  1. Thank you for the tag, allow me to suggest something back that'd help even more than a map: A FUN AND ENGAGING EXECUTIVE AND FACTION LEADERSHIP TEAM. Create a fun environment to roleplay in, keep players engaged and having fun so they don't feel the need to change the map every 9 business days. Currently at the hands of the Executive team is an automated event systems that lets you create endless possibilities, IE: strongholds, NPC raids, and really just anything you can think of. Generally, these events can be made in 20-30 minutes, and can provide HOURS of fun gameplay. AN INNOVATIVE GAMEMASTERS TEAM Immersive, fun to participate events that are thought through, who knows, if there's some good GMs coming up I might just literally throw the SWRP event system onto MRP, allowing GMs to set spawns on-the-go and go to offworld (alternative map) events With a more serious tone since you went out of your way to create this thread (and while yes, these features could be great for gameplay, I think they'd hardly be necessary if we had good leadership and more player engagement). On the new map, there WILL be a toggleable generator. Creating a debrief map is simple enough, another version to match would be virtually impossible unless I was given a blueprint of one. However, there is literally no room for tunnels on this desert map with zero mountain, and powercores wouldn't make much sense.
  2. Thank you for making this post. These are all sounding like incredibly easy things to fix, I will just have to re-create them and/or be sent a video of the occurrence. As for your second point, as far as Natural despawn timers, it sounds like some admin+ deliberately messed around with the config and broke it without letting anybody know, because that is quite literally a server-sided dial you can turn, and if it hits 0 or -1, despawns will cease to happen. (they're a default feature) Granted, this only happens when the car explodes. We currently have no feature that causes your vehicle to despawn unless it is severely damaged, is this something you and the community were interested in?

Bounty Hunter System Bugs Players who are made /unwanted will no longer go under bounty Tracker SWEP - POSTPONED TILL 5/23/2023 Bounty Hunters may now utilize the Digital Tracker tool in order to cycle between bounty targets, your digital tracker will beep louder and louder the closer you are to your victim To get started, Bounty Hunters will use their right mouse button in order to pop up the "Bounty Tracker" UI, in which they will be able to choose their target Once selected, they may start utilizing their digital tracker swep in order to ping at them.   5. Garfield Gamers, I wanted to take a second to let you all know that i'm planning on making some changes for the betterment of my mental health. As many of you know, I've been working tirelessly for almost two years to provide MULTIPLE weekly updates on our servers, and while I've received some incredibly kind and grateful feedback from many of you, unfortunately these have DRASTICALLY subsided as players had gotten used and feeling entitled to these unrealistic standards, and I've received an overwhelming amount of complaints and criticism, despite the fact that I work harder than any other server owner within Garry's Mod (WOULD LOVE TO BE PROVEN WRONG ON THAT NOTE). As a side note: We presently do not outsource work due to low standards, and our server update subforum has more content in a week than some other well-known communities receive in a full year. Despite this and regardless of my efforts to communicate with some of you all and let you know that the server is a work in progress, some players are still incredibly quick to yell and berate myself for things not being absolutely perfect from the get-go (let alone something as simple as restarting the server at inconvenient times to one of 50 players), and I feel like I've been spreading myself too thin trying to appease the community by releasing so many of these full-content updates and code-base maintenance for this 10 years old game. Adding insult to injury, it's become abundantly clear that between StarwarsRP and MilitaryRP (PRIMARILY MILITARYRP) our playerbase had become so incredibly tired and bored of the administrative team not completing their roles, that they rely on ME to carry the server through updates, while the teams are doing nearly nothing to facilitate roleplay and players to enjoy the community - because in the case of MilitaryRP, GMs are as good as useless, and the management team has no pushed for any notable changes in over a year - until recently with our new wave of Admins - which we are still waiting to see their full potential in management roles. This is not a position I wish to be in, it's far too much pressure, and I heavily weigh shutting things down at times. With all the negative being said, The changes coming moving forward should not be all that bad. As opposed to providing weekly or bi-weekly updates (biweekly as in once or twice a week), I will instead be providing monthly or bi-monthly updates (once every month or two), with a similar level of content to what you see in today's update. I hope that this will allow me to continue to improve the community while also taking a step back to ensure that I do not get more and more bitter to the point of nearly giving up the community, due to a severe lack of appreciation. Thank you for your understanding, and I look forward to continuing to work with you all in the future. I apologize if this post came out of the blue. Vehicles A spawner for vehicles has been added to each respective base, being that this map is TINY and may lead to FPS degregations, I maay choose to severely limit the spawnrate of vehicles at a later time Duel System Reinstated for our new map Foxtrot, including the Bunker and Killhouse arenas! A duel NPC has been spawned in each respective faction's base, and the code for Duels has been modified somewhat to disallow on-going arenas from being used for a period of 60 seconds from the last duel's completion. Class Changes The Notorious Goat Spawnpoints set for this class Taliban Army : Sharpshooter corrected slot count to 4 Weapon Changes Defibrilators Given the Defib weapon a total of 3 uses Once the 3 uses are up, the defibrillator will drop to the ground Additionally, a 20 second cooldown between defib attempts has been added RPK-74 Extended magazine size has been turned up to 60 from 45 Missions System Last seen active on the server in 2021, despite being a very effective solution for downtime on the server. Current mission modes include Kidnapping, Raids, Intel raiding, Base Maintanence (Cleanups), and Assassinations. As time goes on, i'd love to correct any issues that may or may not be present, as I know the system isn't perfect. but I feel strongly that I could patch any bugs associated with it! Also, raids are to be called directly from the missions NPC moving forward! Example of Intel raid: Miscellaneous & Bugs Anti Headglitching Rewrote the addon that I last worked on in 2021 to fix headglitching on Omega, hopefully the new iteration is more robust and works more effectively The Crouch Jumping Catalyst After almost a decade of dumb rules to prevent a default, yet broken Garry's Mod mechanic, I have decided to give it a unique solution. Players who are crouch jumping will have their playermodel's hitbox grow in size to encompass a larger area, allowing for players to be hit, no matter how large an attempt is made to break their playermodels Vehicle Driver/Passenger Behavior Players inside of vehicles will no longer take damage from gunshots, however, explosive damage from grenades and RPGs are doubled, meaning, an indirect rocket hit that'd do 60 damage, will now deal 120 damage to all those in the vehicle Prone Mod Removed for an 18th time Spawn Protection Re-enabled for a 13th map revision HUD Attempted to fix issue under whcih some players' names would not draw on your screen Recruit Spawn Your 1st annual "Boost Taliban" day starts today, all recruits will begin spawning in as AFG Recruits as opposed to spawning in spawn room

Imagine blocking off an available gameplay mechanic and warning people for it EDIT: It took me roughly 2 minutes to write experimental code to keep the player's hitbox hull in its correct position when they crouch jump, I will try out this code over the next week so crouch-jumping is a non-issue and players don't get banned for playing on their instinct.   12. Thanks to our mapper @Diomonder, the map Foxtrot dropped today as a surprise for anybody who's been tired of cscdesert. I will keep this post short so you guys can head on in-game and check it out, some notable things that can't be skipped however are, this map is 50% the size of Delta, and roughly 30% smaller than even Omega which is our smallest map to date. It takes about 9 seconds to run to an objective from your faction's gate. I have done absolutely 0 optimizations to this map, and as such, frames might suffer until we decide whether or not we like this map enough to keep it! Some screenshots:

LVS is still in development, however, it shows a more promising future as it is more condensed/cohesive with efficient code when compared to the earlier version As a result of this, some aircrafts may be missing from the server, but have no fear, they will be re-added over time!   18. Hello Garnetto members, I'll be trying my best to keep this post short and sweet. It's no secret I've been hauling ass on the servers for quite some time. I've been gradually making progress on a massive lump of optimizations for the StarwarsRP server, which have been getting released over the course of the last 12 hours onto the live server I am extremely pleased to announce that we have effectively gone over the past ~4 months from a server that struggles to host 70 players at a tickrate of 11, to a server perfectly capable of hosting 128 players at 22 tickrate - assuming GMs aren't going too far with their NPC spawns. Tomorrow morning this update patch will be completed and fully released, and I expect SOME things to potentially require some adjustments/fixing, one of which is weapon scopes being entirely broken. I would like to kindly ask for your assistance. Please keep me informed if you encounter any issues or concerns and I will try my best to fix them ASAP!

  20. I miss the days where the crowd of an MRP server would abuse headglitching and the most fucked up angles on a map just to kill you and attack your whole ancestry. It drove players to try harder. This is a PvP game, toxicity during war is not something that I think we should try and eliminate. On the contrary, during OOC/Peace-time and anything that is personal/overreaching, sure.
  21. Droid Ambushes Players exploring anaxes may be ambushed by groups of droids, going outside by yourself is a dangerous mission. The further you are out from base, the more dangerous droids may be Jetpacks Currently, Jetpacks are the second biggest FPS and performance issue present on the server, and they are overused to a large degree - borderline abused at all times of the day In order to stabilize server performance and balance the use of jetpacks, the classes which may utilize the jetpack have been limited, and the over-powered jetpack fuel levels have been optimized to allow a total of ~12 seconds of flight time before having to land and re-generate (previously 28). The fact we had allowed players to fly across the entire map with very little fuel consumption for so long is ridiculous, but that is my fault for not addressing this sooner. To balance out lesser fuel, recharge rate has also been significantly buffed from 40 seconds to 100%, down to 10 seconds.
