  1. I gave up after last night out of frustration. Basecamp is something both sides do, so I'm not pointing fingers. So are bad wars, which always narrows down to either numbers or how many snipers are playing the enemy side.

Transport helps, if you have money, untill you have someone watching that. Cars work, untill they get shot to pieces. Smokes work, untill they don't. Two gates work, till someone sits in positions to cover both.

Basecamp was actually the reason certain rules were put in place. Like surrendering. The only person who could surrender was the highest ranked player, because he would immediately be falsed by the next highest in line. It was a deterrent, you don't let me have fun, you won't. I don't even know why or when it was removed, I just remember calling it, and getting laughed at.

TLDR, nothing of value in anything I said, a salty rant.

  2. Afg died again during January which is one reason I gave it up, couldn't invest the time to help it with scheduling. If you want to help anyone, it's the fuel for the enemy base faction. The bad guys. The good guys are boring, but sustainable. Flipping the status quo for something that would make things worse off? Pointless.

Marines and seals are cool, no doubt, but in the grand scheme is irrelevant. Sorry but it is, and that's coming from a guy who played both of those factions. Army is fine, GB is fine, Rangers are fine, delta could have better players, but is also fine.

ISI is the only thing helpful right now, and Badri could use it. However that's not what needs to get fixed, some form of automation for training and hooks for AFG base faction are, otherwise you'll always just get US rejects, and people who come back for nostalgia like me. Keep this suggestion in your back pocket for when US actually needs it, and focus your attention to what matters.

    Player Speed

Heavily cut down on player speed introduced in the latest update

It was previously 33% quicker than figures in the past, but it has now been nerfed to 20% quicker movement speeds

    Cinema

Introduced to the under-utilized spawnroom of the map

Opposing wall will allow a visitor queue, the Staff On Duty class holds the right to overrule all queued videos.

TO DO: add a /cinema command with a 30 second teleport timer which will also strip you of all weapons, and hand you some popcorn!

    MOTD

Updated to the latest version provided by @Bizzy

(seems to not be working at the moment, will check for errors)

    Factions

    ISI

Added to Taliban 'U' Group Radio/Chat

    Added to missions menu (T-side)

    War Damage

Introduced damage filtering to the War System - friendly damage has been enabled, albeit you will only receive 20% damage from teammates, IE: a 105 damage Orsis shot would instead hit a teammate for 21.

Nerve gas, Grenades, and RPG rounds will deal full damage to teammates - BE CAREFUL 😉

^ this figure can always be cut down, but I think full damage is a good way of encouraging players to not be dumb with their explosives ^

    Inventory System

Updated to the latest version, I've created a couple of components to hopefully stimulate somebody enough to the point where they will suggest some changes for the inventory system, because frankly, i'd love to see members and the staff team requesting real, fun content as opposed to "oh... we could add a CINEMA" when we've had an inventory system with crafting sitting there for a good 2-3 months unutilized.

    New keybind: I

TO DO: Add bandages and Painkillers

Add Medical NPC to sell you these entities

Set cap on bandages to heal you up to 50 health, and painkillers up to 85.

Bandages can be used at any HP range, whereas painkillers can only be used when above 50 HP.

    Missions

    Integrated into Echo's Beta map

    5d9b4ba49dad67cd7220ae01c608fbe7.jpg

    Removed base-cleanup temporarily 🙂

In the works: silly little filler missions that will take up your time between war, IE: maintenance mission to the bridges around the map where you fix the tarmac

So a weird question I have is what the craft system is based on or similar too, just so I could have an idea of what it could be used for, like does it include xp gain similar to grind servers, I do like grinds.

  4. I was one of the reasons reserves were revised initially back then. I possed reserves in multiple factions as either a ltcol, or col reserves, due to leading factions. The problem people had with it, is they didn't like to be ordered by retired, or people swapping to their other leadership to meta or power game.

Personally I enjoyed having 5 reserves, but I know that time is gone.

however specifically assigning GMs is the part I'm not sure about

The reasoning behind this, is because Gamemasters would get closer to a faction that they are assigned to. Same logic applys to community engagement in policing. You assign an officer to an area, and they stay in that area, resulting in more informal relationship. It would allow for GMs and their assigned faction to reach a more common ground.

The other reason is due to a chain of command. If you go with any GM on, what's most likely to occur is a faction with just verbally state what they want to do, without any planning within that peacetime, which could result in a higher amount of failed rp elements.

People generally do not want to do something unless they are made to do it, and assinging narrows the focus. It allows directly allows GMs to know which factions are more supportive towards gms and events, vs pure war factions.

  6. Description:

Assignments for Gamemasters on SOC factions. Gamemasters typically have unigue styles. Some GMs prefer to use preset dupes for a non-rp combat situation FFA, or Capture the flag, placing temporary artifical gamemodes around the map, especially thanks to the addition of the Witcher portal system. Some GMs like to make minor RP scenarios, placing npcs or players to guard or ambush, some GMs like to place passive rp buildings, such as camps and unique buildings to promote player RP.

Problems arise with the player base usually due to miscommunication on what the Gamemaster is trying to create. They also arrise from broken rules during the event, such as a "murder hobo". Players might go off script in a way unplanned. Resulting in a GM feeling like he wasn't satisfying enough for players, or players feeling like Gamemasters don't know what they are trying to create.

I belive in player influenced rp, the player decides how things should go in a set piece. Which is what I'm thinking of here. Players directly requesting a type of player inputed event. By assinging a soc faction to a Gamemaster, they would directly assist the faction to promote this.

An example being if I was assigned to Green Beret. GB would type up an operation they wish to perform based on information or information gathering. Say the information is to be used to PK a player, a 2LT for example. The GM would look at the OP plan, discuss what the options are for it, and approve a final copy. The final copy would be oberseved by the Head GM, depending on what it is, and it would be executed by the Soc team and GM. A GM could set disguises to enter the base to allow for a spotter, make a nest for a sniper to observe from, and execute the player during a peace time.

     Reasoning:

The result being players influencing the game world, with the GMs just supporting the system. Allowing for soc teams to be more then a team that dominates in certain aspects of war.

It would also allow creativity from the players, which might influence them to become GMs. Taking some of the creative load off of GMs.

MRP is fundamentally different then SRP by several margins. Trying to copy storylines is not possible on MRP, considering the Lore differences in the two groups. The PVP aspect is also a factor, considering SRP is PVE. The faction differences are present, a clone is a clone, even if he is a Wolfpack flamer, or a 212th jetpack fly boy, verses different mindsets on war such as rangers focusing on sniping and TSFU in cqc. Copying the SRP event systems would just do not work on MRP.

     Additional Information:

This wouldn't remove a GMs ability to create their own events, or create events for entry either. This would just put the ball in players hands on what kind of RP they would enjoy on the server.

I placed this suggestion to see player feedback on MRP, if it's something that would want to be attempted. Low or negative feedback is an answer in of itself.
