be used in order to promote a faction's economy, thus allowing them more weapons/attachments/transport vehicles/armored fighting vehicles Context Menu Shortcuts NEW OPTION The ability to toggle objective indicators during war have been added Additionally, descriptors have been added to all selectable options
  22. War System *NEW* Hardpoint *NEW* In this new warmode, there's only one single active objective at a time, and this objective rotates every certain amount of time (Currently 2 and a half minutes). Factions must hold the objective as long as possible before the switch. The faction that holds the objective actively accumulates points towards their nation's score, and the nation that reaches 250 points first wins. If 250 points isn't reached by the end of war (35 minutes) - it is considered a stalemate/tie. You will know which objective is active, as there will be a marker on your map guiding you to the new location! As well as a chat print, accommodated by a beam of light stemming from the objective Objectives In order to aid new players, the map will now display the locations at which the objectives are found! Rank System Players will now carry an insignia above their left shoulder displaying the rank they hold within their faction OOC Lounge NPC Support NPCs have been added to be used in order to be taken to the OOC lounge There will also be an NPC that can return you to the game world when you have had enough of the OOC lounge Arcade Certified hood classics such as Snake, Minesweeper, and tetris! Featuring the one singular scoreboard for Snake Casino Makes a complete return! Backrooms Teleporter re-enabled The Backrooms Scoreboard Enabled! Navigation mesh generated for Pinhead Other Changes... GMs can now spawn 2 pairs of teleporters (total of 4 doors)
  23. Server Performance Optimizations One more client-side oriented optimization has been pushed through, thank you so much @MrTooTooT for your help! This patch shouldn't improve your frames much (roughly 3-5%), however, your minimum frames should increase by 20-30% on average, providing an overall more stable experience on our smallest maps, such as our current These changes will be most noticeable during war time. Helicopters The Modern Collection With the new promise of our Lore team taking initiative to host more RP-oriented events, a multitude of helicopters has been added to our server The majority of these helicopters are armed and can be used in order to create air combat scenarios Weaponry Telescopics Simple telescopics is going to be the new default when joining our server In order to revert back to custom telescopics, players will simply hold "C" for the context menu where our client-side settings have been updated to be inclusive of telescopics! Dragoon Quickscoping functionality has been re-enabled AEK-971 Recoil rate lowered to be similar to that of the AK-74 AK-47 & AK-47M Shortened barrel length damage reduction has been lowered from 10% to 5% Planes WW2 era and later planes have been added to the server, primarily for Afghani use Classes Green Beret Demolition Corrected the firerate of the M3 Super to its correct value Afghan Elite Allowed access to Taliban radio communications Scoreboard Added conditions to hide Gamemasters and Recruits/Civilian, similarly to our StarwarsRP server Additionally, imported elements from our StarwarsRP server, including categorial sorting (US sorted with US, AFG sorted with AFG) Playtime display in its own category Administration Head Gamemaster Now has access to the /events command Spawn with a Toolgun by default Duel System Corrected the leaderboard temporarily - so players are able to see statistics AMAZING FORMATTING EY^ The leaderboard is going to go through multiple changes in the VERY NEAR future, including an elo system, and a unique "medals" system. Similarly to CSGO (yeah, I know, kinda lame) players will be awarded medals dependent upon their elo, with the most prestigious players having the most reserved medals. Current medals (ranks 1-11) Conscript, Sentry, Striker, Assault, Paladin, Stormbringer, Sentinel, Renegade, Imperator, Commandant, Ascendant These medals will be able to be viewed when standing nearby to a player and holding E on them, or when killed by a player during war (still debating this) Here's part of the cool formula for competing servers to inevitably try and steal when the time comes! worked on this for awhile opponent_elo = opponent_elo + k * (0 - (1 - win_probability))
  24. Proggy is usually never this vocal, you must be actual scum
